Visiting The Kelpies In Scotland | 30 METRE HIGH Horse Sculptures!

- In this adventure I check out The Kelpies, two 30 metre high horse sculptures located at Helix Park in Falkirk, Scotland! These impressive structures opened in 2013 and were designed by Andy Scott as part of the extension of the Forth and Clyde Canal. Built of structural steel with a stainless steel cladding, The Kelpies are 30 metres high and weigh 300 tonnes each!

So beautiful and graceful! This is why I LOVE channels like this. I get to see the world from my laptop! I can't leave my apartment because my wheelchair won't go through the narrow door....AND there is no ramp for my chair to go down the 8 steps to the door outside.... so Shawn, thank you for taking me out into the world, and seeing things I have never seen, or always wanted to see. I truly appreciate you!
Thank you very much for your kind words. I’m glad you enjoy watching my content!
If you are still In Scotland or coming back there is a place called The Devils Pulpit, it’s a massive ditch in the middle of a Forrest with a river going through the middle of it. It’s absolutely stunning
lockdowns are annoying.
We visited these yesterday along with the Falkirk wheel. We are homeward bound now after a week travelling the NC500. We passed Ben Nevis last Friday travelling up and stopping at Fort William. Amazing scenery. A truly fantastic trip.
Its like finding an Easter egg on a game!

Hi Shawn I've never been to see the Kelpies, but I might go there at Some point.
Úžasný monument, nádherný ve večerních hodinách, když se rozsvítí v duhovych barvách.
“I know the weird and wacky”, sounds like you are like Carpetbagger-but for the UK
Seems like big bob at Towers has some competition.
Would love to see the kelpies

The Kellpies really scare me the story is it pretends to Be nice horse and of u get on it it won't let u get off and it will yeet u into the water
did u get up BEN hope to see u soon
My vlog from Ben Nevis is now on the channel!
The are huge
Yes Exactly where I’ve been and ofc Born in Scotland, Edinburgh 🏴 And it’s there for mostly a reason about mostly a water horse that shape shifts into a let’s say a human or any specific thing that the horse tries to trick you into coming near it and trying to drown you if you touch their sticky body it’s horrible i know it’s just how it mostly is or how the legend is which ofc I felt it was very mean but ofc it’s a legend and exactly ofc not real mostly but ofc idk most about why they did this but I feel this was why so that’s a little story from me to whoever reads this
Thanks for watching!
The next time you visit Scotia Shawn, you might enjoy driving up/down the Electric Brae/s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_Brae Thank you and stay free. R 😎
PS. I believe the *Kelpies* also recognise and honour the sheer power/work achieved via the Clydesdale horses. Beautiful creatures. R
I’d like to give them a go!
@@TheSanbrookeAdventures Don't ground yourself Shaun ... just in case. Bye for now. R ⚡
;)
4th comment?
well fifth I guess

My pronunciation is always awful!
@@TheSanbrookeAdventures
At least ur trying! That’s a good thing! Mine’s bad too lol
Do a video going into chernobyl
Monument to the horse powered heritage? Are you havin a laugh there kelpies not horses mate
I’m going off the official website!
It's cost about 25 to 30 pounds just to get inside them to climb up and down and that's it a lot of money for Fuck all so two adults to go up and down 50 to 60 pounds no way not worth it better going back to Edinburgh Castle mate or Stirling Castle
🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧👍💂
Thanks for sharing!
It's pronounced kel-pies. Not kalpies
My pronunciation is always bad!
i was today years old when i heard about the kelpies - Jo from under-the-rock 🫤
