Almost 30yrs of hobby soldering and still terrible 🤣 not really that bad. Still using hako 936 I got about 25urs ago. Working on a custom axial based 6x4 tow rig. Getting the rear gooseneck hitch model while watching. It has a 27t trailmaster in it. Was just driving my hg-p408 running a torquemaster 21t earlier. Fantastic motors!! Thank you
Thanks for the superb electronics and your informative videos, you teach me a lot of deep dive detail about the motors specifically and you have helped me begin to understand the different motor types. Excellent information! In my T-Jet days we had a lot of motor wind options for those fantastic little pancake motors. (Which were my first introduction to the inner workings of an electric motor.) I spent my career working with large motors (up to 4160 V) and generators (up to 330 MW). I'm recently retired and RCs have been taking up a lot of my time. I soldered before but not to the level I am at now which (thanks to youtubers such as yourself) is increasing rapidly. Working on my Sherpa build today, I have to run in to town to gather a few bits I need to finish it up. I'm trying out your 5 Slot - 13 turn - Pro 540 and trying out that sweet new 16 Volt servo of yours. I don't typically put a project on hold, however, in this case I have paused my Bomber build (3500kv HH puller pro v2 w/Mamba X) and proceeding with the Sherpa. All those nice new little parts need to find their home. I am fortunate to have a few excellent shops here in the Denver area and can dang near get everything I need from them. I'll get back to that bomber soon enough, but I was up against a couple of those little Issues to work past, or is it just builders block?
If I could only have more hours in the day I'd get around to finishing all my "projects". I just started working on my Lowered TF2 drift truck. 2WD, flipped the front hubs for that sweet camber, R1 13.5T and MST wheels/tires. Servo finally came in so final assembly just started.
Thankyou for admitting that you've been taking your time with a build, not all of us get it done quickly!! I've had projects lasting years, that are still going this year and I'll probably finish them next year........ maybe🤣🤣🤣
I started soldering last year and I’m decent now. I bought the basic Weller 80W. I think I want to get a smaller chisel tip for it. I think the thing I’ve learned most is to get the smaller diameter solder and focus practice on tinning wires and contact points. I think people go into soldering thinking it’s like welding and it’s not at all
A few months ago or so i bought your G10 comp chassis with Team Garage Hack 2.Low transmission their rims for the Capra axle the Capra a axles one of your servos i had as well as one of your 2200kv puller pro stubby motors and my mamba x esc along with 1.9 Pro Line Hyrax predator compound tires G-Made shocks Proline SR5 body. just painted the body just need to figure out how i am going to mount it. Eventualy i plan on getting your brushed esc and the Crawl Master Magnum Stubby 16T and see how i like it compared to the brushless setup i currently have.

Hey man I do comps in Springfield built my truck from the ground up. I would live to have a 11t magnum motor but it's a little out of my budget right now. And my soldering skills have really improved over the last year
Just got my HH Crawlmaster Pro 550 15 for my 10-3 build. My Spawn brushless conversion is leading to necessary upgrades as things break under pressure (Trailmaster Pro 3800kv/Mamba X), and sways for stability. Next is to see where my loss of power in my Senton 3s is coming from.
Ha! My sherpa build isn't done either.. its been sitting for at least a year too. Please cover your methods of attacing the body in detail when you get to that point. As well as shock setup for maximum performance.
I just picked up an Arrma Big Rock, sorry no it's not a crawler, it's a basher round abouts similar to a Traxxas Hoss. it has the Spektrum ic5 plug, so planning to swap in a deans for the batteries I intend to run. gotta get that rust knocked off
