CALEB use a dry erase marker !!! Right over top of the sharpie and wipe with a dry paper towel comes off immediately my fiancé is a teacher and showed me that for my games! Works amazing goodluck!

HA! My backyard, that Mckays used to be a GOLD mine back in the day. You can still find some good stuff for sure but man you used to be able to pull stuff dirt cheap out of there, they then hired a guy who taught them all about the online market and pricing and it went to the birds. Pro tip: with permanent marker, go over it again with permanent marker to re-activate the already there marker then wipe clean. Works on almost everything
I've been to the McKays in Chattanooga before, they also have video games marked up to high prices, but it is a cool store!
My opinion now that one cheaper than the Knoxville store I've been scoring a lot of Wii Sports, wii sports resorts for $2 each because I put them in the scratch section

Mckays! Haven't been to there in a good while. I usually go to the one in Nashville. Use the dry erase marker trick to get that permanent marker off those sealed games. Just mark over the permanent marks and wipe them away with a tissue or cloth.

If you don't know by now Isopropyl Alcohol is the gods gift when it comes to cleaning marker up. The higher percentage the better because it will just evaporate away leaving no residue. It's why most gamers/Fixers use the stuff.

you can use a Good dry erase marker to remove permanent marker works really well for me when cleaning games.

Use Axe body spray (the least offensive smelling one that you can stand) and marker comes right off pretty much anything.
I wouldn't use acetone AKA nail polish remover to get permanent marker off plastic. Depending on the type of plastic you can do some very undesirable things. Rubbing alcohol works great so does spray body deodorant or use a dry erase marker over it then then wipe with alcohol for stubborn marks.

Do not use acetone it can eat the plastic. I have only had it happen once but I did destroy a ps1 case with acetone. I have had no problems with alcohol and magic erasers. Also future tip buy a power plug for your car. You can at least make sure systems power on and handhelds charge before leaving the parking lot.
I went to my first McKay's ever a few weeks ago, and left super disappointed. Everything was marked up to the moon.
If dry erase marker doesn't work for you on permanent marker, spray a paper towel with some hair spray and wipe at the marker

Yep they are when I go to the one in Chattanooga most of the games in the scratch section is a dollar or two mostly grab all the PS1 and GameCube games $1 and 360 PS3 wii for $2 I used to live in Knoxville about 4 months ago I moved to Morristown but I still try to go once a month

use a dry erase marker on the permanent marker. just trace over it and it should erase no problem. I use that trick all the time to remove sharpy from NES games.

Remember the sell a game to get a work your way to a Nintendo switch special edition? You’d make so much more money if you didn’t do that. Although it made for great content. I don't think he sells bulk items to people I think he just takes a bulk stack to a game store and does store credit so he can buy a higher priced game either to sell or for his collection. I know some of the other. RUclipsers he knows does that.
Just saw a retro youtuber find a ps2 with a stack of games for 350 2 controls,console,wires, and like 40+ games, he cried about the price. Lol
Future reference (goof off) removes marker and adhesive without damaging anything …question though what’s is the site you use to to look up how it’s sealed to know if the folds etc are authentic on the Cellophane I get that the box sealed under are legit but how do you tell if the wrapping is legit

To be fair a new Ps4 game is typically $49.00 to $59.00 retail. So he wasn't lying...but he runs a Pawn Shop not a Best Buy.

Not sure if Mckay is the same company as Mckay Bros. or not but there used to be a Mckay Bros. Near me and one time I was in there, and saw Mario Golf for N64 in there. It had 2 price stickers on it. a $15 and a $1 on it. So I said I wanted it and when I went to pay. He said the total was like $16 something. I said there is a $1 sticker on it. The employee looks at it and says, "That's not supposed to be on there." and so I didn't buy it. They went out of business sometime later and I wasn't upset.

"It's a lot of work" This point needs to be understood. I do resale on and off and my friends always complain to me that they go in a goodwill every once in awhile and never find stuff. You have to go a lot, you have to know what things are worth, you have to look through a wide area not just 1 store. Even after telling my friends this they don't believe me. There is no easy make money quick schemes, it's hard work like any other job.
Still alot easier than a physically demanding job

Very true I have 4 Goodwills in my area and only 2 of them give anything remotely good. But that said I am talking about DVDs that are maybe $10 for resale. At this point it is something I am just doing on the side to get a little extra money. Caleb has the most streamlined system I have seen yet even he admits it's not perfect.
