Hello Mike...! Thank You for this video...! Just found it... I have used Clark Bremers: "TF Rubies for many years"... and also syncronized with nearly all of his shorcuts... I have a list of Sketchup and Plugin shortcuts... Since Paste = Ctrl+V I will now ad a shortcut for this useful tip: paste in place = Ctrl+W Done...! Don't forget about View > Component Edit > Hide rest of model
Works great for hiding unwanted geometry like you wanted.
