Hi Andrew. I've learned a lot from you. Now I have a question. You soder small rings. I'm trying to soder brass - 3" x 3/4" x 1/4" at the end of the piece with a 3" x 1" x 1/8". Am I supposed to heat up both pieces to the full temperature; or how do I keep the heat only on the end which is being sodered?
