It's amazing to see the love for this mix. I made this one day in my small room surrounded by stacks of vinyl, just picking out my favourites and mashing them. Would never have guessed it brings joy to 2 million people across the world. Thank you, house heads!
It's a shame when u type in house music that you actually have to type from the 80's and 90's. I'm 43 years old and these young kids don't understand the real meaning of house. House is a feeling inside you that makes sll other problems and worries disappear.....when you hear the music you go to another place... We would dance for hours and no fighting or bull. So I tip my hat to you for making me remember i'm an original House Head ..... My kids 6 and 7 dancing right now !!!! thank you for bringing a smile to my face today!!!!
+Remi Proton Exactly how your parents felt about jazz/Rocknroll! Crazy how every generation has its sound fade out and get absorbed by the next but that's life. As long as somebody feels the music somewhere some time then it is alive. Peace.
+Remi Proton I'm in my early 20s, my old man was a club DJ back in the 80s and taught me how to mix on SL1200's when I was about 14, been mixing ever since. I'm with you, though. Go to 10 clubs on a night out anywhere in the UK, maybe you'll find 3 decent DJs... I've been to clubs in Bristol and one night, I kid you not, an iPod was being used! I'm here enjoying these epic tunes though, modern house doesn't really cut it (though rarely I do find some good new releases) but it's a shame a DJ today can have such a title just by using a sync button.
i'm 55 this year, got all Journeys by DJ series yet cannot find all on-line. Bit like streetsounds. got vinyl will have to teach the digital masters....
I am 48 years old and am from NJ. House music was and still is my favorite. I did so much clubbing from 16 on up to 25. Club Zanzibar in Newark, NJ was my second home and running a close race was Limelight, Palladium, Paradise Garage, Studio 54 and a few more. Nothing like Classic House Music........... Those were the days
The first time I've ever heard of House, it was introduced to me back in September of '87 in fashion by a fellow student in Flushing High School by the name of Will. He was looking sharp and ready to go to the club. Although we were a little too young to be at any club. Before the school went on Christmas break, I had a walkman and was catching the WKRS (Kiss-FM) Lunch time Mix. Listening to a new sound (at the time) it just caught on from there. I didn't dress like Will, but we shared our love for the music. Will, if you are still with us? I want to thank you for getting me in groove with the sounds of the underground form the day. HOUSEHEAD4LIFE!
Darling, I´m 55 years young and I just keep loving this music!! You and me are the best example of the fact that music has no age limit, country where one lives, religion, sex, the way we were brought up and all the trivial things!! We listening and sharing our feelings are the greatest power there is and will be!!!!!!

Hi Sharon. You said you used to rave in the midlands. Does that mean clubs like Shelley's and Entropy (Amnesia House) in Stoke-on-Trent? Stoke was really the beginning of the rave scene in England and people from all over the country came down (Manchester, Crewe, Leeds, Birmingham, and many other places. We still have an old skool rave scene in Stoke every few weeks. Look out for them and come on down! There's still a few hundred at most of the gigs and all the old-days DJ's still play there: Top Buzz, Daz Willet, Groove Rider, Slipmat and some others.
I'm 484 years old and can clearly recall the day when everything wasn't what it is now. Those were the days I cant remember. And I'm not an alcoholic or even an occasional drinker. Never have been. Who dared to give thumb downs to such a great mix? Some individuals of young generation :(( ? 90's was passion, optimism and energy. It always revives my spirit and my mind!!!
Eva Maria Magdolna Hatzegan I'm 15 years old and gave it a thumbs up. 👍 When I'm older I dream of becoming a DJ and bringing back 90s hose music, modernised, but still sounding EXACTLY the same. That's my dream passion
I am glad to hear, I miss the fashion of 90's, those specific hats and large pants for boys, not those funny skinny pants that don't look quite masculine on most of the boys nowadays, not even rockers wear that style much :(( If you want to bring the ambience of 90's back I really encourage you to pass it forward to next generations. C h i l l C r a v e. Yes unfortunately there were some senseless people who also like this music, who always like to pick on the younger the younger generation. I promise I'm not one of them :-).
I still get chills hearing 'voodoo ray' and 'alright'. Being older and not hearing the tunes as much is obvious to me now we hear certain records differently as we add that emotional value to the record.
You can not recreate the vibe of these epic tracks.. the feeling I still get listening to these gives me so much emotion and goosebumps.. I remember being so addicted to tracks back in the day I would ask anyone and everyone for new tracks as if it was heroin. Love love love the old skool. Big love to everyone else on these comments for feeling the same.. one love!
This was our Future Music of Today.. Miss that Times..... Can't Believe that I Survive this Golden Ara of Electronic Dance Music..... This Music should bring us together One day
22 years old listening to this, absolute golden! i dj myself and I have sooooo much respect for these guys doing it back in the day! no sound wave, no digital bpm readings etc just the pure use of you ears!! its amazing! being broke as hell i have no chance in affording vinyl, so to try an re-create what these old boys went through i like to black out my screen on my pc an mix with just my ears! this is so much more enjoyable than mixing looking at sound waves, bpm's or using a sync button! trying to take as much influence as i can from the 90's an put them into my mixes. basically what I'm trying to say is i know a lot of people have forgot about the roots of house but there is a few out there that haven't! so there is still hope!!
man feels like in 1993 all over again...miss those days...I work out to this every nite tho...I'm best shape of my life...wish I was in those days...lol...
52 years young........... STILL FUCKING "AVIN IT LARGE !! big up to all the original cheesy quavers..... u know who u are.... best days of my life..went to so many raves ,some very hazy memories, what a time to be alive, ,,,, nothing comes close to those days back when love was everywhere...........
Where's my frkn time machine??! Ahhh man what a dope mix. Laying here in my bed just playing back all the good, fun memories of a great time in the clubs of NYC... HOUSE MUSIC - ROCKIN ROCKIN MUZIK!!!
these songs take me back to my prime years at the Tunnel, Sound Factory, Red Parrott, and Underground in NYC. This is when House Music was real House. God I miss those times.
Flicking through youtube trying to find old skool mixes and came across this. Seriously good..... BUT then finally heard a track thats eluded me for nearly 30 years. Never new the name of track and had given up tbh. 'Slumberland'.. made my night. Played it about 10 times so far. Thanks 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻.
i'm 52 this year still up to 02.00 this morning listening to Patrick London and Tim Nash from release fm, these tunes remind me of the great nights i had at House of Windsor, the Ministry of sound the Hanover Grand London Fantazia Universe back in 1992 through to 1994 and here i am still hooked on House love it :) your never to old to enjoy great music
You can't beat then days everyone come together it was great. ..Loved it nothing lasts forever too many people got involved and spoiled the vibe completely 88-93 I raved hard and the music ...the jack and kills ...The women everyone it was a pleasure to be part of xx
I’m shocked that at 61im still freestyle Smurfing around the house!! That’s right, big Chinese hat and shoes, beanbag pants and cut up tee!! Jam on my brother you are the reason I’m forever young!!! Housers reunite!!!!
61 too 🙃 and still super free style!!💥Let's get together somewhere wild and rave again..... today's zombies need our fierce energyyyyyyy and creativity 💥💥💥
Oh so many memories of endless dancing in da clubs...Circle, Octagon, Danceteria, Tunnel, Limelight, Red Zone, Sound Factory..and.. Sound Factory Bar, Original Sues Cafe Con Leche, WarZone, Bank...sheesh...golden times..house music all night long!
This was surely an ultimate treat.. only true house heads can get into this shit..im talking dancing for hours at the Garage soaking wet and Everybody was together, Gay, straight, lesbian, midget, wheelchairbound, black, white, Spanish, we bonded through House music.. I enjoyed this collection very much.. don't stop..dont stop.. let's bring house back people
Top mix even though I'm 50 and over .The rave ,acid, house ,and jungle music represents so much of spirit, real unity no hang ups over colour sex or politics in this era. This will be classed as classical music in the future.Definitely changed the world as did Rock and Roll, Reggae, and of course Hip Hop and Rap
The soundtrack of my childhood playground! Ahh, the memories. Music was actually real music back then. I was born in the 80s so naturally I like 80s music, new wave, 80s pop and all that, as well as the early 90s true and proper House music scene. I consider the late 80s and early 90s my childhood playground, when we actually made the effort to make real music and real entertainment. I miss this time, the 80s and early 90s - the time of Jim Henson's Storyteller series, Nervana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, DuckTales and the Saturday Morning ABC bumpers and cartoon lineup, as well as PBS's showing of classic Doctor Who episodes and when the Sci-Fi Channel was just comi on the air for the first time. Back then, it was cheap to entertain the kids and I am so happy and honored that I got the chance to enjoy those times that are, for the most part, two of the most underapreciated decades known. I am an 80s and early 90s child, that was my playground, nostalgia to the 10th power!!
+DarkComet360 I've been trying to find an artists cd from back then i know it was real i dj'd starting in 89'. This was right at 2000 i think but he would say "the freshmaker" i believe it was a clown of some type and it was slower. In the beginning he said "we hear that u are looking for top quality recordings at low prices" I know it sounds crazy but it was a whole cd. Come on u gotta remember it it was real happy and fun?
Can't really add anything to the 1553 comments at the time of writing. Suffice to say, for me, this set perfectly captures the SPIRIT & LOVE of house music. Listening to it made me so happy just now. THANK YOU. God I hope my kids get into this. Anyway, back to listening to it all over again :)
Idk how old they are but I’m 27 and I love house 😂😂nobody I know does though, they like certain songs but you won’t ever find em tranced in the 90s like me 😂😂🤙🏾
@@JustLor7777 Well, it was at the end of those 4 years. 92. I was it Switzerland. Been out for 3 days in Zurich. Snowing. Then three days of Queen videos. 88 to 92. Seemed like a long time then. But then it did end.
Waanzinnig...nog steeds! Ben blij dat ik deze tijden heb meegemaakt. Rave the City, Lucifer, Voltage, Parkzicht, Houtrust Rotonde, Gabberton, Exposure, Rhythm Import, La DS...thanks Statenhal!
geez, this mix is bringing great joy to my heart cuz its taking me back to such a great and unforgettable time in my life and all those Sunday mornings spent at the EndUp in SF... legendary
I'm 54 and remember house when it was still wharehouse..From the clubs in NYC to the dance floors of Fire Island. The beats where infinite and full of spiritual wisdom... Thank you Lord for those wonderful experiences. Greetings from Charlotte, NC (transplanted from NYC). :)
This takes me way back. The music was so true and natural one just couldn't help but dance. The beats would take you over and you would be lost in the sound
Without giving my age away too much, I'm a House Head right from the 80's until now. Unlike me, it never gets old. Nice mix brings back a lot of memories.
THIS. IS. AMAZING. I grew up in a tiny logging town in Northern California. We had a dance club in 95 that was AMAZING and its where I learned to love old school house. LOVE this mix.
im 43 and been listening to tunes like these since i was 13-14 a massive ups to all the Old School House Heads love this mix some great tunes but only crime is no Frankie Knuckles how could you leave out the godfather???
Just in my early 40s now, and yes this brings back a lot of memories of the club scene from 91-95 for me as well... from "all ages" nights to after hours clubs. good times.
Nearly 56 now and thank god for these mixes uploaded on to here. To this day when I am feeling down I retreet to Yuotube and search for those happy, carefree times of back then. Once again I have found them in this mix. Fantastic playlist including some of my favs, like 4 you and alright to name a few. Thanks and god bless all who were lucky enough to experience possibly the best days (mainly nights) this planet has ever had available for the human race to enjoy.
i was first introduced to this style of music in 1992 when i was visiting England, i took a tape back to Ireland and played it to my friends, all being rock fans they all thought it was garbage, shortly afterwards we'd spend every weekened over the next three years raving hard at clubs and festivals, dropping E's, acid and mushies, other than several casualties we'd one hell of a time.
The Cass, DQ's, Hong Kong Cafe, Brandi's, and all the after hours where it was really going on! Class of 86. Lost were backyard flyer parties. Thanks for taking me back!
thanks a lot of tunes remind me of my "trips" to Ibiza back in 90/91 And many raves back in the day..Thanks for the Flashback, Great mix and selection!..Thank you. peace
Once a old skool head always a old skool head loved everything from this time from the tunes to the people that I met along the way... Sitting listening to this mix is bringing back alsorts of memories for me.... Yes and I'd do it all again in a flash
I'm 26, and can relate to looking back 10-12 years ago at raves I used to go to that sound exactly like all the other comments. Either 26 is now considered old, or 46-53 isn't considered old or I've been time traveling in my teens 🤔 Anyway love the mix, it's got me bouncing and bopping, have a great weekend everybody❤️

I am 37 I feel like a kid again! Thanks for posting this!
I LOVE this - it takes me back from the boredom of wife and motherly duties to when I was raving in San Francisco - THANK YOU- rejuvenated.
I grew up with it!???? it's in my blood house music and garage will never die even on vinyl
I still get chills hearing 'voodoo ray' and 'alright'. Being older and not hearing the tunes as much is obvious to me now we hear certain records differently as we add that emotional value to the record.
well said mate
Yeah man,🫖just like tea gets better when yer get emotional
Yorkshire lad , lovely jubbly

Brings me back! Way back to my club days in N.Y.
You can not recreate the vibe of these epic tracks.. the feeling I still get listening to these gives me so much emotion and goosebumps.. I remember being so addicted to tracks back in the day I would ask anyone and everyone for new tracks as if it was heroin. Love love love the old skool. Big love to everyone else on these comments for feeling the same.. one love!
Steve I feel exactly the same, this music gives me always goosebumps and intense emotions. Wouw...what a great time were those days❤️
This was our Future Music of Today..
Miss that Times.....
Can't Believe that I Survive this Golden Ara of Electronic Dance Music.....
This Music should bring us together
One day
22 years old listening to this, absolute golden! i dj myself and I have sooooo much respect for these guys doing it back in the day! no sound wave, no digital bpm readings etc just the pure use of you ears!! its amazing! being broke as hell i have no chance in affording vinyl, so to try an re-create what these old boys went through i like to black out my screen on my pc an mix with just my ears! this is so much more enjoyable than mixing looking at sound waves, bpm's or using a sync button! trying to take as much influence as i can from the 90's an put them into my mixes. basically what I'm trying to say is i know a lot of people have forgot about the roots of house but there is a few out there that haven't! so there is still hope!!
man feels like in 1993 all over again...miss those days...I work out to this every nite tho...I'm best shape of my life...wish I was in those days...lol...
52 years young........... STILL FUCKING "AVIN IT LARGE !! big up to all the original cheesy quavers..... u know who u are.... best days of my life..went to so many raves ,some very hazy memories, what a time to be alive, ,,,, nothing comes close to those days back when love was everywhere...........

these songs take me back to my prime years at the Tunnel, Sound Factory, Red Parrott, and Underground in NYC. This is when House Music was real House. God I miss those times.
Wow , after reading some of the comments, I don’t feel so old 😂🤣😂🤣 Absolutely loved this mix, took me way back, thank you 🙏 56, England , One Love ❤️
Everything that made house music so great.
Thank you.
Voodoo Ray....synth heaven... stilll a boss tune 30 years later 👌🥵👍
I was there in the 90s still pumping dem tunes. Mill
Ahhhh the days when we danced appreciated the tunes and never had phones ....... fun times!!
i'm 52 this year still up to 02.00 this morning listening to Patrick London and Tim Nash from release fm, these tunes remind me of the great nights i had at House of Windsor, the Ministry of sound the Hanover Grand London Fantazia Universe back in 1992 through to 1994 and here i am still hooked on House love it :) your never to old to enjoy great music

You can't beat then days everyone come together it was great. ..Loved it nothing lasts forever too many people got involved and spoiled the vibe completely 88-93 I raved hard and the music ...the jack and kills ...The women everyone it was a pleasure to be part of xx
In 1993 I was about 14 and my school friends tapped into this sweet sweet music.. timeless!!
Like me!!
4th Measure Men "4 you" - what a tune!!! An obscure MK production from 1993. Sleazy gooves!
I’m shocked that at 61im still freestyle Smurfing around the house!! That’s right, big Chinese hat and shoes, beanbag pants and cut up tee!! Jam on my brother you are the reason I’m forever young!!! Housers reunite!!!!

I enjoyed this collection very much.. don't stop..dont stop.. let's bring house back people
Beautiful words!! each of these tunes tells a story for all of us!!
DarkComet360 Awesome. Born in '71, so I know where you're coming from. I think we copped the best music.
DarkComet360 i was born 1981, 34 i know how you feel....although my top 4 bands are the cure, the cure and the cure oh and the cure
+Angus Brown 76' and saw the change.. see the change
Come on u gotta remember it it was real happy and fun?
you'r riche mate there is nothing like home
Instant teleportation back to one of the best era's I have ever had the pleasure to witness. What a perfect mix. Thank you...
Does witnessing from a my Mothers belly and diapers count? :D
i was there also 89 ibiza best days in the history of the humans
one of the best DJ sets I ever heard. & special makes it oldschool, but not simple, very trippy, timeless, true
Idk how old they are but I’m 27 and I love house 😂😂nobody I know does though, they like certain songs but you won’t ever find em tranced in the 90s like me 😂😂🤙🏾
wow... I had a smile on my face beginning to end ... great memories and even greater time for music!!!
Brings me back to my crazy 90's in those famous clubs in Belgium, France, Ibiza.....Thanks Statenhal!!!
Omg Yes Ibiza, Mallorca, The Netherlands, and much more🎉🎵💃🕺🎶🔥🔊🎵🔥
@@JustLor7777 When did Freddy mercury die?
@@ElliotFlowers when I was 25, so 30 years ago, i was 21, when he was diagnosed with aids.

This that Jersey sound in the late 80’s early 90’s. Ain’t nothing like it!!
Awesome mix. I DJ'd in Queens from 89-93 and enjoyed all these tracks. Glad I still got all my vinyl :)
Me too I couldn't part with em
I'm 54 and remember house when it was still wharehouse..From the clubs in NYC to the dance floors of Fire Island. The beats where infinite and full of spiritual wisdom... Thank you Lord for those wonderful experiences. Greetings from Charlotte, NC (transplanted from NYC). :)
The first ~30 minutes of this is taking me back to my little rave and club days in 1993-95. :)
same here Meredith 93-95 were my years too.. Throwing shapes, jaw swinging, the good old days
Which city? I was in San Francisco.
Lovely lovely lovely it was and still is lovely lovely lovely 😊
This takes me way back. The music was so true and natural one just couldn't help but dance. The beats would take you over and you would be lost in the sound
47 years old now, and still coming back to listen to this stuff, epic days getting messy!!
Russell Collins same here mate, 47 and keepin' on!
I fell in love with a log in the nineties.
im 43 and been listening to tunes like these since i was 13-14 a massive ups to all the Old School House Heads love this mix some great tunes but only crime is no Frankie Knuckles how could you leave out the godfather???
A morph with disco, Synth, and EDM. I'm a 1984 baby, so I'm a 2000s dance lover, pre and post. But I never met this.
This is making my morning! I'll be dancing at my desk until it's over. This rocks.
I was doing the same things in the UK to this great music.🥰
Just in my early 40s now, and yes this brings back a lot of memories of the club scene from 91-95 for me as well... from "all ages" nights to after hours clubs.
good times.
And you made it thru...:) Make sure you share this with your kids... its a style that they will never find alone and it will develop their Soul!!!
I'm 54 .. bin clubbing since 89.. this is proper music..
Top house classic man
Best time ever, and trust me I love 1970-80-90-2000. House music has that vibe that comes and trandenscent you to another dimension.

Remember "....... Those days. Den Haag rules anyway Mfer 47 !!!
Awesome mix…House Music All Night Long
Amazed how well this holds up. Many of these songs sound more futuristic than the music coming out now.
I was nowhere near born when house first came out, but my parents played it when I was younger. Now I'm 17 and this is pretty much all I listen to
Nearly 56 now and thank god for these mixes uploaded on to here.
Cant stop playing your superb mixes. From a Dj to Dj u r one of the best mixers
Wow, thank you!
The Cass, DQ's, Hong Kong Cafe, Brandi's, and all the after hours where it was really going on! Class of 86. Lost were backyard flyer parties. Thanks for taking me back!

I'm 26, and can relate to looking back 10-12 years ago at raves I used to go to that sound exactly like all the other comments. Either 26 is now considered old, or 46-53 isn't considered old or I've been time traveling in my teens 🤔
Anyway love the mix, it's got me bouncing and bopping, have a great weekend everybody❤️
