  • Installing the Timney Glock Alpha Competition trigger in the Zev OZ9. The OZ9 has an integrated locking block so the Timney directions will not work. I use this method on standard Glocks as well since I find it easier not having to try to keep the spring down when inserting the locking block.

I copied this exact setup but the trigger fails to break. It’s not a connector bend issue; the trigger bar physically cannot travel far enough to sufficiently depress the sear. The right angle section of the trigger bar bottoms out and hits the frame early, before the cruciform can even contact the sear. The radiused end of the trigger bar towards the rear of the gun doesn’t even touch the connector. What gives?
I tried the Zev connector and 3 different lone wolf connectors. My particular model is the compact

I'm about to do the same thing. I've got a Timney Alpha for the Glock 3-4. I've also got a Johnny Glock Trigger shoe and connector. We'll see what happens.

I have the same set up. Been disappointed with it so far. Trigger safety shoe is catching the frame on reset and been a pita to dial in. Seriously considering trashing it & putting in a Zev or Overwatch kit.

Just wondering if you have the original zev trigger stuck on the frame issue before?

I have a zev as well. Was the trigger you bought the 3-4 gen or 5th gen? Not sure what fits the zev, i don’t own a glock for comparison.

I’m having a problem when installing this trigger. I got the right version (3/4) and completely followed the guide to install it. But the trigger doesn’t work as it should to release the striker. I tried everything I can but still can’t solve it. Do you have any ideas about it?

Do you have another connector you can try? Some connectors break later than other, so your’s might be breaking to late. Or you can try bending the piece of the trigger bar that rides on the sear down a little bit so it engages the sear sooner.

I’m curious if you had any issues seating the timney sear housing into the Zev ejector housing? I tried installing it in my OZ9 Hypercomp but it doesn’t fit all the way in.
