'What do you mean by that?" She spoke the words softly, gazing at the other who stared back at her with a sullen contempt. His eyes held a strange sorrow, one she had not seen for many years. It had not been long since their wedding. In fact, she could almost hear the soft noises of violins and gentle cellos in the back of her ears at the memory of it. However, her mind was broken from the spell of the symphony as he reached forward. She gently took his hand, feeling its warmth. She could feel his palm slide into her own, the rough callouses gently scratching against her soft skin. They were so different, so wonderfully different. She loved him with all her heart, but there were times when she felt as if she did not know him... as if there was a stranger standing before her. He smiled at her, the edges of his lips pulling up and creasing with a worn, but warm expression. Worry began to fill her mind, endless thoughts plaguing her like a wolf stalking in the night. Why was he smiling like that? Why was he holding her palm so gently as if it was a piece of delicate glass? "I miss you. Oh God do I miss you... I miss your laughter... I miss your smile..." Her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion. Why would he say such words? She was here! She was right in front of him! Her eyes caught the light, seeing as it traveled down and sprinkled itself among the two... however, her skin was a softer shade, almost translucent. Perhaps... perhaps it was time to go. Perhaps it was time to let go of this fantasy she held... that she was still here... holding on to him... not letting him move past her. She took a deep breath, removing her hand from his cheek and placing it in her lap. It was her turn to smile sadly, to gaze at him with love and sorrow. "I miss you too... but do not worry... we were meant for another world, you and I... and one day we will be there together..." She whispered the words softly, the gentle breeze carrying them to his ears like a kiss. He glanced up, his eyes searching desperately, but seeing nothing. His gaze landed on the small bench outside, half expecting to see her there in her sunhat with a wide smile and sparkling eyes. For a moment... he did see her... but it was only for a moment... and then she was gone.
@@alexatly I don’t! I just enjoy writing stories on my own. I tried to at one time, but it didn’t feel very natural. I began working on a novel, which is still in the works and has been for many years, but that’s about as far as my creative writing has gone!
I used to be able to enjoy daydreaming, but now I feel ashamed because this feeling of not belonging in this world is just a weak coping mechanism against my pathetic reality.

I watched Howl's Moving Castle this weekend and I am feeling this so hard right now. I feel like Sophie at the beginning of the movie, resigned to a life that's, y'know, fine, but not what I really want out of life. Only wizards and magic and moving castles don't exist in this world, so I'm just stuck with the way things are
This world has loads of amazing little and big things. Try to enjoy them all, and to find out what you like and what you don't, and then make your life the best of it.
Man I feel you, this world is so boring and disgusting. There is nothing magical about it, especially if you were born into a shitty family which means you'll have a fucked mentality and a fucked future. I wanted to be born in a Ghibli's movie not in this shit.

Slowly, the jar filled with bright, bold colors mingling with each other into a beautiful rainbow. Is it like this? she thought. Her heart pounded at the thought of meeting them. Perhaps it was enough. Through a vibrant meadow, she carried the jar close to her heart. Under a tree, she waited. And waited. Finally night had come. "Stars are like messagers for us. Everyday, a star falls to give their shine to another. You are that rising star." On a dusty stone, Maria put the jar of stars and a bouquet of flowers. "I could not see you in this world, Castor. I really feel like I wasn't supposed to be born in this time period . My soul screams. It might be the night, the beautiful resilient night that reminds me of home. So distant, yet so near its painful. The hurt in my throat a gentle reminder. There was once a time, I lived elsewhere. In a palace surrounded by others. Alive with their trivial chatter, my parents away, and harsh but still adoring of me. My bedroom simple and much too big, the window constantly open, inviting. Asking the world to come in, converse with me. On the other side, my family stood. My friends. The boys and girls I’d grown up with, I could hear their laughter, the way they made fun of me for taking so long to get ready and meet them. My days were simple, I’d tie my hair with a ribbon, pick a loose dress and head out to the woods, ready to see, to observe and explore. My days were filled with laughter, shared among my companions as we sprinted through the bands of trees. And then there was you, you and I always stayed there a little longer than we should’ve. We stayed until we could see the moon greet us. And I’d ruin each of my beautiful dresses time and time again by laying on the grass with you, and looking, enamored, at this world. How could such a beautiful thing be? The sky covered, in what appeared to be spirits, stars which shone so brightly. Nothing obstructing their view, no telephone towers or wires, no grayish light pollutants. Just the gifts the gods gave us millennia ago. I miss you, and that place, and those stars. Suffocating in a way that forced his voice out, even if only above a whisper. It grasped at his soul, aiming to squeeze out it's very essence, and he let it. For he didn't see a need to put up a fight, with no one around to listen as he waxed poetically of days long past; Comforting in the way one viewed a mother, embracing him in such a warmth that seemed like too much and too little, caressing the crumbling remains of his heart with a soothing heat. For all the warmth that he felt, on such a day where the sun shone upon the earth without resistance, illuminating all that the rays could touch, it still felt like night. A time where the world fell into a still darkness, only broken up by slivers of pale moonlight and the voice of sleeping lands, encouraging the world to call to her children, encouraging them to find solace in her unjudging hold. Be it day or night, sun or moon, she called to her children asking for an answer, and answer they did, answer he did for he knew that despite all that he had done, all he had experienced, Mother Nature would accept him with open arms, never once turning him away even when her children did. This is why he let his voice carry upon the breeze, why he spoke in not but a whisper, allowing the near suffocating acceptance to envelope him. Mother Nature would listen and that was all that he needed.

As much as he wanted to keep away his tears to show her that she must be strong, the thought of everything broke him down. "Bailey", he continues" You must leave this instant, you know what will happen if you stay to long, I don't want you to get hurt....I'll never forgive myself, I'll die. Bailey replies, " but Jason....you can't leave with me, you can't cross the boundaries, I don't want to leave you, I-" Jason stopped her....."How could you ever leave me, I'm always going to be with you". Bailey could not control herself and with tears gushing down her face she replied with a broken voice...." But what....what if...I never see you again...what if I can't find you and...and we never see each other again..?"She closed her eyes trying to keep in her tears. He kissed her on her forehead, " My princess, I'll never stop searching for you. I will find you and you will find me, We will find each other again.....I promise.." and with that it was over. Bailey opened her eyes.....he was gone, everything was gone. The dream was over ....as she raised out of bed she said, ....................................."How foolish am I....to fall in love....with someone who doesn't exist." I used to have that kind of dreams in my childhood. I mean this kind of landscapes, buildings. I really want to get it back. Thank you for reminding me. I should escape the rate race of my life and put my attention more on these things. Because this is what triggers positive emotions inside me. Yes, I can do it. I truly wish we could all run away and build a home somewhere more magical...sometimes i feel if i try hard enough i can spark some form of magic but it never works. This world is so tiresome and painful I dont belong in it and i always have known so The pain becomes worse each day and i am so tired

She spoke the words softly, gazing at the other who stared back at her with a sullen contempt. His eyes held a strange sorrow, one she had not seen for many years. It had not been long since their wedding. In fact, she could almost hear the soft noises of violins and gentle cellos in the back of her ears at the memory of it. However, her mind was broken from the spell of the symphony as he reached forward. She gently took his hand, feeling its warmth. She could feel his palm slide into her own, the rough callouses gently scratching against her soft skin. They were so different, so wonderfully different. She loved him with all her heart, but there were times when she felt as if she did not know him... as if there was a stranger standing before her. He smiled at her, the edges of his lips pulling up and creasing with a worn, but warm expression. Worry began to fill her mind, endless thoughts plaguing her like a wolf stalking in the night. Why was he smiling like that? Why was he holding her palm so gently as if it was a piece of delicate glass?
"I miss you. Oh God do I miss you... I miss your laughter... I miss your smile..."
Her eyebrows scrunched up in confusion. Why would he say such words? She was here! She was right in front of him! She raised a hand, gently releasing his from her own, before placing it against his cheek. Why was he so warm... and yet she was so cold? Her eyes trailed from the soft tears leaking out of his own to the window, where the curtains lightly twisted and entangled themselves with the gentle wind blowing through the open glass. Her eyes caught the light, seeing as it traveled down and sprinkled itself among the two... however, her skin was a softer shade, almost translucent. Perhaps... perhaps it was time to go. Perhaps it was time to let go of this fantasy she held... that she was still here... holding on to him... not letting him move past her. She took a deep breath, removing her hand from his cheek and placing it in her lap. It was her turn to smile sadly, to gaze at him with love and sorrow.
"I miss you too... but do not worry... we were meant for another world, you and I... and one day we will be there together..."
She whispered the words softly, the gentle breeze carrying them to his ears like a kiss. He glanced up, his eyes searching desperately, but seeing nothing. His gaze landed on the small bench outside, half expecting to see her there in her sunhat with a wide smile and sparkling eyes. For a moment... he did see her... but it was only for a moment... and then she was gone.

I watched Howl's Moving Castle this weekend and I am feeling this so hard right now. I feel like Sophie at the beginning of the movie, resigned to a life that's, y'know, fine, but not what I really want out of life. Only wizards and magic and moving castles don't exist in this world, so I'm just stuck with the way things are
This world has loads of amazing little and big things. Try to enjoy them all, and to find out what you like and what you don't, and then make your life the best of it.

Man I feel you, this world is so boring and disgusting. There is nothing magical about it, especially if you were born into a shitty family which means you'll have a fucked mentality and a fucked future. I wanted to be born in a Ghibli's movie not in this shit.

"I could not see you in this world, Castor. But you always knew we were meant for another world." She lovingly traced his name on his tomb and walked away with a message in her heart.

My soul screams. It might be the night, the beautiful resilient night that reminds me of home. So distant, yet so near its painful. The hurt in my throat a gentle reminder. There was once a time, I lived elsewhere. In a palace surrounded by others. Alive with their trivial chatter, my parents away, and harsh but still adoring of me. My bedroom simple and much too big, the window constantly open, inviting. Asking the world to come in, converse with me. On the other side, my family stood. My friends. The boys and girls I’d grown up with, I could hear their laughter, the way they made fun of me for taking so long to get ready and meet them. My days were simple, I’d tie my hair with a ribbon, pick a loose dress and head out to the woods, ready to see, to observe and explore. My days were filled with laughter, shared among my companions as we sprinted through the bands of trees. And then there was you, you and I always stayed there a little longer than we should’ve. We stayed until we could see the moon greet us. And I’d ruin each of my beautiful dresses time and time again by laying on the grass with you, and looking, enamored, at this world. How could such a beautiful thing be? The sky covered, in what appeared to be spirits, stars which shone so brightly. Nothing obstructing their view, no telephone towers or wires, no grayish light pollutants. Just the gifts the gods gave us millennia ago. I miss you, and that place, and those stars. My heart aches at the frivolity of this world. Will my soul ever go back? Will I ever touch that land again? I’m so homesick.

Softly he spoke words of long lost love, tiredly he lay upon those silken blades of grass, a cool breeze blowing over the meadow.
It was a bright day, nothing but the harmonious songs of the land- rustling of the leaves, chirping of the birds- and yet to him it seemed oh so dark, yet blindingly bright. Suffocating in a way that forced his voice out, even if only above a whisper. It grasped at his soul, aiming to squeeze out it's very essence, and he let it. For he didn't see a need to put up a fight, with no one around to listen as he waxed poetically of days long past; Comforting in the way one viewed a mother, embracing him in such a warmth that seemed like too much and too little, caressing the crumbling remains of his heart with a soothing heat.
For all the warmth that he felt, on such a day where the sun shone upon the earth without resistance, illuminating all that the rays could touch, it still felt like night. A time where the world fell into a still darkness, only broken up by slivers of pale moonlight and the voice of sleeping lands, encouraging the world to call to her children, encouraging them to find solace in her unjudging hold.
Be it day or night, sun or moon, she called to her children asking for an answer, and answer they did, answer he did for he knew that despite all that he had done, all he had experienced, Mother Nature would accept him with open arms, never once turning him away even when her children did. This is why he let his voice carry upon the breeze, why he spoke in not but a whisper, allowing the near suffocating acceptance to envelope him.
Mother Nature would listen and that was all that he needed.

Bailey opened her eyes.....he was gone, everything was gone. The dream was over ....as she raised out of bed she said, ....................................."How foolish am I....to fall in love....with someone who doesn't exist."
