Brown-headed cowbirds make such weird noises

I can’t help but look around for the water gurgling every time these guys come by; they sound like a cartoon water drop, haha.
Guest appearances by chipmunks Timmy and Theodore, a blue jay, and a mourning dove

I love these weird sounds the Brown-Headed Cowbirds make, too! 🥰 Sounds like liquid dripping from a faucet or something. LOL I think the males do it to attract the females (or, at least grab their attention). When I first witnessed this behavior, I was puzzled as to why they did this. Now knowing the purpose behind this courtship ritual, I still find it funny and cute to watch to this day. 😆🥰 Thanks for sharing! 🤗❤🐦

Yes, I believe it is a courting thing, but the sound is so different from other birds! When they first appear every spring, I am looking around for water leaks for a few minutes haha
