The rightful Queen of England. Her father was once the heir to the throne. Her mother was the richest heiress in the land. Her paternal grandfather was the Lord Protector and another heir to the throne (by agreement with Henry VI). Her maternal grandfather was the most powerful noble in the kingdom. The Tudors were upstarts - Welsh servants to the dowager queen, Catherine of Valois. Henry VII's father was probably not even a Tudor by heritage but a bastard spawn of Edmund, Duke of Somerset. Henry VII's only claim to the throne was through a bastard lineage of John of Gaunt, and these were barred from the throne by their half-sibling, Henry IV. Henry's wife, Elizabeth of York, was the product of an illegitimate marriage, so her descent from King Edward IV was also suspect. To diminish Margaret Pole's royal and noble heritage, Henry VII married her to a low-ranking retainer of his, who was related to his mother's family.

She was my 18th Great Grandmother…she had a great (or great great) grandson though her daughter Ursula who got a land grant (just before The Protectorate/Oliver Cromwell) and came to tidewater Virginia…and here we are. She had thousand (perhaps tens or thousands) of direct ancestors…and Henry VIII had none. So who won in the end?

    Such a tragic story.

Margaret Pole is my 14th great grandmother. I had no idea until recently.

She’s my 18th. I didn’t learn until recently when I did a DNA testing/family tree online (via Ursula-her only living daughter and then her daughter Dorothy). I took white roses and laid them at St. Peter Ad Vincula in 2018.

Every video i go to there is a person claiming Margaret being her 12th or 17th Grandmother.
I'm jealous of people who can trace their ancestry. I cant since i was given away without a thought.

To many adverts and having to stop them was too difficult.

@@TudorsDynasty yes, apologies for being so grumpy but I wanted just to listen, I really don’t mind adverts because everything has to be paid for, however RUclips sets it up so that you have to press ‘skip’ otherwise you may end up with ad after ad and it was hard for me to keep on doing this.

My g! od! I wanted to listen, but this woman presses down on her vocal cords so much. Why do women try to sound like men?! They want to be men, and they hate men! I know her vocal folds are not injured because suddenly she speaks clearly and in a woman's "register". I had to turn this off. Be a woman!

What a weird comment. I don't find her voice stressed or intentionally deep. Sounds like her baseline to me with occasional breaks that are higher but absolutely not to the point that I can't listen to her.

@@mycatsnameiskaren8253 Honey, you are an idiot. You don't know anything about the voice or the vocal folds. Her "baseline"? Go ahead and enjoy her; I imagine that to you she does sound fine. She hurts my ears. And, I imagine you DO have a cat.
