Mercedes AMG GT4 Race Car Testing at Monza Circuit!

- This video is about some Mercedes AMG GT4s I recorded testing at Monza Circuit last year. They derive from the AMG GT R but they feature all the adjustments and mods required to be raced in the GT4-class. The engine is the GT R's one, a 4.0-liter twin turbo V8 engine, but slightly restricted (around 510hp compared to the 585 of the street legal car) in order to comply with the Balance of Performance.

I'm happy that the GT3 cars continue to use the proper 6.2 Liter NA engine, they sound so much better than this
You have to keep in mind that the gt4 class cars are much less modified than the gt3 Cars.
You can clearly hear it with the aston martin vantage, both use the same engine but sound different.
GT4 are a lot quieter than the GT3 cars. Been to a lot of races that have GT4 as a support race and the difference is huge. I’m sure when AMG do decide to use the 4.0 in the GT3 it’ll be loud af.
@@jpracing893 I mean, it does reflect how much more quiet road cars are in their stock form than race cars. Still, must say the GT3 cars just sound better as a whole.
400K SUBS CONGRATS MAN!
one of my favourite cars
Always nice to see a car in your vids when you know how it sounds in real live :D But my favorite GT4 is the M4 ;)
And of course very good video as always :)
Stay healthy bozzy!
M4 in real life is epic. Just drowns out all the other cars. Makes me wonder why everyone else doesn’t make theirs as loud though.
Man, I'd love to drive one of these! 😍
Been waiting for this! Awesome!
Mercedes gt4 in monza to prove that the car resists to coronavirus
Lol how:)
@@joe125ful you stay inside the car doing laps at monza for days having fun until quarantine its over :)
@@fabiogon8223 But you can do that with any car...well open cars is not best idea:)
@@joe125ful but if youre rich(im not:() i think its much better to ride a amg gt4 than a opel corsa for example :)
@@fabiogon8223 Or Bentley or Aston BR9.
But open cars are still bad:)
Love these test videos!
Great vid! Really enjoyed the shots from Ascari.
Bozzy spero che la situazione cambi così ricomincerai a registrare nuovi video...bel video cmq! Continua così!✌️
Mighty sound!
nice content bro 😍
Nice video as usual mate. How is it going your side ? Hope everything is all good for and around you buddy...
Has a similar sound in tone to the AMG biturbo V12 used in the 65 models and the Pagani Huayra
Grazie Grazie Grazie speriamo di tornare prima possibile a Monza........FORZA MILANO FORZA ITALIA
M4 is the beat Sounding GT4
That's Mercedes GT car looks when racing but sounds it's roaring like a tiger
Is it supercharged? I couldn’t help notice the whining.
Most likely the transmission makin the whining noise. I believe it is a 4l turbo v8
The engine is exactly from street car, albeit slightly detuned because of
Balance of Performance.
The whining comes from transmission which is sequential
早くgrスープラgt4の姿も見たいなぁ〜!
So its now Mercedes AMG GT-R now?:)
So somewhere there is Nissan GTR with SLS engine?
Well, Mercedes had the CLK GTR back un the 90s, so its not new 😁
when you do more horsepower on the streets than on track
Horsepower isn't the most important thing in racecars, and besides it's a GT4 spec car so yeah
why these cars have low slipstream
