Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo 2020 in action at Monza Circuit: Accelerations, Fly Bys & Great V8 Sound!

- Here a video fully focused on various Mercedes AMG GT3 cars featuring the new 'Evo 2020' kit I recorded in the last two years at Monza Circuit during various test days or racing weekends (that's why you may spot dramatic changes of seasons from clip to clip). The AMG 'Evo' is easily and mainly recognizable by the different front, with the bigger and angry mouth, but it also features an upgraded rear end with a new diffuser and side openings. Headlights have been upgraded to the current style of the AMG GT road car too. Listen to the always great sounding naturally-aspirated V8 engine!

I wish F1 would adopt some kind of adapted LMP1H regulations. The difference in engine and hybrid in that class was amazing. The difference in the looks was nice too.

Uhmm, it's not really noticeable if you don't pay attention, but there are considerable differences in the shapes of the spoilers. The engines, just a little bit; some teams have the same engine supplier, though all teams adapt the engines to their cars.
Such difference was a problem, though; some teams have been overwhelmingly dominant for the last 7-8 years. With the new regulations, though, there will be more skill involved in the final results. We'll see what happens.
@@ossimlz Nothing compares to 4cyl 8MJ vs V8 6MJ vs turbo diesel V6 4MJ (example of the 2015 WEC season). Also we saw cars with Le Mans aero fighting cars with full downforce aero at Silverstone. No other class of cars were as exciting as this in recent history. Maybe SGT but there they have a defined engine formula so can't compare.
F1 should use these regulations.
@@Willbrse Nothing compares in terms of what, exactly? Efficiency? Actually no other engine in motorsports can compete with F1's efficiency and overall power output considering size. If it's down to personal preference, that's opinion based, though understandable.
I think F1 has been in the right place as the pinnacle of all motorsports and is going into the best direction so far. We'll see what it's like this year.

Seen this many times in person. It’s one of the few cars that make the ground shake, it’s noise is so bassy and low. Not many like it.

@@marktucker208 There's hope for synthetic fuel developed by Porsche and ExxonMobil. If it works maybe combustion engines will survive in motorsport.
@@marktucker208 feel they will for performance, M159 has held its own nowadays and in GT3 you always see it pull ahead on a straight and out of the corners as it’s powerful., but the TT V8 offers the same with less weight.

I’ve recently picked this car as my main weapon of choice across all racing sims, since it’s available in all of them. And my god is it a beast. The growl/roar of the V8 is beautiful.

3:42 - behold beholders, that's 3-5 G's of deceleration. 😎 the physics of the AMG's front/mid-engine layout on the brakes will put you through the windshield (and here you thought the power of it's engine was it's only "party trick").

anyone know if these cars are running mufflers ? the amg does sound a bit muffled for an NA v8. The Porsches are super loud but look like they have some sort of cannon right before the muffler tips.
only the panoz gt1 of the late 90s comes close to a thundering v8 but the merc v8 sounds awesome and is the panoz of the modern era in sound

Just out of curiosity, if this car is naturally aspirated, how come it sounds like it has a supercharger, what is the high pitch wine you hear at the beginning and other parts when the car is moving slowly?
