This reaction, at least partially, is because she is crying on Tik Tok. It is just an ugly scene and Tik Tok comes with lots of baggage. If she was writing a song or a movie about it, the story might have been different. Good video btw!
actually, you’re still missing the point. people have had no time to do anything because of having to work at jobs far away since forever. has nothing to do with generation. back in the day if anybody had cried like this they would’ve been criticised too. that person did do it bitterly but that’s because they had to do it since long too and they didn’t cry about it on the internet because guess what everybody goes through this when they’re first employed. unless they are born rich etc. then again everyone here is missing the point we live in 21st century there are remote work opportunities as well.
I beg to disagree, depending on the country youre in, commuting a long time to work isn’t normal. I’m from California and was pretty used to commuting at least 20 minutes to my college and as I look for internships, I’ve made peace with the idea of commuting for 45+ minutes. Conversely, I have friends who live in Europe who take a 20 minute train ride at most to work, or walk everywhere they need to go. And i know that the US and EU are vastly different places, but my point is that things don’t have to be this way. Housing shouldn’t be so expensive that you need to commute an hour to work, remote options shouldn’t be so scarce that it’s a lottery to get, and work shouldn’t drain you to the point where you don’t have time to be human at the end of the day.
The response was way too much. It will however hopefully spark change in this young lady. Lots of us feel her pain but airing out your dirty laundry crying on the internet is not the way to make change or too improve your situation. Massive L from both parties. Great vid hope your channel grows!
Glad you liked it! Yeah, that’s one thing I didn’t address in the video because it felt like I couldn’t do it justice in this kind of length/format. However, I do think the general tendency towards putting more and more of our lives online can be pretty bad in many respects. Good point there, I hope I can address it properly in a future video!

I think that’s true. We have more respect for different types of media, even if the sentiment being expressed is exactly the same.
Glad you liked it!

I agree it’s been a problem for a long time. To me, that’s all the more reason to find a way to fix it.
Thanks for the comment!

Are you a lazy gen-z scumbag who pays too much for rent too far from a job that doesn’t pay you enough? Let me know in the comments!
