    Great video, thank you for going through this. At 5:18 , is that component to the left of the planetary gear actuated by a separate solenoid or the actuator motor its self?
    My LR3 SE seems to be stuck in diff lock (chirps the wheels when turning hard) and I’m trying to narrow down which components I need to start looking at, thank you.

    Hi Neil from RSA, thanks for the informative video. Can you please answer my Question.
    I have a LR3 and use it sometimes towing a bush caravan weight 1.5 tons some times thick sand in Botswana. Should I drive manual shift to maintain higher rev 2000rpm to protect engine gearbox etc.

    is it a very common issue on the discovery 3, but on the year 2006 there was many many problems inc this one

      Yea there was a recall for all the 2006 models on the transfer cases, and there’s a tsb out for it but for the most part it wasn’t really a common issue especially for 07 and later. Very rare
