When applying for undergraduate degree in the US does one need to do evaluation for the form four certificate?

    • @KenyaUSATimesTV
      @KenyaUSATimesTV  Месяц назад

@@afukanewton When applying for an undergraduate degree in the U.S. from a foreign country, evaluating your high school diploma and meeting testing requirements is often necessary. Here’s a breakdown of what is typically required:
      1. Evaluating Your High School Diploma
      • Why It’s Needed:
      • U.S. universities need to verify that your foreign education meets their academic standards.
      • Evaluation ensures equivalence to a U.S. high school diploma.
      • How to Get It Evaluated:
      • Many universities require an evaluation from a credential evaluation service, such as:
      • World Education Services (WES)
      • Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE)
      • SpanTran or others specified by the university.
      • Some universities perform their evaluations, so check their admissions website for specific instructions.
      • Documents Needed for Evaluation:
      • Official high school transcripts.
      • Certified translations (if documents are not in English).
      • Graduation certificates, if applicable.
      2. Standardized Tests
Most U.S. universities require one or more standardized tests for international students:
      a. SAT or ACT (Optional in Some Cases)
      • Many U.S. universities require the SAT or ACT as part of the application process, though some are now test-optional or test-flexible.
      • These tests assess math, critical reading, writing, and reasoning skills.
      b. English Proficiency Tests
      • TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language): Measures English proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
      • IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Another widely accepted test for English proficiency.
      • Duolingo English Test: Increasingly accepted as a more affordable and convenient alternative.
      • Exemptions:
      • Some universities waive the English test if you studied in an English-speaking country or program.
      c. Other Tests (Specific to Some Universities)
      • Placement or subject-specific tests, depending on the university and program.
      • Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) scores, if applicable, for advanced credit.
      3. Additional Requirements
      • Personal Statement or Essay: A chance to showcase your goals and personality.
      • Letters of Recommendation: Typically from teachers or counselors.
      • Financial Documentation: Proof of financial ability to cover tuition and living expenses (for the visa application).
      • Portfolio (if applicable): Required for arts, design, or architecture programs.
      • Application Fees: Paid directly to the university or through platforms like Common App.
      Tips for International Applicants:
      1. Start Early: Credential evaluations and standardized testing can take time.
      2. Research Each University: Requirements vary, so check the admissions page of each school you’re applying to.
      3. Meet Deadlines: International applicants often have earlier deadlines to account for processing and visa requirements.
By ensuring your diploma is evaluated and meeting all testing and documentation requirements, you’ll set yourself up for a smooth application process!

Thanks.I put Education since I thought, I would use it in my studies. However, I ended up using it in my current employment and it worked. I think,in my opinion putting education is the best bet because you can use it anywhere. However if it’s about Canada express entry immigration put it as required, immigration.

As of now, there is no specific information available indicating a formal partnership between Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) and World Education Services (WES). However, WES partners with many institutions globally to streamline the process of credential evaluations. These partnerships allow institutions to send documents directly and securely to WES, facilitating a smoother evaluation process for students and graduates.
