Regardless of haircuts, as an FMF corpsman I accompanied the marines into combat. We humped ammo and went everywhere with them. We love our marines and would have not done anything else.

You know what they say. Making your marines sick will always make them stronger.

Geranemo trained his children from young age to jump into ice water .

You don't need training, children naturally love it. It's the nonsense we drill into them about staying warm that ruins them.

You do know that this training is to jump in the water without adjusting to the temperature and just meant to shock their bodies. It’s easy to adjust to the temperature and stay in cold water, but to be warm and suddenly be placed in cold water would put your body into shock.

Millitrix The Army has combat medics, the Marines have Navy Corpsman. Just like a Marine doesn't like to be called a Soldier, your Devil Docs don't like to be called a Medic, Rah? I did Cold weather and Mountain Med in 2010 after 1/5 battalion effects, good stuff, great instructors.

Tye Jones Ah, I see. So the Marines use the Navy for their medical needs, yes?
That's really cool! Sounds fun and interesting, actually! :)

Marines shouldn't need rewarming, girls complain about the cold. Your body will shiver and warm itself up without intervention. Start acting tough like you're paid to.

@@pw1277 A lot better than those girls. And I don't wear warm clothing either, I wear shorts.
Anyway you missed my point, I was talking about after they got out. Nobody can die if they're no longer in the water, they can only get warmer.

@@lambertovitali3152 prolonged exposure to any cold conditions like this can absolutely kill you, irregardless if your in the water or not, and you missed the point of the training, its not to show how tough you are its to show corpsman the effects of it and how to treat it so when it happens for real in the field theyre able to recognise and treat it.

@@lambertovitali3152 and go ahead go find yourself some freezeing conditions like bridgeport in the winter and wear shorts see how long you last, acting tough wont save you from dieing from hypothermia/freezeing to death

@@pw1277 Cold is not something to fear or dislike, it's just a temperature, it's not painful like hitting your thumb with a hammer. Your body copes with different temperatures all by itself. I go swimming in winter (0C water) for 2 hours at a time, yet these Marines can't handle it, they're utterly pathetic. So you shiver hard, so what, it feels great! And you burn 1600 calories an hour while you're doing it.
