Hassan, I am one of your biggest cheerleaders in your debates and discussions with Aamna. But unfortunately this time, this pov of yours in the 'discussion' sounds more from a Ranbeer fanboy perspective than a film critic/critical entertainment journalist😢 Maybe consider an actual review if and when Aamna watches it? She will speak many of our hearts :) Also, thank you for bringing in Usman with his fresh take, only love for him ❤
Agreed!!!
Absolutely! This is not a critique of the movie. It is a Ranbir fanboy p.o.v.
It’s not a review but a discussion
That's ur perspective I liked his review. Ranbir performed extremely well no prb sayin fact
Mr Osman has great sense of humor . He is perfect host along with Hassan bhai . We would love to hear more and more him . Thank u so much for lovely review .
Animal is a fantastic movie if you watch it for entertainment. And for mature audience it doesn’t intrigue misogynistic vibes. Cause, the Alpha Male lead character is portrayed as larger than life but there's no attempt to glorify it.
Does a misogynistic movie deserve a review or discussion ?
No
Hassan what a disappointment you have been in this 'discussion'. You were so rude by interrupting Osman and trying to put words in his mouth. I wanted to hear Osman's perspective more. Hassan, you were too scattered brain in this discussion.
I can not wait to hear Aamna's point of view.
Aamna please share your thoughts.
I usually love all of your content but I cannot wait for Aamna to watch and review it, because this is not it. If the director didn’t glorify him, the two of you sure did.
I liked the first half of the film. It was good. But after he woke up from the coma the movie was a mess. The director didn’t have any grip on the story, so no, the storytelling is not good.
Sure his wife had the upper hand at times. But literally EVERY OTHER women in the film was just sex objects and treated like shit. It’s not misogynist, it’s just really condescending to women. So many good actors are just wasted, because it’s a one man show. Ranbir has all the screen time, so you don’t really get to appreciate anyone else’s acting.
Hugest Thankkkkkkkkkssssss for this review with Osman ❤❤❤❤❤
Shah Rukh Khan is THE LAST OF THE STARS! PERIOD.
Good sensible input from Usman. A good conversation 👍
No ..the story is so awful but yes Ranbir Kapoor acting is good also the songs
sorry to say but for the first time I did not like your take on the movie which is so full of misogyny and mindless glorification of violence of all kinds. #Hasan. it is news to me now that you like alpha male toxicity coming from Bollywood but not your Pakistani drama industry. in simple terms it is hypocrisy. I think you still need to unlearn some stuff.
.. That's because toxic alpha males die in Indian movies. Toxic alpha males of dramas don't die..
@@musicalnote9584 but death alone of such characters doesn't justify the violence. it is about the mindset and social degradation that is perpetrated and justified constantly that there seems to be no redemption through alternative ways. it always has to be in the extreme that is the problem.
No one is glorifying violence it's called animal not hero for a reason
Stupid film. Don’t even close to reality. Being Indian I must say don’t even waste your time and money. I couldn’t even imagine that people go to watch these nonsense movies.i heard on the radio shows here in Canada.
Hassan i am disappointed in you, an ounce of violence in dramas and you go like this is rubbish blah blah which it is but in a movie like animal where voilence against women was at its peak, You are sitting and justifying the character's hideous actions. Go and watch the movie again
The dude literally points a gun at her wife, threatens her and makes her uncomfortable and points a gun at a woman who's about to go in labor. What is wrong with you ???? Bhai hosh mai ajao. Morals should be more than your concern about views.
Im sure if aamna was doing the review with you, she would've disagreed aur aap seedhay hojatay 😂 Im honestly disappointed in your insensitive view about this
Same!
lol wtf you sound so stupid, who justified what here exactly? that guy wife left him in the end, his father whom he is literally killing people for and his wife says his father should have died in that rage against her he goes and picks up the gun he crossed the line there but thats how much the character had become violent in the movie at that stage , there is a reason why she asks for divorce and then leaves him she had enough of it, which means the director is clearly showing it to the people that ranbir has crossed the limit there and at that point nobody should tolerate his behaviour now tell me where is the director justifying violence you psuedo feminist?
U disagreeing with Hassan? Be ready to be blocked 😂😉( pyare Hassan, don’t take it seriously)
Same
Firstly unlike dramas this movie doesn't justify violence. It calls them animal not hero for a reason. Also the violence is 99% against men not woman in the movie. It's men killing and torturing in animal 99% than woman
Hassan I’m extremely disappointed in you defending and fanboying over such a misogynist and offensive piece of crap as this movie. You are entitled to your opinion I’m just genuinely disgusted I’m sorry
1 . Just the fact that he kept pulling on her bra strap although she kept saying stop it hurts! He still went ahead and snapped it so hard that she got wounded! How extremely disrespectful 😮. And so offensive! 2. Bobby’s character completely abusing all 3 of his wives with no regard to their consent or feelings… I could go on and on!!
The way rabbit’s character actually all male characters treated women as their plaything in a sense that she is expected to provide sex to him as his right once he comes home from hard day’s work. Typical cave men behaviour, mother sister are an extension of honor responsibility so are to be “protected “ not allowed to have any agency of their own.
Asking ur wife to disrobe as if she is ur toy that you wana play with to unwind… should I go on
Rabbit is the best actor in India if he wants to do a masala film he should do a movie where violence is a last option of the oppressed when everything else has failed. He deserves good movies
Sorry for typo I meant Ranbir kapoor
No one is glorifying violence it's called animal not hero for a reason
I really wonder what aamna's reaction would be to hassan's review of animal. I bet she would highly disagree with him and rightly so. Being a woman i didn't like the misogynistic male lead and his actions.
@@suryavikramsingh9927 so him shouting, insulting, pushing, scaring his wife is not misogynistic? Great. And then he had the audacity to cheat on her and come back and act as if nothing has happened.
Just the fact that he kept pulling at his wife’s bra strap although she kept saying stop it’s hurting and even then he went ahead and snapped it so hard that she got hurt!!! And like an idiot, the next scene showed how he was putting medicine on her wife’s wound… ridiculous! What am I supposed to take from these two scenes? Just bc he is applying medicine later, it’s cute or hot to hurt your wife like that?? That scene itself honestly triggered me so much!!
@@suryavikramsingh9927now justify rape from this point on why do she need to do it why had to suffer this whole mess for no reason why can't he control his behaviour to even expect a reaction it's like killing someone and expecting them to not feel pain . slapping shouting for things she hadn't started and just correcting that stupidity is now considered equality have you guys ever thought of seeking something called having a brain.being toxic to someone who had been nothing but supportive of you and you are asking she reacted to actions wtf she is supposed to do there dance?the question of morality arises why she had to suffer all this and form your opinion on who is wrong in the equation a person who is starting the fighting or a person who is reacting to wounds which was given for no fault of theirs
I dont understand why it's allowed for someone to tell any story or show anything. Societies don't work on no boundaries. Why don't we draw boundaries on showbiz. These shows, dramas and movies have psychological effects. You shld studies and watch documentaries on how real people hv done worst thing after watching these.
It's criminal. We can't hv a law of jungle for showbiz, 'do whatever u want.'
The worst thing is that it has done so much business that others would likely feel tempted to recreate similar stories for money
It's an A-rated movie meant for adults, and adults have their own brains, we know the difference between right and wrong so if you are getting “influenced” by a psychopath than your pathetic and need help. creators have the right to produce content as they wish. It’s not their problem if your getting influenced by a negative character as an audience, you can express your opinion on whether you liked it or not. This is what defines "fiction," where there are no limits for characters. In reality, such things can’t happen. Also What's wrong about narrating a story of a person who crosses all boundaries for his father and transforms into a psychopath?
@@iman.k8316 I recommend movie "Stalking Laura 1993" to you. It's based on a true story and shows that such characters exist in real...
When two literate individuals sit and review a movie they UNDERSTAND, it's different. Now consider a mass population lead by male dominance with majority of illiterate or unemployed individuals watching it and trying to create the same aura in their own personal lives. When rapes are an all time high, infidelity and domestic MENTAL/physical abuse is also prevalent; this movie can trigger worse things in the society.
You always say in your reviews that everything should be done with responsibility. I say if you CAN do it, doesn't mean you SHOULD. There should be a sense of accountability, money is not everything. The director earlier is on record justifying physical abuse in a relationship as a a form of LOVE. That's the justification all boys need now ;)
The perceptions vary depending on the mindset of the population. Not everyone thinks like you...
I think many women will find it offensive. Pushing Sikh perspective of not shaving pubic hair, bringing Muslim angle, and nudity was cringe worthy. The movie has too much in your face things and violence is outright disgusting.
Why drag religion into it? It's a story. Who shaves what is not an issue.
Review on Animal by not a woman on board? Im not watching this
I’m surprised at this review and Hassan’s perspective… I felt that ranbir was totally glorified throughout the movie.
For me Hassans point of view on this movie is showking😢
How was he glorified? His wife, even his father himself kept telling him to stop throughout. He goes through so much in terms of losing health. He loses his sense of smell & taste, gets a heart transplant. In the end, he's left with absolutely nothing, his father is still going to die. His wife left him. So what is there to be glorified? Every single person I know who watched the movie said they didn't want to be Ranvijay Singh Balbir. They said many times that it's an A rated film. People who get easily triggered shouldn't watch it.
No he was not, 1st the name of movie itself tells that he is an animal
@saranaveed02 his wife has sex with him after he cheats and in the end she stays bcoz of their son. He kills right and left and there is no law and order catching him. The execution was terrible
@@shazhammad4361 you are right. That's exactly what I am saying. He killed so many people, I don't like that character. I would never want to be like him. If people feel inspired to be like him, there is something seriously wrong with them. How can we hold a film responsible entirely for the behavior of the masses? Don't humans have their morals & ethics to live up to? Or are we to assume that now films will teach us how to be well or ill mannered?
Hassan, first of all, your friend is cute.
Violence, misogyny etc need not glorify a character, but if you understand or sympathise with the protagonist, it is problematic. In India, crowds were going ballistic during violent and misogynistic scenes, it is problematic. The success of the movie itself normalises the alpha male. This may not be the intention of the film maker…but people who watch are not discerning enough.
This ^
The filmmaker isn't responsible for the audience's reactions; what's depicted in the movie doesn't glorify anything. If people are hooting, it's not his fault.
imo...it literally is tho he made the film so if ppl are taking something bad* away from it it is his fault
*it is obvious what is being glorified and what isnt
No one is going ballistic. People are enjoying movie. Learn to make diff between reel and real.
I just want Aamna to watch it and review it at this point because Hassan you've disappointed big time. I havent even watched the movie because I would never give my money to something like this but from everything I've heard from other people, Im shocked such a film was even made
I saw the movie weeks ago, I may not agree with the character’s actions but I still did like the movie. That doesn’t mean I support violence, murders etc. the movie was still worth a watch. I understand you’re going by what you’ve heard but really watch it then make your judgement. It’s fine if you dislike it, but don’t let others stop you cause of you heard this and that. But yes it’s your money and time :)
@@seherii I've watched the movie too and I was completely disgusted by the scenes. The character, its actions and then the justifications for his actions are ridiculous. Maybe the way you conceived the story, it's neither the glorification of toxicity nor violence but if you don't know then go and watch the interviews of the director. He is a complete misogynist who has already made movies like Kabir Singh which glorify toxic masculinity. Maybe you don't have that much impact of this movie on your mind because of the stable background that you are coming from but a small child from lower middle class family who isn't really brought up well and sees his mother beaten up daily by his father and then watches this movie, what impact this film would create on his personality and please don't say that the younger generation doesn't follow what they watch. Ofcourse, they do! If you liked this then keep it to yourself. Don't suggest crap movies to others.
No rhyme or reason justifies hitting women. If you start talking about situational factors there won’t be any restrains on violence against women. Not every man has same level of morality or sensibility or sensitivity or intelligence to decide whether this situation demands hitting a women .
Exactly !! Thank you . Who will decide which situation it is justified or not . That will be left upto the whim and wish of the man who can very well be flawed . That’s such a dangerous thing to say and we really shouldn’t go there .
Agreed a 1000%!
when tf did ranbir hit a woman in the movie lol? if anything it was his wife who slapped him
But he does not hit her in the movie.. infact she slaps him. But he does get offended when she says that the father should have died
@@zakiafarheen3006it's heroine who slaps ranbir 2-3 times ranbir does nothing
Point to be noted is that it's a distasteful movie...
Simply Yuck!!
Maula Jutt also had a lot of killing scenes.. Full of violence but what level of fight sequences were recorded.. Not one person had a negative review about it...
I don't even want to watch Animal... Just watched the trailer and a few scenes and disliked it immediately...
If you want to enjoy a piece of art...and still you haven't see..Go watch tripti dimri's movie "Qala". Acting, direction, music.. All are superb. Truely a masterpiece.

Highly disappointed by Hassan’s review and Hassan’s fanboying over Ranbir and forgetting to be a true critic.
Also, Shah Rukh Khan is the last of the stars I disagree with you over Ranbir being a star. He might be a good actor but being a star is more than being an actor, it involves you being the total package. But I always respected your opinion as a critic, but this was just a fan moment and a man being a man.
I totally agree , Ranbir can never be a star like SRK ! SRK is a full package, he is intelligent,he is a great actor and a great human . He respects women , he is an all rounder. I unsubscribed to something haute after listening to Hassan’s reviews. I had been a fan of Hassan and Aamna for years but I cannot convince myself anymore. It shows hasan’s hypocrisy as he hates violence in pak dramas and specially talks about women’s rights and dignity. I am speechless!!
srk is nothing infront of rk
aside from the affects it has on people. This movie was such a weak concept, no level of nuance. Laughable at the least at how stupid this movie was. the stakes for the characters are not strong enough to even give justification to their behaviour. Even conisdering his craziness.
Truly said I don't like animals movie .the actors are one of the best actors.l really like R.K. but the people like me who don't like violence , cheating what ever they don't like animals.every thing is good in this movie but I really don't like this kind of character , Kabir Singh also same to me . I don't like toxic characters .I just say my opinion 🙂🙂🙃
Where you watched the movie? Pakistan me toh release hi nahi ho rahi bollywood movie
@@arhansingh797 because I am not Pakistani
Hasan you always crucify any ounce of violent behavior against women in our dramas and here for a Bollywood film you are going all praises for a violent and crude hero, who actually just needed therapy to get over his “daddy issues” . He actually asks a woman to lick his shoes if she loves him. Whether she does that or not is not a question! The fact that a man can even ask and say it out loud is just beyond pathetic.
A Danish Taimoor gets so much criticism from you lol.
Please don’t be such a hypocrite.
In Pakistani dramas, the female lead faces forceful situations, getting kidnapped by the supposed hero. Eventually, she either falls for him or endures suffering for 29 episodes before finding relief in the last episode. However, it's different here. While there are triggering moments, the character's behavior reflects the harsh reality-why expect a murderer to be kind and respectful to women? The shoe scene highlights Vijay's shallowness and the extremes he's willing to go. In the end, he is left alone.
The movie wouldn't exist if he went to therapy 😂. He's not a wealthy, entitled individual forcing women, as portrayed in Pakistani dramas. Instead, he has trauma and daddy issues, not to justify his actions, which are undoubtedly wrong, but I’m just providing context to his actions.
It is forced in this movie as well, just that, that it is shown in a more romanticized way lol.
@@naimaahmed6000 How lol? Have you even seen the movie, or are you judging it from the clips you saw on instagram lol Vijay was anyways leaving, Geetanjali comes to him and tells him that she left her wedding because they already liked each other before. He didn't kidnap or stalk her, nor did he create drama at her engagement, how it would be done if it were a Pakistani drama that the hero comes and creates chaos on the wedding day.
@@iman.k8316 I have seen the movie!! That’s why I said that they have romanticized it that after a stupid speech Vijay does about the females choosing an Alpha male cause they would hunt and were better protectors, a girl who is educated and wants to purse higher education abroad gets so impressed that she leaves everything and goes to him lol. And when her brother asks them to at least explain their choice/act to the family…they shamelessly in front of the whole family just start kissing. That was their explanation. So they have shown that an alpha male is just so irresistible 😆 Well it may be the case for some women I suppose! Everyone is entitled to their views and liking. Anyways my initial comment was just addressed to Hassan on his review.
Didn't expect Hassan to like it.Even as Indian i was disappointed with the movie not for the critics problem but because in second half it became little boring.Cannot think of watching it again .But stilll good to hear all point of view .
Most interesting thing will be discussion of Hassan with Aamna on this because i am sure Aamna wouldn't like it as much as Hassan did
Without even watching the movie I can bet Aamna would bring up a lot of issues in depth from the movie
I agree. It was a bad movie even if we ignore the violence etc
It dragged a lit, unnecessary violence, stupid storyline
It was good movie.

this was a really good discussion/review, i thought it would be the typical bashing of the film and how the others are reviewing it, but this was great to listen too, could have gone into more details but yeah it was good short discussion you gained a subscriber , wanted to know a pakistani perspective on the movie
Great review! Ranbir Kapoor’s performance is brilliant in this movie. In the end, it is a movie. India makes all types of content. There is no powerful story, but the acting of each actor is highly appreciable. Bobby Deol’s 15-minute performance is mind-blowing as well. Music is as powerful as the movie is. Violence was extreme in the movie and it was not needed.

Highly disappointed with Hassan's review!!!! Such double standards you have!!!!
Absolutely 💯
Worst movie 🤮🤮🤮🤮
I agree with Hasan … this was totally my impression immediately after watching the movie. It leaves an impression, you can agree or disagree with the narrative but you cannot deny the fact that it’s made brilliantly
I think it is the most god awful movie......Hasan should let others give others their views...
Hassan, I think we cannot see a piece of cinema only through its execution in isolation from the story which is the core. Also, like Usman had tried to say mildly, the movie has made great business or watched by millions of common people in India, who have perhaps been impacted by the good execution of a problematic story not in the best of ways. So then, how do we not question the impact of the artist's art (the story) on the common human? (as a critic)
The movie is for adults it got an A certificate and adults have their own brains we know what’s right and what’s wrong if someone is getting “influenced” from a psychopath than their pathetic, and I don’t think one can get influenced because the stuff you do in life and the decisions you take it reflects your education and upbringing not a movie
I've seen the movie Animal, and I'll just say that the performances were quite impressive, especially Ranbir's. Beyond that, I'll refrain from delving into the intricacies of the story, as some viewers have found certain aspects of the plot and its presentation objectionable, and I share those concerns to some extent.
We can’t assume she walked out and left him!!! She got out of the car and walked back to him. Pretty opened ended imo
Please hassan should run fan club for ranbir
I think the slaughtering of people and especially how he killed boby.I can't see it and also the last scene was unbearable.
So we have to not review these kinds of movies because it's not a family movie.
Ranbir was seems to be a physcopath.
So please try to review good movies.
The most toxic movie ever.. vanga is a psychopath who has some daddy issues.
Please watch 12th fail movie Hassan. The best actor of 2023 in india should go to Vikrant Massey! Success of animal was built on hype and PR as well
Animal getting unnecessary criticism.
Gangs of Wasseypur is considered a classic despite all the violence, misogyny and unnecessary communal elements in the movie.
Uhm nowhere in gangs of wasseypur it was shown they were people who were trying to be good or a hero you knew from 1st scene they all are power hungry goons that's what anurag kashyap does which vanga don't have hold on plus anurag stories are way superior
So where in Animal has Ranbir's character been portrayed as the best man in the world?
He is what he is, you are not expected to idolize him.
Also, GoW had a crystal clear plot in which the revenge of Khans against Ramadhir Singh was shown as a noble cause. It was a revenge saga just like Animal is
Yaar you guys are forgetting Ranveer Singh. Unfair to say he is the only one. Ranbir mostly plays manchild roles. But if you see Ranveer’s filmography, not a single character resembles the other.
@hassan @Aamna: Both Animal and Qala have same premise (a child seeking parental affection and validation, and going unhinged in the process) but different treatment (toxic masculinity vs subversive feminism?) by male vs female director. Your review will unpack a lot of dimensions through such comparative approach.
WORST film in the history of INDIAN CINEMA!
Can't believe one of the spoilers convinced me to watch it 😳 Or else I had written it off

Hassan seems very happy ad excited like a baby .. may be he watched a movie on big screen after an ages ..
I haven’t seen the movie yet but this movie has been created in apparently such a way that teenagers I personally know including my cousins are actually saying “o bilkul aese gun fire krni hai” “kia banda hai” “aesa banana hai”
I feel Hassan being an intellectual is able to differentiate good vs bad and you can read into the fine way character has been depicted but the young minds are not able to understand in that way
Movie is A rated.... for adults only..
In all honesty! Ranbir's dialog delivery and acting seemed very OTT to me. Did not resonate with me. Him overexplaining his dialogs over his gauche actions was just cringe
Ghanta bakwas band kar
SRK is last of the stars …stardom ends on him…he has blessed with something magically I guess.. RK is a good actor .. but Shahrukh khan is beyond that…
Sharukh khan as a person is very humble..it’s not because of his acting ( he has more flops than success) but because of his personality and the content of his movies. He is a self-made man no doubt about it . People love him which makes him super star . Ranbir kapoor’s some of his latest movies are not bad ..but he is a nepokid because of that people do not give much credit. More importantly he doesn’t have the charisma Sharukh khan has .
SRK
I 100 % agree, no comparison with SRK!! He is humble, kind, and respects women . His charisma is out of the question and he is way more famous worldwide than RK .
Animal is good watch....acting, music, B,G ... direction was good too.
I think ranbir will be the next Star who can act!! Usman had been a pleasant surprise, keep visiting London Chaudry Saab. Shahrukh khan is arrogant now, that’s why i stoped supporting his movies. I think he is an amazing human being but professionally uss kay sar par charh gayi hai, ranbir has a sense of mystery and i love it, he is coming from kapoors humility and acting is in this DNA. Anyways thankyou for bringing usman, what an eye candy!!! Have an amazing trip, try to go see that street performer who sings desi songs, tell him i love him and his vibe, cancer wont let me travel but you seeing him will go far. Post pix of all the landmarks
lots of love and prayers for you
Animal movie 🎥🍿 A good movie but humaltiy zero, domastic valence and ledies ke sath behav 👎👎👎👎 Allah bachy but family all time love 💕💕
While I agree, any and every story deserves to be told, i dont agree that this particular one was very nicely told. The editing was choppy, the movie was jumping, it felt like the director had some (many) favourite scenes that he couldnt part with but shouldve for the greater cause which was the story being told. As far as Ranbir is concerned, again I agree, you cant tell who the real Ranbir is, but you can tell this is the guy who played Sanju. He's brilliant in so many movies, but this one, in a lot of the sequences, i felt he just wasnt. Anil Kapoor on the other hand was outstanding! Bobby as well. But Ranbir needs to come out Sanju already.
Ranbir kapoor performance was so good ,that you just get carried away ..and get you hooked to the movie!
And between did hum saath saath hain brought any change to society so why we worry about animal promoting violence.
I seriously wish Amna has done this review
I want Aamna to watch it. Women in India have vocally hated this movie.
I am a fan of O(U)sman bhai now (do not know how he spells his name). I have been following your stories on IG and he is hilarious. I vote for him being a permanent guest. Imagine how fun it would be if he watched a roast worthy drama hahaahahah.....I am laughing just imagining that..
Oh we wanted Amna for this topic 😢
Sounds like an Indian Kill Bill ; shall pass 🫣
Osman's got great sense of humour
I was not sure if I wanted to watch it, but after hearing your discussion I want to watch it, I have always been a Ranbir fan. Hasan has been very vocal about him being a feminist so if he says the Alpha male wasn't glorified, then I trust him. Also, good job by Osman👍
Hassan, how can you compare SRK with RK?😮
I’m not liking it. If you have not liked SRK’s few movies that’s your issue. People are loving it.
Please don’t change your love for SRK lol
Shahrukh is not anywhere great to not be compared.

Just saw Animal. One of the worst movies in recent times. How can you say that the protagonist was not glorified. He kills left and right and there is no law. He has sex with a woman to make her fall in love with him and reveal that she was a spy 😮 mtlb k kuch bhi. He could have tortured her to speak up. I am a Ranbir fan but the movie was bad. And what was that gunmachine scene? 😅 the Legend of Maula Jutt had better fight sequences. Pathetic storyline, haphazard scenes, childish dialogues. The reference to anatomical parts was meant to be funny?😮😢 I am surprised you enjoyed it. And the last scene?!?!$%&$ what was that? The villain is so loaded that he can hire thousands of hitmen, live in a castle in Scotland, make a clone of vijay..and he is fighting for his grandfather's share in the company 50 years back 🙄
The movie had a lot of potential with all the loads of talent in it. But I dont think Vanga did justice to the plot. Forget about the mysogyny, but he had the chance to create a layered flawed character whose insecurity and obsessive craving for his father's affection destroys his sense of right and wrong and creates havoc and misery. Vanga could have crafted Ranbir's character in a better way, so that people can sympathise with him but cannot justify his actions. So that people can feel sorry for him without glorifying him. But Vanga failed in doing so, he failed in creating a world where a son's relentless pursuit for validation from his dad and his obsession gets the best of him and turns him into a sociopath with an insatiable bloodlust. This is just my opinion but vanga could have used Ranbir's potential in a better way. The film just sold meaningless violence, when it could have done a lot more. At times it felt Vanga did it deliberately to irk the critics and he did it in such a passive aggressive way. A lot of the audience praised the movie for all the wrong reasons. It felt that Vanga loved Ranvijay's character so much that he made his other characters show the love Vanga had for him through the dialogues, be it through Zoya, be it through his brothers, or be it through the man who sold him the gun machine thing. All of them were so enamoured and in love with such a horrid person for no reason, and applauded the terrible violence ranvijay kept on committing. All this makes a lot of people bound to feel like Sandeep Vanga tried to glorify and justify Ranvijay by showing the influence he had over those people. The film is not well made even if we ignore the mysogyny in it.
Appreciate your mature stance on the movie. Much better than what I've heard from most critics and reviewers.
@@mavragul3046 thanks hehe :)
@@saniyakhan3110 The plot felt paper thin at times and more than half of the film relied merely on shock value. But Ranbir really did hit it out of the park with his epic performance.
Absolutely, especially if you see Vanga's interviews. The character had so much potential. Also, Bobby Deol and Tripti Dimri's acting prowess has been totally wasted. With whatever little screen space Bobby has, at least he has gotten his due credit.
If you notice he brought both the characters straight out of Kabir Singh ranvijay and Kabir is similar and women in his movies don't have a personality at all either ways
Wa Alaikum Salam. Nice to seeing you both. I am following your stories on instagram. Looking forward for this review.
I do agree with Hassan that Ranbir's character is not your hero. Putting his character on a pedestal would be totally wrong. The film has been titled 'Animal' for a reason. If you look at it from that perspective, you understand why he is doing what he is doing, but that doesn't justify his actions or the way he treats his wife in any way. Had a hero spoken those misogynist dialogues about changing pads 4 times a month, I would have been disgusted to the core, as I was in this film as well. However, Ranbir's character is not sound, and doesn't know what's right or wrong (Also reiterated in the lyrics of Pehle Bhi Main "Galat kya sahi kya mujhe na pata". Having said that, I cannot negate the fact that the masses have glorified his character and how negatively that can impact our already misogynist and patriarchal society especially when people were laughing at the sexist jokes. But do I like Animal as a film? I am not sure. There were so many WTF moments too absurd to ignore. Like the whole doppelganger shit and the spy shit and him facing no consequences for his actions. Had they kept certain things close to reality it would have made more sense.
Very good people who know what is art are discussing very genuinely well ❤
Ap ko violence k sath "hero" dekhna ho to Salaar dekhiye...uska violence pasand aya...ranbir ka violence dekh k GHIN ayi...ghaleez tareen
Welcome to Something Haute

Yes true !
Ranbir cheated again and again on his wife . How can she forgive him . His attitude is not justifiable and u guys sound like u are favoring him because Hassan is his biggest fan….😅
Pls don't waste people time by talking here and there ,make short and focus on specific topic pls.thanks
Usman pointed right things for this movie 🎦 Animal really appreciated . It’s feel like Hassan is overwhelming with the movie 🎥 that why he didn’t get the negative vibes of the movie. But that’s completely fine that Hassan ‘s assignments and as a viewer I respect that🫡 .
Usman looks younger than Hasan😊
I am in Birmingham. Will you(Hasan) visit Birmingham?
Bobby Deol ki bat hi nehi ki? He had a strong role
Kaha violence thy yaar ,then you guys haven't seen Hollywood movies. I hv seen it in UK , there's no such violence.
Good job Usman! You deserve extra strawberry tomorrow 😂
as far as i remember he has one younger sister and another one is older. (done choti behen nai hai)
The film checks all the boxes of marketing. Starting from basing a movie on the most overlooked father-son relationship that is the big issue for the people in this region. Not only men empathises with this but the female too, created the hype for the movie. Then Ranbir playing the role who is already known for its playboy image made it more appealing. Then the action sequence, then making a villian seems like a hero, jsutifying his terrible actions by showing he has been going through some thing much bigger in his life since his childhood has made this movie successful. People saying its just a movie and take
The background, the sofa, the cushion lying around, nothing here gives something haute vibes 😊
Too many ads 😬
Thank you Hassan so so so muchhhhhhh ❤❤❤❤❤❤ for doing this review. I'm enjoying Usman's and his sarcastic banter love you guys ❤❤❤❤❤ 😊😊
Hassan bhai R u going to Watch Dunki movie .
Nice to meet you, Usman!
Why the villain need to be a muslim character? 🙄🙄
That's nothing related to muslim as villian there r many movies where Hindus character r villian

Director clarified that after the death of abrar's closed one abrar was in trauma which took away his voice so he changed his religion to get a new life a new purpose this is trend in india people facing trauma or depression goes to different religious gurus to get some spiritual knowledge and get out off that state of mind
bhai aap movie ko movie ki hi tarah dekha kariye
Uper walon ko khush karne keliye😅😅
And why his name was to be Abrar ul Haq
As a women I refuse to watch movies which glorify violence against women. Sandeep Reddy Vanga needs a learn a new definition of masculinity. Filmmakers need to make responsible decisions.
Usman is sooooo good!!! So natural and a great sense of humour.. I am a forever Hassan fan and now I have become Usman's fan also❤❤❤
If you don't have SRK that is your view but you don't have shame SRK
I agree , and specially calling him a SRK fan !! Shows hypocrisy!
