During the 500 mile break-in, do you recommend driving the car in "Drive" mode where the clutch changes automatically or do you recommend using the "manual" clutch mode? And what is/are the reason for such a mode selection?
I bet your excited about getting it broke in.. Do you plan on tracking the car after you hit the 1500 mile mark? When I get my car I will change my oil at 500 miles. I know it say you can wait till 7500 miles.
I plan on tracking it for sure! Just not sure when due to Covid. New baby at home so we are being extra cautious! But I can't wait to do it. And I am with you, I am doing my oil change at 1000 even though it says 7500.
GM is saying you don't need to "officially" change it til 7500 miles, even from the break in period. However, many hard core mechanics say they think 500, 1000 or 1500 miles is your best bet. It isn't expensive and if anything may help you sleep better. I plan to at 1000 miles.
@@FullThrottleDrive Thank you for your reply. In Canada we get two free oil changes with the C8. The C7's you used to get 4 free oil changes. I always think its best to dump the break in oil to get rid of any small metal filings.
ChevyDude says it is OK to change the oil at 500 miles but do not use your free GM oil changes for this. AT the free oil change you will also get the dual-clutch filter changed free as well. So out of pocket pay for oil change at 500 plus miles if you want it changed. My new C6 oil was changed was done at 1000 mi., 2000 mi. and 6000 miles. My C7 was done at 500 mi., 3500 mi., 6500 mi. and every 3000 mi. or once a year. Also, change the differential fluid from time to time.
I like how I can like the video even before watching it because I already know it is going to be good. (:
What an awesome comment, thank you!
Enjoyed video! Congrats on new baby & car too!

Speechless!
Good video. Take it to the track!
So does the oil have to be changed after the break in of the C8? I hear conflicting reports on that.

Parham OBriant good to know. Thank you.
I was told after 1,500miles by the dealer, I can go full throttle , that's the break in point
SEND IT!
YESSSS!!!
Use the launch control to get the correct 0-60
So, if you know what I mean, did your toes curl too? You know... Like way back when it was your very first time. LoL!
Put in track add launch control....lower times
So many nitrous, ehhaust, headers, twin turbo builds..now "my first full throttle "
Show the dash and road. You aren’t that interesting to stare at.
