The powerful groundstrokes of Seles were too much for Frazier this match, but the next round it would be the complete opposite and it would be the powerful groundstrokes of Hingis being too hard and accurate for Mrs. Monica.
Hingis has never been a problem for Seles in terms of power. Hingis was great because she moved Seles left and right, and Seles after the stabbing was slow and frequently out of shape.
Where did you hear that she was injured ? She breezed through most of her rounds and played at Amelia Island 2 weeks after Lipton - She never mentioned being injured - She was moving just fine in this round
@@jujumusique1305 I did read that after I posted but watching her trot to her chair after blitzing Frasier, I find that hard to believe Considering she lost 6-3,6-1 the week before to Hingis, I doubt she would have won, even without injury
Two great players, Seles and Frazier :)
Yes !
Can we have one of the many competitive, very close matches they played earlier in their careers that often went three sets please?

Monica was injured and shouldn’t have played. She had her worst loss ever against Hingis in the next round. She could not even run.
