Maysama is all about Pulsed light! 🚨 Pulsed LED doubles the peak power during pulse ‘on’ phase, which increases light penetration and enhances biological effect 💪. I just got the Maysama head to heart. I have the first current body mask and I can’t wait to get it off. It’s so uncomfortable and I don’t like how the charger is attached to the mask. I have the neck and chest part too and i find the whole thing uncomfortable. I’ve watched the Maysama interviews on your channel and on other channels and I like the founder and how much she knows and cares. And i like that the new chest one has pulsing lights and the chin feature. And i like that the face has the lips. I also like using it with their serum. They’ve done so much research and they know more about the results than talking to a big company like current body. Also, the combo set is cheaper at Maysama. Thanks Trina. I love your videos! ❤

    Hands down Series 2 is the best..no comparison. Blue light is mostly for younger women not to say older women don't get acne but most over 40 doesnt have that issue and skin aging is the primary concern. I also want to say.my age spots have diminished and Id be more comfortable buying something that has been tested and vetted for its quality.

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  3 месяца назад +7

      Thanks for sharing what is most important to you! I love to hear it! You're lucky that you don't get acne or congestion. I never had issues with acne until I was well into adulthood. My hormonal acne just as I entered perimenopause was very painful and tough to get rid of. I also still get forehead acne from wearing hats and sun shields to protect my skin from the sun, which many mature women do on a daily basis. So acne can most definitely be an issue for older women like me. I'm almost 50 and still deal with it. I assume you don't have melasma either? You hit the skincare lottery!

      @@beautybeyond40 Thanks for sharing your experience-I appreciate hearing about your journey with hormonal acne and the challenges you’ve faced. It’s clear that skin issues don’t just disappear as we age, and I respect that everyone’s skin concerns are unique. I never meant to imply that women in their 40s or 50s don’t struggle with acne; I was just pointing out that for many, the focus shifts more toward aging concerns.
      That said, I noticed the sarcasm in your response, and while I get that frustration, we’re all here to share insights and help each other out. Since you present your feedback openly, I’m sure you’re up for a bit of constructive conversation too. I think we can both agree that skincare is a personal journey, and there’s room for different perspectives. Looking forward to more useful exchanges!

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  2 месяца назад +3

      Someone asked me this in the private Facebook group, and here’s what I said: I don't have this mask, but it looks similar to the Current Body Series 2 mask. The chin/neck area sits a little differently than the Current Body one, so I would look at the pictures to determine which fit would be best for your skin concerns. The Current Body has 236 LEDs while the Rajani one has 234, so it's almost the same. Irradiance of 30 mW/cm² is the same.
      10 minutes - 3-5x a week is the same. Price with my CB promo code is almost exactly the same. Both are FDA cleared. Rajani site says "clinically proven treatment" but I see no clinical trials of this specific mask so it seems that are relying on existing clinical trials about LED technology and not this specific mask - which is something to always look out for as brands often word this to mislead you into thinking a specific device has been clinically tested when it has not. I am not familiar with this brand nor any of its devices, so I cannot recommend it. I would continue to recommend Current Body Series 2 since they at least have the Veritace certification to quality check all the wavelengths so you know what you're buying.

    Great video! Thank you Trina. Just found your channel. Have been researching masks and panels for quite awhile. I’ve decided on a mask because I think I can also lay it down on an area of pain such as my knee or elbow, hypothetically. I was just looking at one that Dr. Abs was recommending and it looked quite good, it’s the Stylpro wavelength led face mask. I believe it is new to the market and his interview with the creator states that it is the strongest. It is made in England and not readily available in the U. S. yet but it can be purchased and I believe it is coming to Amazon. I did notice that there were no led’s above the lips though, something I hadn’t thought of before. I don’t smoke but do see some tiny lines, I don’t get fillers and my skin does not like retinols, but I do have nice skin. I noticed the Mayama has the full lip covered. Might be a good option. I don’t see your code to make a purchase to buy it, maybe I missed.

      Everyone is different so there is no way to know what will happen when you use NIR on your skin. I personally have really bad melasma and get regular Cosmelan peels to keep it under control. I have used blue and NIR light for years and years with no issues. I have tested the new Current Body Series 2 LED mask with NIR for about a month now and I have not seen any pigment flare up. But because some people say they do see pigment flare ups, I wanted to mention it in my video. If you are scared to use NIR, then get the Maysama mask and don't use NIR mode. That is the solution I suggested in this video. You will never know for sure unless you test NIR on your own skin. I would try to find someone who saw actual pigment flare up on their skin from NIR and ask them about it - so far I haven't been able to find anyone to tell me about a personal experience.

The light intensity is way too high, even with the eye protection (which does nothing but feel uncomfortable), causing discomfort and even pain in my eyes. It's not safe for me to use, and the customer service has been unhelpful, like they dont want to help me. Returning it will also cost you money! Hi, I’m not sure if you’re gonna see this question but I do have one additional question that I don’t think was covered. And that is do you have any knowledge or understanding of how red light therapy or the different frequencies might impact (positively or negatively) people with deeper skintones?

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  Месяц назад

      I’m not sure but I googled here and here is what it says : “Yes, red light therapy can be used on darker skin tones, but you should consult a dermatologist first:

      * Sensitivity
People with darker skin tones are more sensitive to visible light, like red light, than people with lighter skin tones. This can lead to hyperpigmentation, and the dark spots can be more intense and long-lasting.

      * Research
The long-term effects of red light therapy on darker skin tones are unknown, and more research is needed.

      * Safety
Red light therapy is generally safe for all skin tones, but people with sensitive skin or a history of photosensitivity should consult a dermatologist first.”

      I recommend looking at each brand’s FAQs or asking their customer service directly to see what they say about each specific mask. I think going straight to the source is the best thing for you to do.

      Not that I know of. When you’re using red and near infrared light, you’re stimulating new collagen and elastin production, which decreases significantly as we age, so you need to keep stimulating new collagen and elastin so I can’t imagine you would reach some kind of plateau because you’re always depleting collagen and elastin.

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  2 месяца назад +2

      Many people have been commenting this lately, but I have been using blue light for years and years and years with my melasma, and I’ve never seen it flare my pigment. I thought it was NIR that was a culprit, which also doesn’t flare my pigment. I think it’s on an individual basis and there isn’t a blanket statement for everyone. Everyone seems to be very different related to this topic. I swear by using blue light to keep my acne at bay and have never seen pigment flare from it over the years.

    I’m 65 and generally my skin is very good for my age. I’ve always taken care of my skin but neglected my neck so with age this has become a problem for me. My problem is a saggy crepy neck and I have started to get jowls. I was ready to purchase the current body series 2 because of the chin coverage and also buy the neck and décolletage to address my neck concerns. Now I’m confused as the Current Body has a lot of good recommendations and features in lots of magazine top picks and the maysama mask is newer and so less reviews and recommendations. I’m not sure about the pulsing lights as this is new and haven’t seen dermatologist reviews of this feature. I am now thinking of going with the Current Body series 2 mask as it’s been very well reviewed and going for the Maysama neck, chin and décolletage as I think it may work better for my neck and crepy skin as it has more lights. It would also give me the opportunity to try the pulsing lights to see if it’s more effective. Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated 😊

    • @beautybeyond40

      That is a new trend I've been seeing people comment about. I have never had any issues with blue light over the many many years I've been using it - and I have really persistent hyperpigmentation and melasma. It feels like people just start believing what they see online and start saying it too without testing it? I asked Facebook community about pigment flareups and I got zero responses from over 30,000 people so my advice would be to do what works for you. Blue and NIR and red all work for me - they help my pigment, so that's what I'm doing moving forward unless my latest NIR test shows any pigment flareups, which it has not yet in almost 3 weeks of almost daily use. People can talk about anything they want, but I always find the best thing to do is test it out myself.

    I’ve been thinking about what new device to treat myself to on Black Friday. The Nira Pro or a red light mask. I have been using a red light panel for years and am not sure whether to try one of the masks you have talked about or get the Nira which is a different technology. I love my red light and don’t know if using a mask would be even more effective than a panel. Do you think a mask is better than a panel? I use my panel almost everyday for ten minutes 😊and put a green tea toner and the original Maysama serum on my skin for 20 minutes before using it.

    • @beautybeyond40
      @beautybeyond40  2 месяца назад +3

      Hi. I know it is a tough choice. No I don’t think a panel is more or less better than a mask. If you’re consistent using it, I’m sure it works great. I like that with a panel, you can get extra benefits on potentially your hairline and your neck and chest, depending on how you’re sitting in front of it. I like to use a mask because I’m too impatient to sit in front of a panel. I think you should go for the NIRA Pro and just use it on areas you want to target the most, and track your results. If it doesn’t work for you within 90 days, you can return it and get something else.
