if you look at 1:18 on the time line you will see file type ADM. I believe that if you click on the option you will see GPX as an alternative file type. I think you can import Lowrance waypoints that have been converted to GPX. This could be helpful for people that are converting from Lowrance to Garmin. Im not so worried about waypoints... my recorded tracks?quickdraw contours/depth charts are more important than anything... literal days weeks and months and years worth of mapping which we all know are sooooo much more accurate than the stock garmin maps.... when doing this method, is the quickdraw contour maps transferred also?
I assume if you have 2 identical waypoints 1 being on the unit and 1 being on the card it would either over write it or not write it at all. Either way that waypoint will make it onto the unit. Merge from card just won’t delete Waypoints that are on the unit.

It won’t work for screenshots, as those are stored to the card that is in the unit at the time the screenshot is taken. This will only transfer the user data. But it will work on 93 +’s and similar units for the waypoints and user data

Your user data sharing is probably off on one or both of the units or they Need updated. I made a video on how to solve that if you look back through my videos. I believe I lacked it as “waypoints not sharing” something along those lines.
@@MGMarineTech I think the 10 inch screen needs to be updated cause data sharing is on. Am I able to share waypoints in real time with the network cable connected to both or what???

Hi iv tried that 4 times with no joy. When I put an empty sd card in it does not give any of the options to save to card. It only gives the option to save to card when insert my garmin fishing chart card. Can you help please.

You could upload them all to google earth and manage them that way

Yes as long as you get the file format into “.gpx” you are good to go.
There are several converters online as well

I don’t believe so.
You can check by putting the card into a PC and then seeing if that folder got brought over.
Can you transfer the whole mapping to another unit that might not have only came with coastal maps.
Only with a mapping card.
Question- if you select “merge from card”, will the unit overwrite identical points that are stored in both units?

No they will not, you will have to network them. I have a video covering that topic that is very simple to follow

I got a new 126sv at the console and I have a network cable running to the 106 previous model at the bow. But.. the waypoints are not sharing. ??

You have to have the right format for the garmin to read them.

They won’t read cards over 32gb

I just put the rubber caps on.

Or reformat the existing card to fat32
@@MGMarineTech it's a brand new card out the packet.will try and format it but I'm not very keyed up with these things
