    Oh my god! You just made me cry (actually sob) literal tears of joy and nostalgia! I have search periodically over the years for this lost cassette tape from my childhood. I wish I could hug you. Thank you so much for sharing this! 💗

      Same! I gave my tape to my high school best friend when she had her first kid, but over the years I regretted giving it away, missing these songs that ARE my childhood. Bless you, whoever uploaded this

    OMG! I have been looking for this album! I had the cassette tape when I was a kid and played it often! The Disco Mouse song was my favorite, and It's Not Easy from Pete's Dragon is a beautiful and sweet way to end the album, brings tears to my eyes! Thanks, Beetlemuse for uploading!

      You too? Same with me on both counts. It's not easy always brought tears to my eyes later on in life, but I had no idea as to why that was; thought it had more to do with the fact that when I had my first copy of this album, we were living at my Grandma's at the time, which was where I remember first hearing it, and now unfortunately she's no longer with us. I think I wound up with about 3 copies of that album when I was a kid, the one I had when Mom and I lived at Grandma's for about a year, one Dad bought me not knowing I already had one, then another one Grandma bought me not knowing I already had several, but I loved them all, then they all got misplaced and I never could find another after looking years later, but I think it was out of print by then and the internet was just becoming a thing, and I had no idea how to use it then.

      That's ironic, I was actually doing a search for this a couple days ago, and someone's thread on another page popped up trying to find it as well. Apparently this person had this tape as well, and was trying to put together the same compilation in iTunes years ago for a family member of theirs, but just like most of us, that Disco Mouse song was hard to come by. So I was trying to register to point them in the direction of this channel with the hope that they might be still reading that thread sense 2011, but the site I was on has this weird security business to verify I'm not a robot, that seems to expire within seconds of me trying to verify the captcha, so I gave up on it.

    Didn't realise how much I missed this. I could sleep like a baby when this and vol 1 came on. I also had a tape with lots of the same tunes on with a mix of characters on the box. Mogli, lady and the tramp etc. You wouldn't know what it was called please. The case inlet was a creamy yellow. Thanks in advance if you can Helen and little Oliver

    Tigger is one of my favorite disney characters because if you watch Symphony Hour and you look at Mickey jumping up and down it's like Tigger. But if you get the read along of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger Too, at the end of the story is the famous Tigger song. Just listen for it and remember as Tigger says he's the only one.

    I just found this today, after looking for it for years, mostly because of the extended Tigger song ,but I guess I should have known it wasn't the original voice since the other version is on sing along videos, however it's still good to find out that I didn't just imagine it.
    It's amazing what you can find on youtube years later from your childhood

      Really? Would you be able to upload volume 1? I, like several other's have looked for these for years, and none of the compilations Disney has put out this day and age come close to either/or. I bought their 3-volume compilation that was such a big thing back in the 90's, only to find tracks that once had dialogue had it almost completely stripped, and a lot of the older material that I was used to hearing in general was completely reworked, to the point where it just sounded horrible.

    If you listen to the beginning of the theme song of the show Mickey Mouse clubhouse, it sounds like the Disco Mouse song. According to the book with the songs it, it shows a picture of Mickey and Minnie. But most of the songs show the cover from the read alongs. The other one like Disco Mouse that shows a picture is the academy award winning song from So Dear to My Heart.

    Here's another disney fact if you watch the cartoon Donald's Dilemma, and compare it to the beginning song in Pinocchio then it may be different.

  • @anniefinch6843
    @anniefinch6843 2 года назад

    Also an important fact,the films were released in different years. Pinocchio was released in 1940 the same year as Fantasia. Mary Poppins was released in 1964 and was Walt Disney's last movie before his death. Bambi was released in 1942. Robin Hood was released in 1973. The Rescuers was released in 1977. So Dear to my Heart was released in 1948. Peter Pan was released in 1953. But Pete's Dragon was released in the same year as the rescuers. As for Tigger's song it's in the movie the many adventures of winnie the pooh.

  • @anniefinch6843
    @anniefinch6843 2 года назад

    My mother's favorite song on the cassette is a Spoonful of sugar from Mary Poppins. But my favorite disney song on there is You can Fly from Peter pan. The character on the cassette is Tigger from the many adventures of winnie the pooh. But on the first cassette there were songs from Song of The South, The Jungle Book, Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland, Sleeping Beauty, and Lady and the Tramp.

      I ended up with both volumes of this collection, and played them to death. I think I was mostly partial to volume 1 over volume 2 though, and played that to death, until it was so worn out Mom had to cut and splice it back together to get it to halfway work again.

  • @anniefinch6843

    I remember this cassette from when I was a little girl. There's 2 songs from Pinocchio and Mary Poppins. And also on this cassette, there's 3 academy award winning songs. But 2 more things 1. You can see Mickey and Minnie and most of the song Disco Mouse is involved with the kids show Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. 2. At the start of the second song from Mary Poppins, it doesn't start with the word it's. But the interesting thing about this song is it's heard 3 times in the movie. Once in the beginning of the movie and the second time In the movie and finally it's the song that I sing along with. Remember, you can find this song on the Walt Disney and you promo.
