Tom, you have taken me back to days on the Kennet doing the same thing, wonderful thank you. Am old enough to remember when passion for angling with Chris Yates and Bob James, great to know there are still one or two places left where peace and tranquility are in abundance
Thank you, Nigel. Sometimes, we are all guilty of taking life too seriously or simply not taking the time to stop, relax, and absorb the simple things in life. It's a wonderful refresh when you do.
Great to see you doing some proper fishing 😂😂 Love it chaps ❤️🎣 By the way, that little chirpy thing at 11:52, is a CETTIS WARBLER. How do I know? Well, we have them around our big gravel pit in Berkshire. After 14yrs of head scratching, my mate skilfully captured the tweet and put it through an app. Hey presto, mystery solved 🤣

Fantastic clip that guys enjoyed every minit...great editing tom also... simple but very effective tactics.
Thanks matey. Was a lovely morning, even if I didn't find a nice chub!
Great change of scenery. Love those misty mornings on the river.
Get on the floating bug lures for chub. Amazing fun when they take…
Yes! I did a bit of that last year, loads of fun.
Cracking watch that was. So peaceful, stalking rivers are, until something huge takes the bait, then all hell breaks loose. Enjoyed that, thanks!!
Thanks mate. Something very special about early morning on a river.
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 Early morning full stop, but yeah, rivers are magical, mist rising, birds singing, and reels screaming. Can't beat it!
Brilliant, takes me back to………times gone by !
Thank you. It was lovely to revisit my childhood fishing.
That 'Shakespeare' bait apron is a blast from the past ... fantastic to see one 😎🎣🎣🌞
They were great, we used to sell loads. Bring 'em back!
Makes me miss living in Hampshire after seeing you fish those rivers!
It's a nice place for a short break away you know...
@@christchurchanglingcentre5428 absolutely and my lad would love to try spinning for mullet too!
That's perfect for youngsters mate.

That's fantastic! I was assuming a warbler of dome description, but I'm not great with birds. So thank you. It really was a noisy little critter!
I have that app .. when I'm fishing I open it and play record . It identifies each individual bird song around you . I🎣🎣
Merlin bird ID .. 😎🎣🌞
That's awesome, thanks guys. I'll grab that app for my next outing.
2:14 You should ask your wife for her stretching and strengthening routine. She spent some serious time on her knees and still had plenty to give.
🤣🤣 you're a wrong 'un
Is this on the free stretch guys?
Yes mate 👍
Muscliffe or longham? Fancy taking my daughter there, see if we can up her pb
@@steveburt1824 muscliffe mate, but either can produce good fish. Muscliffe is a longer stretch, so more swims to chose from.
