I love the background quilting. I made the Red, White & Bloom wall hanging and Candy Cane Lane bench pillow without the background quilting since I’m new to Kimberbell. I’m gifting those first projects so I can remake them with background quilting.

Watch out Marci, you're heading in the rabbit hole ;) You'll love them with the background quilting! Glad to have you joining in the fun!

I love and need your comments about staying neat and organized. I have a small sewing room and I need to take some time to be tidy so I won’t overwhelm myself. Organization has become my goal for this project!

That's an excellent goal. I clean up after every block, but it's easier because everything has a dedicated spot. Hubby enjoys leaving stuff all over the place, but my craft room is all mine ;)

I have a 6x10 hoop for babylock. Can that be used?

Hi Kathy, a 6x10 hoop will work but only if you take out steps 3 & 4 of the quilting design. If you open your Kimberbell quilting design in 6x6, you'll see that it actually measures 6.5 x 6.5. That is because of the placement and tack down stitch of the main fabric (steps 3 & 4) and those are the parts that measure 6.5 x 6.5 which is too large for a 6x10 hoop. If you use software, you can easily delete those 2 steps. Then the design will fit in your 6x10 hoop. You would just tape your fabric down instead of basting it down. There are 2 other options, shown in the first video here: ruclips.net/video/1m2MUWbKKsA/видео.html and those would allow you to double hoop in either your 5x7 hoop or your 6x10 hoop if you prefer or to use the Clear Blue Tiles to double hoop. Either of those 3 options will work for you to use your 6x10 hoop. I hope this helps. I will be going over it in more detail in block 5.

Is it fusible stabilizer or fusible interface. I’m very new and am very confused with all the stabilizer? Thank you. Love all the videos!!

Hi Crafter's Retreat, I always just call it fusible stabilizer. After seeing your question, I Googled the difference and it looks like interfacing is generally to leave in the item whereas stabilizer is generally removed. If you look at the packaging of Kimberbell stabilizer, they are all called stabilizer on the package, even though some are left in. Fusible backing for instance, stays on the back of the fabric that we iron it to. Cut-away stabilizer and tear away stabilizer, we remove the excess, but leave the rest. So I'm sure I'm confusing you even more, but that's what I got when I Googled it ;) I always just call them stabilizers :) They are meant to ward off puckering and give strength to the item we are working on.
