30 years old and this still sounds like the future. CAN YOU FEEL IT!
Indeed.
And Mumble rap is a thing? smh.
Totally agree!!!
It's a journey bro... scary at times, but I'm right here with you... ;)
Yes.
53 year's old and still this music 🎶 moves me...Bring back the 80s and early 90s...please 🥰
Yes. I loved the eighties and early nineties. I especially remember the freestyle music thumping 😮
62 and still grooving along.
Same age and same sensations!!❤👍🏻
It's in progress
Hell yeah,rolling around in a mustang gt 5.0 bumping this shit....im 52
Had me at the first song. 68 and still partying to my house music.
Jesus! Is that how much time has past that today's geezers were yesterday's ravers?! 🤯
@@EspritArkitekt yeah, watch out for us old folks!
@@drs401960 most ravers are in their 40s though, u joined the scene a bit late didn't u? :P lol
Esprit Arkitekt Na, I know some 70s Northern Soul fans in their teens, into early 80s electro funk in their 20s and then Acid house by their 30s their in mid-late 60s now. 65 is the new 40 mate 😃
@@Pulsonar There's also a recent movement of producers and bands that are bringing back the New Wave/Synth pop of the 70's and 80's, they're calling it New Retro Wave. There's some actual talent like "The Midnight, Timecop 1983, Jessie Frye, Nina, Lazerhawk, and tons of other good music being done. These younger generations are trying to save music. Bravo to them.
House Music originated in Chicago, heard all over the world!!
If I could go back just once, it would be to 1988 and Id stay there until 91 then come back. they were four very special years that changed music and clubbing forever. Thanks to the many innovators from Detroit and Chicago
I was 10 years old in 1988 and I've thought this Exact thing many times. 1988-1991 was amazing
(1992 gets an honorable mention)
I was 12 in 88 and could not agree more. I'm a DnB fanatic and we owe it all to this 😎
Memories of driving the streets of Chicago on warm summer nights, with windows down and the sound turned up. I had never heard this kind of music before. Still love it.
English music 🤪
nobody at that time had heard this kind of music before this was the begining were it all started

One of the best era's in electronic music for me
I hope there is somebody listening to this classic house 🏠 music in Sept twenty three, the ultimate foundation of house music 🙏❤️🏴❤️🙏
Yes my brother
'24 still bumping 😎
@@bluejackmedialet there be house 🏠 👍😎👍🏴
I went to a House music party in 89 on the south side. I will never forget. This crowded party had the second floor about to collapse. It was high energy step show sounding from downstairs waiting to get in. The floor was sinking to the beat. The house was physically rocking from the synchronize dance and bodyweight. I didnt stay long i was on the girl prowl.. chitown rocks. On the east coast the house parties in early 80s was kind of uppity scale arm swinging spinning. Chicago was gangster stomping step show rhyrhm.
Forgotten amazing music. The true house classics
Actually it's the roots of modern sound. The 1980s are gone but definitely not forgotten.
I'm a House head through and through. I hit all the spots back in the 80's as a teenager in Chicago! Born and raised! Ironically, I joined the military and went to Germany in 1987 to '89. I was surprised to hear house music but they called it acid. Culturally, you can't compare to house music in Chicago, the atmosphere is like none other. Long live HOUSE!
Yes, we called it Acid House, brought our whistles to the club and made a helluva party! 👍👍👍👍
House music and Wakand shall rule forever
House travelled, it was not always known it travelled.......but here in the North of the UK we Jacked with the best if them, and to me Acid did not arrive until about 88, before that it was just 'House' ................... Jacking
@@heindaddel2531 Richtig. in Belgien sagen wir auch Acid, aber dann zusammen mit New Beat, wie dieser hier. direkt aus dem Herzen von Belgien. ruclips.net/video/qZwIeJjXnVY/видео.html
..oh yeah..they hit it hard in the 80s ..it's still epic..
..I know you heard of the prime intender on diversey..around central..it was an underage club that crushed it..then in 90s they filmed that afterschool can u dance'-b96 show there too..and at what was the name by rush street on chicago ave..and sanctuary too..someone should sponsor an old school throwdown..lol..till the world blow up..
I frequented the Hacienda Club Manchester 1986 - 1989, these were the tunes they were banging out. Straight up genuine old school house on this mix.
We would have danced in the same spot and not known! Big Hacienda head myself
Went from late 88 to spring 89 I'm from Blackburn which went bigger than Manchester but for me by 91 it wasn't the same everyone jumped on it the choons went in a poor direction also plus the gangs on doors..
yes mate 😎
House will NEVER die!

It seems rather techno.

Fast Eddie - Acid Thunder!
Great fantastic track!!!
Started in 89 myself.. thank you Chicago!! For the Jack house coming to the UK 🇬🇧
This really take me back. Being a country boy from the south visiting Chicago during the summer I got turned on to house
FANTASTIC ! I will advise some led zep fans to read you. Guys that never evolve and don't wanna heard nothing except music from the 70's with guitars and re-guitars.
I imagine the great experience!
45 year young & feel so bless to be at the age where I grew up with amazing dance music. ✨💞🎶💃🤜🏽🤛🏾
I was a 13 Year old kid who lived in England in 1985, luckily for me I lived in Nottingham a provincial Midlands City, but a little city that along with Manchester was the 1st place to get the Chicago house thing ( London please do not try to ride this train, you were late catching it for Once) spent all my paper-round money at Arcade records, Oasis records, Rob's record Mart and Selectadisc on imports, good, good times....long live Kool Kat, Graeme Park and a very young Alister Whitehead, that club used to turn a blind eye and let me and a few friends in at a tender age, as we were 'known' in the record shops...........Dirty Jackers the lot of you, and I love you.xx
Whenever I get down and out thinking about the sad state of the music industry today, I remember we still have the music of yesterday and I smile.
you sound like the old folk reacting those mop top beatles...just noise that stuff...not like the good ol days
beat the meatles
tobacco, BMSR, com truise... yeah, today's music is fine.
this wasn't part of the mainstream music industry either. the underground is thriving, if anything. tons of amazing music coming out now if you do a little research. get you started: steven julien/funkineven. apron records out of london. serious business.
very true, bloody hipster crap hyped by marketeers like boomkat who have no street credibility at all whatever they may claim. of course they pretend to have been there but the only place they really are is at the bank counting their money...
I went to high school 1981-85. In Detroit across the river from Chicago. The radio Signals was Stronggg. Chicago House music will never die. Longgg live House. February 2021 Still Listeninggg!!!
My heart belongs to acid 💖 when I first discovered house and techno this is the kinda music that really showed me what I'd been missing my whole life. House nation baby! 💖🔥💖
I recently came upon house and techno and it's like I've heard music for the first time. Everything else I've heard was just sound. Hard to go back to pop/rock/etc. Nothing compares to the journey a house or techno song can take you on.
I was very lucky, I grew up in the late 80s early 90s acidhouses, pre raves, $20 beer till it ran out, walking out when the sun was rising, incredible times. It was amazing what was coming out of Detroit, Europe, UK, Germany. Gotta love when music has a global appeal.
Little Village right here bro,!
Its Jamie Davies I love house music and club music too will you be my RUclips friend please Mike Carter mate?
Beer? Lol
@@rovingenglishman Its Jamie Davies will you be my friend please EakcoTV please mate?
@@rovingenglishman Exactly my thought!
Back in the Early 80's when we used to go roller skating, I used to smack talk the dj's at the rinks til they let me in the booth. Rinks didn't hot mix; well that was til I got up there. We were at Funway in Batavia when a club dj offered me a job at his club. I got to learn from the founders of House that started here in Chicago. Funny thing is I'm a metal head but it's the changes in rhythm and sub harmonies is what hooked me. What surprised me is that quite a few of those guys were also into metal to find different bass lines and samples. We did these mixes all from vinyl, not CD's or computerized samples. I miss those days but Our music has and Will stand the test of time as the best House and Metal of all time! Long Live The 80's!!
Respect🎯👊🏽💯❗
Funway, right on... i think that place may still be there.
Minute 30 is why I have a shit eating grin on my face when I put my earbuds in at the bar to block out the Drake.
And the kids look at the crazy old man in the corner booth.
They have no idea what they're missing.
I'm sitting at work down in TX and you bring up Funway lol that was the place to be!!! good times for certain
give me back my wheels yo' bitch.
I just like to know, who the hell thumbs down this ? These acid track took you to a higher level of existence in the club ,when they came on.
One group could be people who clicked because it says Roland in the thumbnail, and they expected something more like Elton John, who always uses Roland keyboards in his videos.
what happen to this music ? No one can say this is not playable into today's club scene. Old school House music still can blow the doors off today's hip hop.
agreed
bittertruth it's alive and well. it's been years of soft synths keeping it on life support.. but recently a SHITLOAD of affordable analog synthesizers and drum machines have been smeared all over the market. acid's alive ..
PHAEDRIDER its true. ive been amazed at the quality of recent analog synths at affordable price points. altho i HATE the new korg "new acid machines" that are actually digital.
bittertruth Trust its alive man, I gave up raving years back, but begun to go out again, I bought an old skool bucket hat, and put a small smiley badge on it, as a symbol of my roots in raveland.. It goes down well among the younger ravers, as well as the old skool heads. This rave is pretty underground like the old days. I did laugh when one young raver came up to me, thinking it was about a phone emotion symbol, lol, I skooled her on acid house & told her she wouldn't be raving without the scene we grew up on. But most of them know what the yellow face means, Its good to see old heads out too.. But yeah the music is getting more old skool too, Great days again a true flashback to the good times : )
Its not in the Sun or daily mail thats all, like it was back in 88-9, but that made it popular, but yeah its not gone away by far.
DJ Pierre and SpankSpank still tour all over the world as Phutur3. They play live acid house sets at festivals and clubs. Also DJ Pierre plays monthly here in Atlanta where he lives. Look up AFRO ACID and PHUTURE. you'll prob find a tour near you sometime. :)
Born in 82 and only discovered this amazing era of music in the early 2000’s. Better late than never. I could only imagine hearing these tracks on the radio or the club for the first time.
you would remember the 1990-1993 old school rave era though?
🙌 80s baby have the heritage
It was amazing, we would leave the club hit the after hours join bump all morning and leave in sunlight. I could remember walking down the stairs to exit and in the winter you could see the steam coming from the heads of folks in front of you. Good times!
I also discovered this era of music in the early to mid 2000s. So happy I did!
Still holds up to today’s music. No lie.
When music is this good and this original it will always be timelessly magnificent.
Acid house, old skool memory bliss😘
Proper old skool acid house. history. legend. respect.
Chicago, the birthplace of House music. Let there be house. RIP Frankie Knuckles. I think of you when I head up Halsted St.
Remember, in NYC Larry Levan, then influenced Franky, who is from NYC, then rolled the sound heavy in Chicago. So before the birth, it was conceived in NYC..
Yeaaaa nobody seems to agree or care about the NYC argument you are trying to create. You should go build a bunch of tiny, slender, very tall condos for dirty foreign money to park safely, and also, maybe just find a dope from Boston to talk about baseball with. You actually are superior there... though you've slipped the past couple decades. I do not acknowledge the Mets, btw. Fake Team. Cubs won the pennant in '69. Also, your city is smelly. If this Larry Levan is a Jewish fella, I take everything back. Yay Chosen Tribe and Chicago House!@@panama8009
You're not human if you just sit still to this! Great then and even greater now!
House is really a universal language spoken and understood by all...
Hearing these tracks again got me thinkin about how old I am now, but I'm feeling blessed and proud that I can say I've been part of House music and House music been a part of me since the beginning! Long live House music and everyone who still roll's out and dance's till dawn, no matter their age...mad respect ;)

They knew how to put together a good bassline back then.
Wow,this takes me back to the best night's of my life back in 88. It was simple really. All you needed was a strobe light or two and a serious sound system. Oh,and some acid mam. I wish I could go back and do it all again.
You can, you just have to ask your kids where to score, we got orange sunshine gel tab with little righteous gold flecks in it, somewheres by Seattle ,I be 46 and a hefty hideaway model, no heart attack man or whack attacks, I can actually talk to people withowt wanting to choke their heads off. I just started with one the next thing you know I can eat 8 and go to work and the people gave me a fiftyer tip cause it looked so nice. I guess they didn't know I was melting the side walk and their house down with the pressure washer, having a sheet where you can just kick down a three way or four strip or 8 strip to some homies or the kid at Papa Murphys, they're like how much? gratis my friend have a good trip see ya next fall....
Oh My Days! Now this house music takes me right back to Hacienda in Manchester England 1987. Great memories.
This mix is everything.
Ooooooohhhhh!!! Right at the 1710 mark!!! This is stillfire till this day!! Oh the memories back in Humboldt pk field house during the Puerto Rican fest!! I still remeber the tennis court on California ave!!!
Still have lots of this on vinyl. Used to go to NYC clubs and even did a bit of DJ ing myself back in the day. Beats the stuff of today by a long shot.

Still sounds awesome today, not outdated at all.
First track is Adonis - No way back, still remember buying it 😍
Was 'Banging' in the Chi back in the 80's and early 90's. Always reminded me of war drums. Grew out of it but DAMN, was a real primer for romping and stomping. Amazing for dominating those phillies on the dance floor too. Plenty of smiles this way listening to the music that intimately acclimated me with the streets of Chicago.
I have like 80% of these on vinyl! Love this mix
So have I
Just so you know, these mixes have been fueling a lot of art making and resume writing over here. The energy is good!

this mix is a time machine!!
The blend of World Unknown and Dream Girl from 52:10 is unbelievably good. This is why I love mixes so much.
Close your eyes & rock.. nuts. Love it !
Phuture - Acid Tracks, this track always put you in some Trance state
Today we're used to this kind of sound, but at this period it was a mind shock for everyone
I can only imagine what it must have been like hearing these in the years they came out, a lot of these would still hold up if released today
+Kunta Kinte Like David said it was a mind shock. Sounds so fresh and innovative like this never really go out of style. Damn I miss the 80's!
I remember hearing that tune for the first time in '88 - mind shock is an understatement .
Acid tracks - is gonna put you in a trance. Indeed. One of the hardest stings for me is Hula - Hot hands. Pure acid madness. But that can be said of so many of these classics. Interesting music the very least. Left a mark for the rest of the life. As a producer I have come to a conclusion that a good acid sound mixes with everything. You can sneak it in carefully or blow it up, the genre or style is rather irrelevant :)
tienes toda la razón bro
