Oh man! This brings back so many memories! I was an in game GM back in the day or CSR as they called it. And what a S-Show the rage of the Wookies update was! So rushed people were falling through the world
Whoa! Thanks for GMing the game on live. The game definitely had its ups and low downs but the GMs made a lot of fun for the community in-game. I remember some GMs helping setup unique events with community members before the Storyteller system became a thing. For example, the guild I was in on Flurry was able to have a GCW event (AT-STs and Dark Force users being spawned) in their city on Lok thanks to a GM.
Great video just would like to add with the beast mounts you are able to do /gallop which will make your mount run faster for a short period of time until it gets winded. Also if your out of speeders and in desperate need you can do /flash and get a free flash speeder if it’s your first one or pay to get another one.
Good tips! Galloping can definitely help get around on creature mounts a bit faster. My friend was /flash(ing) desperately at a Flashpoint a few weeks ago because they kept forgetting to repair at the camp haha.
Yes! It was an unintended 'feature' on live which was actually patched at one point on Legends. Given the popularity of the bug and outcry from players, the Legends devs reimplemented it not long after they patched the trick.
It usually doesn't take longer than 2-5 hours for someone to approve your account. If you happen to still be waiting you can poke CSR about it in the Discord or forum as a guest I believe.
For Legends I'd say overall there are more Imperial players than Rebel, but you'll see the numbers swing with certain times of day. During peak European hours you'll see more Imperial players while peak US hours see more Rebels (think 5pm EDT - 10pm EDT).
god I miss this game :( wish Sony never shut down the server...and yes I know there is privately ran servers with like 100 players tops and you rubber band ever 10 ft so its not the same
The private server I play on, SWG Legends, averages between 700-1,200 players online each day at any time and I have experienced few connection issues. The server emulates the game as it was nearing its closure, the NGE era, so if you're looking for Pre-CU or CU you'll have to look into other emulators. I'm not sure how their populations or network stability may be as I don't play on other SWG emulators at this time.
Yes this server still exists and no you don't need a copy of the game on hand. Go to the following link and start following the instructions at Part II near the bottom of the page; ignore Part I: swglegends.com/getting-started.php

10/10 I like to move it
Greatly made and edited videos! Really filling an empty void needed for new and returning players. Thank you for your service Burrito! o7
Thanks for your support!

Great video - very comprehensive! Never knew the ITV trick for transporting group members - was that the case on live too?

@@outofthisworldburrito All that unnecessary travelling I had to do... haha
A lot of my best lessons learned in SWG were learned the hard way. 😂
how long does it usually take for you to get into the legend servers??

Whats the Imp Reb ratio for pvp?

This is all very nice but it's also NGE, what about the CU servers ?
SWG Restoration is the only CU server I'm aware of. I've never played on it but here's the website if you want to check it out: swgr.org/home/
@@outofthisworldburrito I did play on Restoration, didn't like it cause it's mixed with NGE elements.
@@dennissinned6299SWGEmu is another option but the pop is very low. Legends is best bet if you want to see people in the world.
