- Softube allowed us a sneak peek at their prototype Fader mk II for the very popular Console One DAW controller. Their Console range just keeps getting better and better!

I am currently testing it and will be doing a review on release date.
The fader update is very cool. The haptic feedback is a great addition along with the visual feedback that you get from the added channel screens. Can't wait to update my system!
If there was a jog wheel and record button, this would be fire!
They should make a transport unit to go with these guys with a 5 inch display and controls, and an ai knob
Fader pack look’s good. I Would like to see segmented metering next to the faders imo. I’d appreciate that kinda of instant always on visual feedback.
I cannot believe that every single manufactur mess up the transport bit of the control surfaces. Listen: we don’t need the transport section for scrolling back and forth the time line(we could use the mouse for that), we use it for editing. This is the functions (on close by, dedicated knobs) we need along with a high end jog wheel: Fade in, fade out, trim start, trim end, move and gain. The only surface I’ve tried were this was perfect was Yamaha Nuage. But unfortunately Nuage does not support Apple silicon (what a missed opportunity by Yamaha)
Softube should make a twenty channel version of the Fader.
At least we can connect multiple units 😊
they would expect you to add them together... so it'll be 8, 16, 24 etc... like all other 8 channel fader systems
@@TheSakuraGumiLTD You meant 10, 20, 30 etc...
Love my MKIII and am extremely excited for the fader.
I bought the Yamaha O1X -- think I'll wait a few years to see if this survives!
it's certainly growing up as a system.
We have already seen the console 1 and has barely gone into the fader which people would be wanting to hear about... if there's not much else to it other than the screens, then why is it taking so long to come out?
waiting for september
That's dopAminE!
Are there transport controls on the Fader unit, like there are on the Fader Mk1? Is this still scheduled for a September release?
Am I too old-fashioned for wanting dedicated pan knobs per fader?
I think there's a flip for fader to control pans
looking at 1 inch screen is dumb! why not put a HDMI input on it and then i could use a big monitor for referencing
daws make u do that?
Ummm you ur DAW screen IS that
So the new fader is just the old fader with a screen and haptic feedback?
and software and probably bunch other QoL stuff
nice
Besides FabFilter and UAD, are you going to support any other 3rd-party plug-in companies?
All UAD plugins are not compatible. The system doesn’t not recognize any Neve or SSL eq’s from UAD.
Screens could have been wider 🤓
No automation modes. Damn, thats sad. SSL it is
Price anyone??\
I can't imagine it's significantly cheaper or more expensive than its brother ...
No proper transport control😒
I'm guessing Softube might do a single fader similar to SSL and Presonus.
Yeah, that is indeed a big miss.. unfortunately
@@AxeRocker88 I was thinking the same
Nah, neither product distinguishes itself as a must-have, in my opinion. Put 3 faders and 2 x VUs on the Mklll, and you might get my interest. Softube is just running interference ... lost between pillars and posts.
