Peragon did a much better job with the ramps of which makes the cover shoot out and suck in when you fold it to the rear. I had a 2020 model and the ramps at the time were flimsy and required constant adjustment. They used little gas struts for the last panels, so they would automatically close flush. Interested design how you now have to pull two knobs. Also after a year water leaked in through each panel joint. They were also $900…now way more. I find the Retrax models are superior. You also cannot utilize the space under where the cover folds into…or it won’t retract
My issue with this type of cover is if you load your bed. I’ve been on countless road trips where my bed is loaded to the top. I would have to unload the bed before I could open the cover. It’s pretty cool if you don’t put too much in there.
It's a trade-off for sure. The cover was designed around the flexibility that comes with the quick-release and maintaining as much usable bed space as possible which means not having a mounted canister that reserves that space for retracting. If that flexibility and bed space are valuable features to you We recommend and adjustable cargo bar to prevent load shift when you don't need to utilize that bed space or a simple cargo hook to pull items forward when you do!
I guess the only downfall would be that in the rare occasion that your truck bed is fully loaded top to bottom and front to back, you wouldn't be able to open the cover because the cover slides open folding inwards so it would be hitting the load in the bed preventing you to open it, then you'd have to slide your load out the back with the bed cover still extended which might be a hassle. Other than that looks like a good cover.
I have this bed cover and you are absolutely right. You don't realize how limiting it is loading when fully loading your truck. To fully load the bed of the truck you have to push stuff in with a pole or boat hook and retrieve it the same way or crawl into the bed of the truck under the cover. It soon becomes a pain in the ass. Also, to open it you have to push down hard on the panel to get it open. Very difficult when you have a tall truck bed and you need to put a glove on when it hot because the metal becomes too hot to tthe touch to push down on. Already going to buy another cover, but one that folds up, not down!
Had the same product. Wasted $1600.00. Color faded in time (Not covered under 5 year warranty) and the leaky water gets worse in time. Now my RC hard cover...good price, but will start leaking some water in time. No fading and still looks new.
Nice, it doesn’t appear to take up near as much room is most guys have the big toolboxes in the bed of the truck! Is this the platinum bed cover or the regular cover!

This is the new Limited HDx design available across several makes and models. It utilizes dual lock rods controlled from the tailgate and eliminates the key lock
Retrax Pro is all I need. 2023 Trail Boss. Satin Steel in color with the black out package. Thing looks sick.
Yeh had one from them with my tacoma, been trying to see if I want a different one now for my tundra instead but loved the peragon!
Very nice. I went with the Retrax Pro mx. I'm 100% thoroughly satisfied!!!
My Retrax pro failed miserably under the weather.
@@QuantumOfSolace1 Oh noooooo! How long ago was that, and how long did it last?
There’s a retractable one on my work truck and it leaks a lot
Just stumbled across this, curious as to how well this has held up for you after a year. And if you replaced it, what was next. Thanks
Mark, your Tundra is awesome.

You have to put the taller things in the rear closest to the tail gate
that trucc is clean 💯

Your experience is not common.
I always have stuff in the back of my truck so the way this opens wouldn't work for me. Looks great tho.

Limited HD
Great video, what trim level is the bed cover ?
Does it stand up to the weather??
Hi my name is Martin I really like this bed cover, can you send the model/item # of this particular style please.
Can you tell me if your cover was the Peragon, classic, platinum or limited version? Thank you
Can you install a a rack over this tuneau?
biggest con is trying to open it if something slides to the back. Have you had this issue?

I want one for my tundra
It’s nice but I don’t like how it takes up bed space. I like my bakflip mx4 better. Color looks awesome on the truck.
Seen this don’t have a key lock. Is this there new locking system?
This is the new Limited HDx design available across several makes and models. It utilizes dual lock rods controlled from the tailgate and eliminates the key lock
Wish they made this for a Gladiator….😢😢😢

Supra!!!!
2023 Honda Civic Type R?🔥🔥🔥
Which finish is this the matt texture or the satin ?
This is the Limited HDx edition in our XRP Matte Black
Can it be closed in any position?
The Limited HDx design is equipped with multi-loc which does allow the cover to be locked in several partially open positions
Where did you get your rims?
Supra ?
If they're marked up that much is probably a risk worth taking.
If things didn't work out you could just flip it and get your money back.
That’s a great point.
i'm so busy shopping for a new car😂😂😂😂😂😂 what a tool
It’s too new for me buddy!!! I like steel!!!!
Retrax is best
Your not suppose to use power tools!!
Gay
Don’t recommend this product
Terrible design
I hope it's not electric 😮
Why don't you begin with the price? This company's prices are ridiculously expensive
Dude has a baby poo colored $80k pickup truck. Clearly his views on good value for money are deviant from the norm.
