- So UV or not to UV that’s the question. So in the end we decided to build a new high powered UV Sterilizer into the new Coral Garden Tank. In this video I tell why I need one and issues I had with this and past UV systems I have had.
I love this video so much because you’ve highlighted my biggest issue with this hobby. It’s NOT the chemistry, it’s the equipment. I’m a pretty DIY, hands on gal but I’ve been pushed to my limits with a lot of the gear. It’s like ATARI on AOL dialup 😂 Glad the result is ultimately, after all of your efforts, what you need.
Good choice with the Lifegard aquatics. Uses High Output Watt Amalgam UV bulb and the adjustable 45° intake/outlet is a HUGE convenience… less restricted water flow and enables easy installation which can be positioned multiple ways to fit tight spaces.
I agree, UVs are a pain to install. Thanks for sharing this video.
Awesome job brother.
360 days before the uv bulb needs to be changed as well as the quartz sleeve.
Clean setup!!
for guys with sumps its easier to use these lights otherwise you gonna need a canister filter
I have the same UV on my tank. I found the 2 inch to 3/4 reducer at Home Depot.
Very high tech.....
Hi,
the water of the uv how does the water pass slowly or fast or what type of pump should it be
that isnt the sterilizers fault...
Uv를 설치하는 것은 고통 이지만 이끼가 끼는것은 더한 고통 입니다 당신의 고생이 헛되지 않을 것입니다! 공기가 있으면 호수를 입으로 세게 불어보세요!
Ok first the uv can't be put like that. Straight sideways. Air pockets get trapped in the camber and cuase hot spots. You would have to put that at a angle to get the trapped air out if that's the only place you can put it. If you read the instructions it tells you this.
