Thank you! Awesome video I love how you thoroughly explain how everything works and synergies with each other. How to proc the restoration times 2 or 3, how to stay radiant, how the aspects and fragments work for the build and goal. As a warlock when the buffs fall off and my nades, melee are in limbo- I struggle a bit... the survivability not only shows in the video's gameplay, but you explain the how and why. Appreciate the video again
My pleasure! I definitely tried really hard to explain things as thoroughly as I could, so I appreciate your appreciation! Once we get into TFS, I'm definitely going to try out some new builds with Karnstein!

@@InsomniacSrategies thanks for letting me know... most definitely will watch it... I was just thinking today about void and diving in to a void build... Ive been away from void the last few seasons
I use them for Gambit with a Vexcalibur then when I go across to intrude I change to Polaris and get a lot of kills. Only time I ever die is if opposition kills me when I intrude.
Oh man, such an awesome build 😊. It has actually more explosions then sunbrasers build. Just went to test it in lost sector - legend 3 minutes, master 7 (full clears)😂😂. Its stupidly fun too, more importantly. Im having a blast at the moment, gonna try and check warlords ruin. Cheers bro, thanks alot!
I'm so happy to hear it, thanks so much!!! So much easier than Sunbracers, right? If you whiff a charged melee you still have regular melees and finishers. I played around in solo Warlords one boss at a time, until I felt comfortable beating them. Good luck, and let me know if there's anything else I can do!

DIM Link used in the video: dim.gg/3j4svji/Solar-Karnstein-Solo-Warlord Here's a bonus DIM link to a Strand, Woven Mail, Mindspun Invocation, Wintersbite and Karnstein build that provides a hilarious amount of crowd control and survivability. I imagine it will work even better with the Strand Primary GL they're going to release: dim.gg/rod4w4i/Demolitionist-woven-mail-karnstein
More than one person can come up with the same build at the same time so I believe you :). If you wanted to make a unique video or something, there’s a lot of interest in these comments for a Strand variant. I have one in my pinned comments but it needs perfecting/glaives don’t feel like the play due to limited boss damage
There's a lot of exotic armor that I've never used, especially on Titan and Hunter. As a Warlock main, I've never even used Karnsteins! Never really thought about what they'd be good for. I really like solar builds, so I'll have to give this a try. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to builds and hopefully this will teach me something. post edit: Oh I almost forgot to mention that this video earned an "Insta Sub" from me! I'm glad I discovered you and I'm looking forward to future Destiny videos!
Thanks so much for subscribing!!! The rework this season to Karnstein made all the difference! I liked Karnstein in solo content before, but I usually found other items better. Now that the healing is “Restoration” and it can be extended AT RANGE with Ember of Empyrean it’s *chef’s kiss*

I have a really good stat roll of Karnstein Armlets. Been sitting in my vault, never used it, I constantly just asked myself "well, I like it, but what am I gonna use this thing for". I think I have my answer. Just have to masterwork or at least decently upgrade the thing and we're good to go.
Excellent! This season's rework is definitely a reason to brush the dust off it :) Its worth playing around with it and glaives, but its hard to advocate using them in more serious PVE content until they give us a primary slot glaive
I think this would be better on strand warlock. Grapple is already considered a melee and strand warlock also has the best 'ranged' melee as well. On top of that, weavewalk + woven mail is already tanky af. Pair that with resto 1/2 and now THAT would be the real ununaliveable build.
Feel free to give the Strand build in my pinned comment some tweaking. I agree that it works great with Strand esp because of Woven Mail. I never tried Strand without a glaive tho and they left me struggling on boss dps. I’d be interested in hearing what suggestions you have 👍
Awesome video how is this build in endgame content and versus bosses I’m new to Destiny too so just want to know thank you. Also since I just started how long would it take to get everything needed to make this build?
Thank you! Besides dungeons, its good in some harder content where survivability is the primary concern. Examples would be Thrallway and the Bridge encounter in the Crota's end raid. It is primarily meant to be a solo build, so I wouldn't use it in Grand Master Nightfalls or Raid encounters with boss DPS. The solar auto rifle (Abyss Defiant) I use will take a lot of time, but you can easily substitute it for literally any solar primary weapon with the Incandescent perk. Karnstein is a random drop, is sometimes sold by Xur, and there's lots of farming options like Lost Sectors. They've added a lot of things I haven't needed to do since I already have the exotic, so I'd recommend searching something like "best exotic farm for new players in Destiny 2". Then its a matter of reaching the recommended light level. I'm happy to answer any other questions you might have. Good luck and have fun!

Absolutely! If you haven't tried the Winterbite strand build I shared in a pinned comment, you should give that a try too...Mindspun Invocation consuming Shackle Grenade plus Winterbite's inherent slow/freeze on top of Woven Mail and Karnstein's healing is just stupid fun xD
people really sleep on karnsteins, yah sunbracers are technically better but i much prefer karnsteins since I can turn my brain off and have survivability in a pinch. pretty much used a variation of this build to solo flawless every dungeon this season for fun (since I already had most of my solo flawless runs done the season they came out) and it’s just a consistent way to stay alive. maybe just my playstyle but being able to just not worry about dying in most situations and focus on dungeon mechanics is something I really value when I do solo flawless dungeons.
I 100% agree! You do lose some offensive potential vs Sunbracers, but its absolutely the consistency/security that makes it worth it for me! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Yah glaives (and edge specifically) can definitely ramp up survival. My favorite with glaives was Strand for the Woven Mail and Empyrean was awkward to trigger with glaives
I'm sure it would work pretty good! Constantly healing yourself so the burn shouldn't kill you. I get scared to use something that aggressive in solo dungeons, but I've loved playing with it in other activities :D
I just finished an update 😃: ruclips.net/video/4HNEhLY0w0g/видео.html The short answer is yes, but I tweaked it slightly for the changes in TFS. Thanks for watching!
I'm going to add a bonus DIM link in my pinned comment. I have a Karnstein, Winstersbite, Strand, Woven Mail and Mindspun Invocation build that provides a silly amount of crowd control and survivability even in GMs. I didn't include it because the damage is lacking but its fun if nothing else haha
To be fair, I haven't tested it in PVP. I know restoration in generally is a bit less in PVP. I could definitely see the cure effect being wonky in PVP.
To your credit, I changed the title to "Survival Meta" after this comment. I'd agree that there are builds with more offense and good survivability. If you've PLAY-TESTED my build/Karnstein glaive builds against another Warlock build with more survivability, please send me a DIM link so I can try it out :)
