Thank you for this, oh the memories. I played the album back to back when I was little. My parents hated they bought this album for me, oh well I got it on RUclips now. I'm gonna played this non-stop now especially when I visit my parents house. 😆
I had this album when I was a kid. As a teen I put it on cassette tape and drew the picture on it exactly like the record I once owned. Still got the tape lol. Awesomeness to see this on RUclips to listen to it and remember the memories lol.
I remember hearing this song once on a vinyl record in the playroom of the hospital I was in when I was 5 years old. Today is the first I've heard this song since that time back in 1987 and it still sounds the same as the first time I heard it with no memory distortions lol
I had a LP of this...and used to sing along the songs...Still remember the lyrics.. 😀😀 looked it up for my kid now... Wanna give him the golden treasure of smurf music. Thanks for uploading this... 😀😀
Super this cassette! I have this in 33 record. Memories i was just a little boy when i was listening to this...thank you for the memories! My favorite tune is by far the "Sleep Until the Brand New Day" I cry every time i hear it.

I used to have this on compact cassette from polydor records!!!!! This all started in 1976 by Pierre kaartner with t smurfenlied(smurfing song) in Holland!!
I never had this cassette as a kid, but I listen to it now and the songs are REALLY good on here, they are very well written and composed! Glad you like it! :)

Fun note: The track layout is different from the vinyl version. This track sequence has me all disoriented. Follow My Leader, Smurf Squaredance and Smurfin Summertime still slap like crazy.
@ Beatlemuse I have this album on vinyl. I didn't realize that the track listing on the cassette was in a different configuration from that of the LP. Apparently, they had to scramble up the track listing for both sides of the cassette to be equal in length. I believe they also had to do that before mastering the album for 8-track. I know the configuration of the track listing on the LP by heart, because as I said, I have a copy of it on vinyl. Anyway, thanks for uploading this.

Christ, just had a memory of being 5 years old and accidentally drinking mixed orange juice and vodka drinks that were in the fridge. My mom freaked out at my uncle for that. She said I passed out to this album lol sad.

My mom sent me this! My brother and I played it nonstop going from Texas to NJ or Colorado. I suppose it kept us quiet! Such fun memories!
Great memories! I remember one where the smurfs were by a tunnel and had a bit of an echo. This one seems different.

Yes!! I was four and my grandparents dog sparky was an asshole black poodle but he was still my best friend because of this song.
