Man.. takes me back! What great collaboration of musicians. To think Ozzy passed on George Lynch looking for a guitarist after Randy passed. Which I'm a huge fan of Jake E. Lee. A time when musicians still played instruments. There still talent out there, but the music, should say industry, lost its way. Technology has played a big part as well, in shaping where we are today.

Wish I could grow up in the 80s, sucks that most young people can't appreciate good music and blast shit rappers instead of the dokkens, van halens, ratts, Zeppelins, iron maidens etc.

#UpFromTheAshes is the best #Dokken record ever made. This is one of those albums that you listen to from beginning to end. There is not a bad song on this record. Like so many have already said, the #guitarwork on this album is #stunning. The stars aligned for this album and they're never be another Dokken record this good.

(With Aerosmith in '87..., Monsters of rock-'88, with scorpions and great white in '90..., but the best being in a little club in buffalo..."the blind melon"...with trixter… middle of a blinding snowstorm but wow....talk about a great time. they stayed a while hanging out drinkin, signing autographs, and just talking..... best night of the winter of 1991! Still rokken with dokken after all these years!

As a big fan of George Lynch and Dokken (the band)... this is how Dokken should have sounded live; 2 guitarist's that kick @ss!! Don Dokken is an awesome guitar player yet for some reason (hm???) he let George handle it all. Never worked live!! ~ These guys live (in this video) were the bomb!! BRAVO!!

Peter Baltes (bass, Accept), John Norum (guitar, Europe) and Mikkey Dee, who had been in the King Diamond band and stayed at Motorhead for 23 years until Lemmy Kilmister's death and is now on Scorpions!

A TOTALLY underrated album - I bought the cassette the day it came out in 1990. Don't get me wrong - Lynch Mob is good too - but I like Don Dokken's way of making every song on the down beat - just like real life.

Saw them live back in the day in a small club in San Francisco..John Norums solos were incredible. The guy tears it up. His tone and volume blew everyone in the place away. These videos pale in comparison to what they were capable to do live. Don's voice was spot on and he played quite a bit of rhythm guitar.
