Looks really good! One observation is that you need to be careful using a metal whisk on a nonstick pan as it scratches it up basly and the fkecks if the Teflon get into the food which is not healthy. If you use a cast iron skillet it will fleck off iron which is fine and healthy.
That is such a Me type dish! I don't generally use alcohols so don't know much about them. Are those small bottles readily available everywhere? and once opened do they go bad and how long will it last?
I get the small bottles in a four pack at the grocery store. I think Walmart has them too. They're typically between $5 and $7 in my area and once they're open they still last for months. It's a way to use decent wine for cooking instead of cooking wine. I get the red wine as well.
@@HealingCottageHomestead Thank you! Next time I run into Walmart I'll check. (Our nearest store is an hour and a half away, so it's ever 2 months or so we go for a ride. Do you have a preferred brand/type you buy? I know NOTHING about alcohols. But like this recipe, I'd like to use the white wine in the sauce, red wine in a tomato sauce and I think a white in canning onion soup?
Yes, I'm using the white wine in canning French onion soup this weekend! I get Pinot grigio or Chardonnay. Sutter Home is typically the brand I get but the others in the four packs are good, too. I hope you love this recipe as much as I do!
Sounds so good 😊
Looking forward to that garlic recipe. I have a ton of last years garlic that I'm going to have to find a use for.
I'll share it next week when I do the next phase!

Thanks for the tip!!

PS I'd be adding mushrooms! Yum.

I knew someone would like that idea! My mother loved mushrooms.
