    If you did United on the 787-10, the economy seat/offering would be miles above the high-dense domestic economy 777.

      Vast majority of United flights on that route use the 757-200, the plane choices in this video definitely advantaged delta who uses mostly uses 767-300er on that route and disadvantaged united.

      How the heck can you claim 9-abreast on a 787 is better than 10-abreast 777? They are about 0.1 to 0.2 " of difference in United fleet. United has the worst seat in the sky, no matter how you chop and dice. 9-abreast on 787 defines the word "densified." People claim United has good seats generally have no idea what they are talking about until they fly the other airlines.

    Its interesting to see the difference between planes AND airlines. Marc in the middle seat of an old 777 with 3-4-3 seating and Nicky in the window seat of a new A330-900 neo 2-4-2 seating is a huge difference. Service on Delta is always good and due to location, what I fly. Great comparison - still feeling bad for Marc - I hate the middle seat.

    I would have done the United flight on the 757-200 and the Delta on the 767-300er as those are what the respective airlines use on most New York to Los Angeles routes, Delta definitely got an advantage with the a330neo which isn’t used on that route too often, with united getting a disadvantage from the densely configured 777, still great video as always though

    The thing about Delta and United is that they are almost always fully booked on these domestic flights. Every time I book American, there's just a ton of empty seats for me to have additional space! But of course, Delta among the 3 has the best on the ground, In-flight and service recovery services.

    Love these videos but they really aren't comparisons since the cabin products are from different eras. You can't compare Delta's brand new A330-900neos to an aged out United 777. I feel like these videos would be more informative if you did head to head comparisons with seats from the same era (e.g. new Delta vs new American vs new United). I'm sure anyone using TPG probably takes aircraft type into account when booking travel anyway!

    • @BaBa-rs2pg
      @BaBa-rs2pg 6 месяцев назад +2

      Why should that be? Airlines sell these seats in old aircraft, so it's only fair that they should be shown as such. If I have the choice, I always choose the airline with the modern cabin product.

    • @jiangni2236
      @jiangni2236 6 месяцев назад +6

      @@BaBa-rs2pg you're missing the point - Delta usually use exclusively a 30+ years old 767 on JFK-LAX, this A330-900neo is a rare seasonal plane repositioning schedule, so it's not really a fair comparison to the usual Delta experience. United uses a mix of ancient 757, high density 772, refurbished 777 and new 787. AA uses the A321T exclusively. Also, I don't think the purchased snack box on Delta is a fair comparison either since it's an extra purchase, not an included service.

    • @Npzsn83
      @Npzsn83 6 месяцев назад +2

      @@jiangni2236 I thought the same thing... Delta's planes are much older than both UA and AA on average. Plus AA sometimes uses a 773 on that route.

    American Airlines gives a complimentary snack box in Basic Economy? Get out! I have never had that choice on American Airlines. They will either give you a cookie or snack mix. Sometimes, they do not offer anything at all and play it off with "Oh, given this is a short flight" or "Due to turbulence and for the safety of our flight attendants..."

    Delta making you pay for a snack box? I have always received free complimentary snacks in Economy. They will also give you a beverage as well.

    On the latter two Airlines American Airlines and United if you own a foreign FFQ like 🇩🇪🇦🇹 Miles and More 🇹🇭 Royal Orchid Plus 🇯🇵 🇰🇷Asiana Club 🇹🇼Infintymileage Star Alliance Gold you actually gain domestic lounge access. In the Case of AA/AS you are going to need the following Oneworld emerald/sapphire Asia Miles🇭🇰 Qantas FFQ🇦🇺 🇯🇵JMB 🇬🇧British airways executive club, which will enable you to use AA Admirals club domestic lounges. In the case of Virgin Atlantic, you might need the flying club to be at Skyteam Elite Plus tier to use a Skyclubs if permitted to do so.

    United and Delta wide bodies vs American narrow isn't a fair comparison now is it:? Why didn't you take the 777?

    I’m sure the United flight would’ve been a different experience if it wasn’t as full or cramped in comparison to the others.

    This is a great comparison. Domestic US airlines need to step it up if they want to win over middle eastern & Asian airlines’ long haul flights. They’re lucky the competition in the US is limited 😅

    AA from DCA direct to LAX - nothing in economy; no TV entertainment, no food.

      It depends on the plane. American Airlines on this had t.v.s on this plane. The last time I had taken American Airlines, I had to use my cell phone and their wifi.

    Pretty sure American has done away with the inflight entertainment screen all together, on the other hand, United is adding them to their entire fleet, and Delta has them on every plane except the 717.
