@@ThemeParkWorldwide theme park world wide I have some Alton towers poster that I made like a week ago with some old rides like the flume and Charlie and the chocolate factory the ride and new rides like Alton towers dungeons and wicker man and many others
Great look back, I was 25 in 94, remember all these rides. My children loved the berry bish bash! I still have an entrance ticket from 1988!! My parents took me first in 1970s, all was there was swans and a large merry go round. You visited for the castle and gardens really. Lovely photos 😀
Awwh i love this, I go to alton towers every year with my sister my parents have been taking me since I was born, in 93, and now as theyre older me and my sister continue the tradition of going every single year and we will with our kids 🥰 its so wonderful to look back on old photos, i want to dig mine out now
There's nothing better than reminiscing and talking about old visits to theme parks wirh freinds and family. So many great memories where made in these parks. Awsome idea for a vid Shaun. Your channel is streets ahead of any other theme park channel. Awsome work bruv. Keep it up!👏👏👏
When it's my birthday my mum has a friend who bakes cakes so when it's our birthdays me and my brother get to design our cake. Last year on my 12th birthday I designed a Alton Towers cake and it looked amazing. It had the logo in the middle then all of the 7 main coasters' logos around the side and then also a Wicker Man statue.
Great video, the pictures look great and you look so happy in the park. Sometimes I really would like if I could go back in time and enjoy just the Efteling and don’t worry about anything else. Great to get an insight in your childhood.
Thanks for sharing. I’ve also been looking back and watching some home videos of me and my family at Walt Disney world back when I was 7 and it makes me wish I could go back, hopefully one day I will be able to 😁
I was in my first year of high school on Nemesis opening year for the summer school trip to ATs, we went on Corkscrew first then Nemesis and Thunder Looper. My first roller coaster rides, epic!
I love watching these 😁 I found your channel a couple of years back when I was just browsing alton towers on RUclips, I had booked our 1st short break in splash landings I had always wanted to go as a child but my parents wouldn't drive the 2.5 hours 😂. Now I have my own children I wanted to give them the memories I wish I'd had, we had the best time and have booked every year ever since.
Love TPW’s vids and when I found this one I couldn’t click fast enough. I was born in 91, and we came as a family to Alton Towers every summer, mid 90’s to early 00’s Alton Towers really was just the most magical place to be ❤️
You got me under the stairs to the photo boxes. Our three children are in there mid twenties, will be able to see two of them on MONDAY!! I've kept out loads of photos to share our family attraction moments with them. Will be a little longer for all of us to get together as one lives up country. I cant tell you how much we have missed them. Thanks for sharing :)
This is so good! I’ve got lots of photos of me in some of these exact same spots - I’m only four years older than you but I remember 1994 so strangely well and I remember how terrified of Nemesis I was. The music, the look of it, the rumble as it hurtled around the track, I recall thinking it was going to kill my parents when they went on it and crying while my brother stayed with me so my parents could ride! They are the ones who got me obsessed with Alton Towers!
Amazing video, I love looking back at old photos. I still have the onride photo from my first ever coaster ride, which was at Legoland Germany. My mom bought it for me and it's such a wonderful memory still. Can't wait for more videos from you to see more of the awesome fashion back then 😉
A big memory for me and the thing I miss most about Alton Towers is the theming of the ride Air. The music for Air in the queue brings back so many memories! I wish they’d bring it back 😩🤪
Great video amazing memories for you, and such a fun video to watch. It won't be long until Alton towers reopens with social distance ect, as we ease out of lockdown slowly. Probably looking at the middle of july for phase 3 of cinema's theme park's pubs reopening.
Shawn, I loved this, but going back to 94, makes me feel so old. I have a son that was born in 93! I’m 46 and remember my parents taking me to what is now Pleasurewood Hills. The rides were pretty much non existent apart from my memories of doing a drop slide (loved it). Honestly can’t remember much else. I have a photo somewhere It’s amazing to see how much things have come on. From an old gits point of View, well done young man. What a great hobby you have! Keep em coming........👍🏻
Those were some neat pictures. It’s so interesting how a park can change so much within a few years. I’ve never been to Alton Towers since I live in America, but I did end up going to Six Flags Over Georgia quite a bit when I was growing up. I remember riding the Dahlonega Minetrain a lot, which is the coaster they got me into coasters. It too, has changed a lot since I first started going there.
Places to visit were so much more special back in the day. There was no RUclips and you couldn’t consume content the way we do now. All you had were a few pictures and memories from your past experience. I still remember queuing up for the monorail watching those 90s TVs playing videos of Nemesis and Oblivion being all excited to see them again with my own eyes. Miss those days
Aww. How lovely of you to share those memories. I love looking at old photos. It’s interesting to see how much the park has changed over time. I remember the Squirrel Nutkin ride going by and those yellow rafts on the rapids.
Hello Shawn, It was good to see you take a look back at your memories and have a chance to reminisce all about your old and fond memories that you had at Alton Towers. It's a great video throughout and I truly enjoyed it throughout. Take care. Cheers Peter :)

I've got tons from drayton manor, and it's not even my home park, I went to thomas land ALOT and I used by basically EVERY ride photos, I have a photo of me on my first roller coaster aswell!
Wow, thanks for this trip down memory lane! I started going in about 1985 (yeah I'm that old 🤣🤣) and it was such a different atmosphere then. You could pet animals at the farm, go to indoor shows such as the ice show and dancing fountains, and there were live shows all round the park. The mississippi show boat had a live band playing, there were parades going around the park and, of course, Henry and Henrietta Hound the alton Towers mascots. Those were the days when they really cared about customer experience rather than just rides and money. I even met Kylie Minogue when she opened the Mouse ride! I still take my kids there but it makes me sad that they don't get the same experience that I used to get.
As soon as this video finished I had to go through all my old photos of me and my family at Disneyland. And I swear I had the same yellow, blue, green, and red jacket when I was a kid!

That first picture is so cute! 😆 it would be really cool if you went around the park when operations return to normal and try to recreate some of these pictures!
3:00 I remember going into the playground area in Alton Towers back in 2000, I was 5 then. As I wasn't so sure about theme parks at the time, that was the only part of Alton Towers I actually enjoyed. I can't it's been 20 years since my first ever visit to Alton Towers.

I have a picture of me and my sister when she was a baby, sitting by the lake where the swans were with the monorail in the background. That would have been around 1985 give or take a year. There's also some from various years when i've visited with friends. My earliest memory is going from school and being shoved to the front of the corkscrew because everyone was scared to go on.

I havent got there just cause of my age, but now I'm 9 143cm I can go, so I've seen some vids and I agree
