Just wanted to share some thoughts about the second season. The first season and the second season are very very different, which is evident in this video. I think it’s due to the fact that Neil and Terry are two very different writers. Terry is imo better when it comes to social commentary and satire, his humor is very cheeky and ultimately British. Some jokes are just hilarious. Neil also produces funny jokes here and there, but his biggest talent is writing character driven stories, he doesn’t create so many useless (sorry Pratchett) storylines, but just tries to focus on the main characters. That’s why we see more character development in the second season and that’s why it’s so easy to love the second season more if you are a Crowley/Azi fan. I miss the Terry Pratchett flavor to it when it comes to humor, but I’m super pleased with all the scenes of these two dorks in love
"You idiot...we could have been... *us*" and "No nightingales" in quick succession burned my heart out with hellfire and scattered the ashed into that gorgeous nebula where it will wait for S3 to piece it back together.

Immediately after that line, the narrator says that only one of these things is correct (he is intelligent), going on to explain that 1. he is not from England and 2. angels are sexless unless they “really want to make an effort”. Also, there are multiple other references to Aziraphale being seen as gay in the book. (“southern pansy” comments, the Anathema part, another time when one of the kids calls him a Certain Derogatory Word)
One of my favourite lines from the book was Crowley saying "Do you know what this is? This is a Sainsbury's plant mister", on the show they must have decided they couldn't use the name so he just says "plant mister" and it doesn't sound as funny.
It's a BBC co-production which means there are rules about brands being mentioned, probably what axed that. Crowely's Valentino sunglasses are modified to hide the branding too.
Some honorable mentions are "sorry to break up an intimate moment" and Jim offering everyone hot coco while they're throwing fire extinguishers down a flight of stairs
