Acapulco 1980 archive footage

Archival footage shot by an amateur filmmaker while visiting Mexico in 1980.
It contains stock footage of Acapulco, a major seaport in the state of Guerrero on the Pacific coast of Mexico: passengers disembarking from a Condor Airlines Boeing 747 at Acapulco Airport, people enjoying relaxation on the beach, tourists staying in a luxury resort (today's Dreams Resort & Spa), divers preparing to jump from La Quebrada cliff, yachts mooring at the port, a man taking off with a parachute on the beach, a boat excursion in the ocean (Island Safari), panoramic views of the harbor, and much more.

I was there for 2 weeks in 1979. It was a way more "rustic" and rough, than it is today.

yo fui con mis papas a Acapulco ese mismo año nos hospedamos en el Hotel Ritz
Aclarando ese camarógrafo de amateur no tiene nada es un verdadero profesional documentalista pocas imágenes hay así de bien echas de esos tiempos

Que hermoso era Acapulco en esa época, tantos bellos recuerdos de mi infancia cuando mis padres me llevaban de vacaciones, prefiero quedarme con esta imagen no con lo que ahora es, algo horrible lleno de basura y delincuencia.
