Love this video! I always feel down when I think about how my own space is so messy and why I can't keep it consistently organized and clean like I see online or how my friends do. But seeing your video was a good reminder that everyone has those stages and we often only see the final stage once all the work is done. You got me motivated, thank you!
Your content is religiously soothing and comforting. I'm always so intrigued and appreciative of the way you decide to come at your tasks. When I think I know how you'll solve a problem, here you are with a new resolution and item to use - for life and house cleaning. Thank you for sharing! I hope you continue to be gentle with yourself in everything, it's wonderful and inspiring to see. 💛
wish i could come clean it for u 💕 homes are meant to be lived in, so theyre gonna get messy sometimes. i know it still feels overwhelming; just remind yourself as often as you can that youre doing your best and that perfectionism isnt realistic.
Girl, 11:15 is TOO REAL! I've been in my space for nearly 3 years and i STILL have things in boxes that I haven't unpacked because there's just nowhere for them to go 😢 just a constant reminder that I have way to many things I clearly don't need. Ive given myself till the end of December to go through them and figure out where they go or else they're getting donated sight unseen. Always appreciate these videos as a reminder that executive disfunction is a thing!
i’ve come to terms with when we have ADHD, owning a few too many things kinda comes with the territory😅. As long as you check in every now & then to make sure its not crippling, its manageable and sometimes even enjoyable. youve done just that by coming up with a really good plan and im sure youll see it thru! 💕
Hey! A little tip I use for cleaning really dirty pots and pans. I let them sit in the sink with hot water running through them while i clean other suff (just as plates and glasses), that way the food gets to soften and is waaay easier to get it off and it doesn't involve too much scrubbing. Hope it helps!
the ones with food were non-stick so the food wasnt stuck on at all, it actually rinsed right out with water. the discoloration on the bottoms and inside though that i had to scrub were scorch marks from heat so there wasnt any debris to soften but i appreciate the suggestion!
so glad i have two crazy food-obsessed cats so i can’t leave any dirty pots or dishes out unless the cats are locked away 😭really keeps me motivated lol
This is so relaxing and relatable because lately I've been struggling to want to get out of bed and tackle my spare room to declutter and redecorate but I'm still not motivated. Its been a little over a month since my father's services and then I returned home to find my dog of nearly 14 years deceased so my heart is heavy and the silence is indescribable. I'm giving myself time and grace and I hope you do as well A❤. Blessings and Peace All 🙏🏽.
Im so sorry for your loss. Make space for yourself not to be ok, grieve as much and for as long as u need to; your spare room will still be there later 💕
@@abetweene Thank you so much A for your condolences, kind words of encouragement, and your reminder to continue to make space for me💗. Us Gems are usually the voice of reason, support, love, and strength and now it's time to give it to ourselves🦋. Blessings to you and ALL of us whatever we facing🙏🏽.
Hey Ariane! I procrastinate terribly with house cleaning. Vacuuming, scouring the bathroom - especially the toilet, the kitchen floor. Then I feel guilty which makes me feel depressed. I guess I should break down and just get a house cleaner, because having this hanging over me make me feel anxious! Anyway, it's calming to watch you cleaning up, and your floors are beautiful and gleaming. So good for you for tackling difficult chores! 👏👏💖
I don’t know you do it. I too have adhd and sometimes I have just enough energy for hygiene and work. I feel like I live in a state of chaos. I can make sure my dog has a safe place to live no floor clutter but counter tops table tops and furniture. I’m glad my partner does our laundry. I help fold but he does all the other steps.
i show cleaning the towels in this video (at the end) ruclips.net/video/jXOw2iKmccs/видео.htmlsi=6C-1NFzqyDpeSkn1 ill add it to the next video as well 😉
This is so relatable i feel like we could be friends. I bet having someone talk to you while cleaning would make you push through it faster. I really wish i could have my own place one day. Im 25.
youll get there. moving out felt like it would never happen for me, but the universe has a way of timing events in your life that only make sense much later. 💕
Well done you!. I've been in a funk for the last few months as well as trying to recover from a virus and the Adulting button in my bwain has finally switch on. So I've spent this week getting my house into order. Great motivational video, l learnt some new cleaning tips too.
Hello beautiful ❤i feel you ,I've been doing life, adulting and trying to keep it in balance over here lol 😆 i think ill organize this weekend a bit ,I've still got laundry to fold from 3 weeks ago 😮...thank you birthday twin for letting us know "LIFE IS STILL HAPPENING " 😊😊 tfs❤
How are you? Thank you for this honest video. I love that your are real about the challenge to Keep a place clean. Do you mind sharing where the vacuum is from?
I admire your methods of cleaning. Not using harsh chemicals and still being able to clean efficiently is by far the best option. I was going to ask if you were using baking soda or citric acid to clean the bottom of the pots? I bought the coconut husk sponges and citric acid. It worked really well on a rust like stain that was on my kitchen sink when I moved in. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it left. This may sound like an odd question. But in a previous video you used I believe a baking soda and vinegar mix to clean the grout in your bathroom floors. I have or had been using Lysol, yellow sparkling lemon scented, Lysol for years to clean the toilet in my bathroom. There is a yellow stain that I assure you is from that product build-up over the years. Do you think the baking soda vinegar solution can be used on the tile itself, or just vinegar or citric acid to get it clean? I'm just trying to figure out how to remove the build-up. Btw, I sometimes struggle to clean because of moving things from one place to the other, not having the proper storage containers and low energy from health issues. So I try to compartmentalize my cleaning into small increments of time. Over the years this has worked out better for me. If I think of having to clean everything in one day then I'd feel overwhelmed and put it off. I'm only mentioning it so that you won't be too hard on yourself if you have felt that things aren't as organized as you'd like them to be. Or you're still getting settled into your apartment. You've made a lot of improvements since moving in. I applaud you for those things.
I used a stainless steel cleaner for cookware, ive linked it in the description box for u. happy to hear the coconut husk & citric acid are working well for u. for the tiles, I used hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. you can definitely use that one tile too. i’d recommend using a scraper to distinguish if its build-up or if the tile itself is stained. if it’s buildup the abrasiveness of the baking soda will help scrub it off, and if it’s a stain, you’ll know u can just use the solution. maybe soak a rag in it and let it sit there to help lighten. absolutely, I only tackle one thing at a time instead of feeling like i have to clean my entire house in a day because thats most likely never gonna happen lol. Unfortunately, it doesn’t make me feel much better about not being able to accomplish more but I’m working on accepting it. ty ♥️
How is the Floyd bed transformation coming along? Did you paint it ? I think you were going to change the finish on it. I'm still thinking about getting one but not too sure. I love sleeping close to the floor but have heard things about the bed's durability. Always great to have a new vid from you!❤
I recognize myself so much in a lot of what you're saying, like cleaning being a marathon and moving clutter! I've been working on cleaning my apartment for several weekends and have only kept the motivation because of advent coming up! Also, you've mentioned executive function in other videos, what exactly is that?
heavy on the SEVERAL weekends! Lol Ive been trynna reset this apt for over 2 weeks 😅 executive function is all of the mental processes/ skills you use throughout your day to day life. it includes working memory, adaptive thinking, time management, planning, self-control. with adhd theres a difference and/or imbalance in chemicals & neurotransmitters so all areas of the brain arent necessarily able to communicate with one another, essentially effecting all of those cognitive abilities.
I don’t know if it’s true for you but I always find that this is my reality more than usual in winter. I definitely have lower focus, energy, and emotional resilience in the darker colder months. I hope you are practicing compassion for yourself!
I first use an all purpose cleaner (its linked in the description box) then I wipe down a second time with a DIY disinfectant of alcohol water & essential oils
its a huge struggle, but part of the process. im realizing the solution is to just keep shuffling until you find a “home” that works/fits into your habits/movements.
Everyone has those moments and or times when they aren't motivated and that's okay. Just take one day at a time. What did you use to clean the bottom of the stainless steel pot?
Your cleaning videos are always so peaceful and real at the same time. I hope that you are doing well!
