    You gave the most thorough directions on how to, not only make a pot roast, but also on how to use the pressure cooker function of the ninja foodi that I've seen! I truly appreciate that! Thanks so much for sharing😊❤

    My husband purchased a Ninja Foodi for us the other day and I have been apprehensive to use it. I just didn't know where to start. It seemed overwhelming. Plus I've never cooked with a pressure cooker before. One of our favorite meals is pot roast, so I thought I'd do a video search of pot roast in the Foodi. I'm SO glad your video was the first one that popped up! Watching you do this - and listening to your explanations -- makes the Foodi make sense to me now. Cooking pot = dutch oven; saute/sear = like using a skillet on the stovetop. I get it now! I am in the process right now of doing my pot roast in the Foodi. I'll let you know how it turns out. Please do lots more simple recipes like this with the Foodi. The recipes provided with the Foodi are either so complicated or made with food we just don't or can't eat. Thank you again so much!

      Thank you Valerie for the very nice comment. Sometimes I wonder is anybody out there watching???? Lol For you to take time to write to me really means a lot. My son got me The Ninja foodi as a gift. I did not want another gadget, but he said this will be good for your channel. Once I learned how to use it... and yes I felt the same as you, I really loved it. It's all about the time that you save when it comes to roast beef. It normaly takes forever to cook roast beef. The ninja foodi cooks everything so quickly. I have made barbecue beef ribs in the ninja. And once again, I was amazed at how quickly I was able to make them. With the barbecue beef ribs, I was able to use the pressure cooker as well as the air fryer to make them.. They come out great.

      Hi Valerie, I'm glad the pot roast came out good for you. Sometimes these gadgets have so many buttons it can be a little intimidating. I'm glad I could help explain it. Now, I love my ninja. Thank you to my son for pushing it on me. Lol

    I’ll be honest, I don’t really like the amateur cooking videos cause they’ve never been helpful. But tonight I was finally going to use the pressure cooker on my ninja for pot roast and I checked out a few videos and yours was the absolute best video as far as instructional. Thanks for taking it step by step. I subscribed to your channel which I never would have thought I’d do. So thanks and well done! You rock!

Basically I didn't have a choice. lol The whole taking out the instructions, and learning it...ugh! lol But I did learn how to use it ..and now I love my Ninja. I really appreciate you telling me that I was clear in my instructions. Thank you so much!

    • @RosieCooks
      @RosieCooks  Год назад +1

      Definitely don't double the time. I haven't made that big of a roast, but I would say just follow this recipe to play it safe. If it's not cooked the way you want, you can always cook it longer. I'd love to know how it turns out for you. Good luck!

    • @RosieCooks
      @RosieCooks  3 года назад +1

      So, I have a question. Have you made stew with celery? This was only my 3rd time using the NF. I heard that the celery might over cook. Does it?

    • @arlivialee635

      Hi Friend, When I seared the meat I did not cover it. I did not use any of the lids. I simply browned the meat. Once I added the water, all the vegetables and other ingredients. That is when I put on the pressure cooker lid. I hope this helps.
