The cut from “you can have whatever your nasty little heart desires” to Crowley being Drunk and Sad and saying in a broken voice “Aziraphale” has me screaming
@@JaySmooth161 assuming the person in question didn’t mind vague out of context spoilers you could probably use videos like this to convince them to watch the show.
The sheer amount of times Crowley has put himself out there for Aziraphale, risking his existence, facing torture, putting his heart on the line and begging Aziraphale to leave the toxic mess behind, only for Aziraphale to say they aren't even friends, that he doesn't like him, that nothing lasts forever... it breaks my heart. Crowley may be a demon but he deserves so much better.
That and Crowley's face after Aziraphale says "you're the bad guys!". It hurts so much. Doesn't help that I FINALLY saw it two weeks ago (🎉🎉🎉) It's funny that I spoiled most of the last scene thanks to edits and such and I was still guted... And by "funny" I mean miserable...
Crowley was/is too good for heaven. I missed that they implied he was one of the strongest angels before his "fall". Aziraphel behavior comes across like he's trying to rehabilitate him to his former angel status. That is a gigantic blind spot Aziraphel. He refuses to see how toxic both sides are, while Crowley sees very clearly.
In the Ark scene, it was Cowley who said " You can't kill kids!", whilst Azirophale, although unhappy at the idea, was still defending God's decision. In spite of being sent to hell and suffering there, Cowley has still retained compassion. In contrast Azirophale, whist well-meaning, is blinkered about heaven and, too often, about Cowley's goodness. And about Cowley's essential morality which, as you say, is better than that of heaven.
I'm not sure that they implied that he was one of the mightiest angels. He was higher up, that's for sure, because he was able to open the file. But I always understood "only the mightiest of arch-angels coule have performed" in the way that Azi and Crowley together could perform very powerful miracles. I think Crowley mentions that in one episode.
His past as a powerful angel was brought up so much this season I can't help but be curious if it will be a big plot point next season. Like Crowley went by a different Angel name (he never introduced himself as an angel) and it turns out he had Azi's new job before M̶i̶c̶h̶a̶e̶l̶ Gabriel did.
Man, Aziraphale's rejection was so in character. He’s always been the one denying their relationship. "We're not friends." "I don't even like you." Crowley might not have known exactly how much Aziraphale means to him but I don't think he ever denied liking him and in later eons he never denied they were at least friends.
Goddamn, this was so good! Watching the second season, it made me realize how often Aziraphale labelled Crowley as "evil" and "bad", and it's really sad. :( Like I love their relationship but damn Aziraphale, he's more than that!
Yeah, but you also ever realise how much Aziraphale labelled Crowley as good or bad. When he did a good deed, he always says that somewhere deep down, he’s still good. But Crowley rarely labels Aziraphale. Only once, if I recall correctly.
I feel like he's always labeling his inherent nature/ identity as bad and evil, simply because he's a demon. He does also criticize or assume bad actions sometimes, like even in S1, assuming that he's lying to him because "of course, you're a demon, that's what you do." But he points out when he's good, nice, kind, etc. Those are personal and specific compliments. But...labelling him as inherently bad feels worse to me. Like despite ALL the tons of evidence and instances of Crowley being GOOD, Aziraphale still considers him to be part of "the bad guys". Crowley will never been redeemed in Aziraphale's eyes unless he completely changes who he fundamentally is and becomes an angel. The line from S2 E6 that always kills me the most is "Of course you said no to hell, YOU'RE the bad guys." The shocked look on Crowley's face says it all. I feel like he's so blind-sided, realizing that all this time, Aziraphale's opinion of him as an evil demon has never changed.
The bit where you had “I’m unforgiveable” and “I forgive you” brought so much clarity! I keep trying to figure out why Aziraphale forgave him in the last episode, and now it makes so much more sense!
I'm on Azi side. I think he feels as less than Crowley as he's an angel, naive and all, and his only way to succeed would be Heaven. In his mind I guess Crowley can have and be what he wants without problem, and Azi is not like that.
This is so beautiful and painful at the same time. Crowley is my favourite character and my heart hurts for him. Thank you. I am rewatching it straight away.
Crowley getting hit by the firehose water gets me emotional every time- he looks so frail and helpless that it's shocking. So the way you put shots of that right after Aziraphale says, "nothing lasts forever" and "it's over", creates the perfect visual representation of what a gut-punch those words are to Crowley (and all of us!).
You need to be incarcelated, because it's unacceptable the impunity of steeling and crushing my heart completely in only 4 minutes straight. Seriously though, you killed me. This edit couldn't be better, it's just perfect in every way. The connections between scenes, the pace, the build up, how you masterfully exposed Crowley's feelings... OMFG, I can't. Edit: Ok, I'm editing this because I'm not done throwing roses at you. I've seen the video like 4 times in a row, I can't stop now, is incredible and so full of details. You really made a wonderful job on displaying how *good* Crowley really is (and I know he'll smack me if he'd heard me). That's the real truth. He was too curious and clever for Heaven, he's too nice and empathic for Hell, and bottom line, he's too *GOOD* for either of them. He's not pure, he's not a saint, he's totally flawed, he constantly makes mistakes, he's obviously not near perfect. But still, he IS a good person, he really tries to do what's better, without a care in the whole existence about who gets offended in his way. Aziraphale is well-intended, but ultimately ends up justifying all the bs Heaven do, no questions asked. No matter how many times Crowley showed him the reality, he refuses to see it. Just as he refuses to accept his feelings and the real nature of his relationship with Crowley. I could be talking about this for hours and hours, holy shit.
Well, it's been 19 days since I watched the second season and my pain and anguish endure. It's nice to know that there's other dorks like me out there that are still gutted over that ending. Alchemy, once again you know just how to hit me in my feelings!

Awesome edit. Creative prompt for another video: Open with Crowley telling Azi he can't leave his bookshop, continue with the scene, cut when Crowley leaves him all alone in the bookshop, then cut to Azi taking the last glance at him standing by his car, continue with the scene, Crowley getting in his car driving off, use the same melancholy music that's playing at the end of the episode, which totally amplifies the sorrow his character is feeling, and throughout that 3 minute driving scene have Crowley reminisce all those moments they interacted with each other over the two seasons, give them as flashbacks and keep cutting back to Crowley driving the car with that sad face :)

thank you so much! that's such a shame that people are trashing it. I think Mr. Gaiman is strong-willed and I'll bet he's handling it like a champ though.
I can't imagine how much time and effort you put into this edits but I want you to know that it's not in vain and every second spent on it is worth it!! this is one of the best edits i have ever seen
I keep coming back to this edit and rewatching it because IT'S SO BEAUTIFUL. I've watched so many GO edits and this one is just so heartwrenching but great at the same time.

No but literally. “You can have whatever your nasty little heart desires” *in a broken, soft, sad voice* “Aziraphale” 🥹🥹
💯
The anguish in Crowley’s voice the second time he says to Aziraphale “tell me you said NO!” breaks my heart every time I hear it.
Do you know I can’t put my finger on it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that alchemy may, in fact, be a big fan of good omens.
Don't know how you came to that conclusion. Have you got any evidence?

This one will be slightly less frequently bc it makes me cry. But I’ll be listening again and again as per usual. 😊😊
thank you so much! that's such a shame that people are trashing it. I think Mr. Gaiman is strong-willed and I'll bet he's handling it like a champ though.
Oh shit the transition between Crowley walking into the fire and then him walking to kiss Aziraphale!!! Holy shit you're a genius !!! 🤯🫂
Thank you
Fuck, this is beautiful. I love that you are showing this, I felt all this from Crowley's character but didn't know how to encapsulate it.
Okay. Wow. This made me cry. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking, and this just might be my favorite vid to come out of season 2 so far. ❤💔❤️
Thank you!
