For the Lightning Surge build, I would recommend Resilience and Strength. If you want to play with the GM Variant, I'd recommend Resilience, Recovery (Hellion and gets you back into encounters faster) then Strength. Glad you liked it and thanks for asking (sorry its a very late response)!

I would say this is a good build for Lost Sectors, ESP if you use the Arc super instead of the Solar one I use. In high-end lost sectors the crowd control would be more useful. I don't have any builds for solo GMs as its not something I've ever attempted. However this Arc Vesper of Radius build would be good in a group, ESPECIALLY now that heavy Arc weapons ALSO blind on kills with Spark of Beacons (ruclips.net/video/zenbwY8Rtn0/видео.html) so you can go all in on crowd control. The second build in my Necrotic Grips video (ruclips.net/video/mdOODuPMSI0/видео.html) is another GM build you could use in a group. For solo dungeons, I absolutely love Karnstein Armlets (ruclips.net/video/BCgruQ9261c/видео.htmlsi=QXM3oqchmVkcVYQc). The gameplay in that video is from last season, but I added a Final Shape updated DIM link in the description, and its basically just subbing in Song of Flame because it has way better survivability. I actually used Striga too in the campaign! I actually kinda prefer it still just because it has amazing single target damage that wasn't changed at all in the nerf this season. There's a lot of chunky targets in legendary difficulty that can often leave you without heavy or special ammo, and I love Striga for that kind of content. And people hear nerf and assume that means its useless, but I still really like it's add clear potency. Plus its the only poison weapon with anti-barrier effects this season, and there's a lot of shields in the campaign. The main reason I used Thorn in the video was that it had been suggested in an earlier video, and I like to use viewer suggestions :). I do feel like it might have stronger add clear now, but Striga still wins in single target damage IMO

I believe the fastest way would be the new Exotic Engram focusing system with the Cryptarch at the Tower. I think Lost Sectors are now meant to give you Engrams, which you then focus (or randomly decrypt), but the Season Pass is another source. I hope this helps, and thanks for watching!

You weren't the only one who found this confusing so I could have done a better job. I did try to say "the obvious choice would be to use the Arc super for blinding explosions. While this is a solid choice, I actually prefer Song of Flame" as its a personal preference. I could have more clearly explained that you'd just need to swap the super if you want the blind. Though I'd personally prefer Arc over Prismatic if blinding was my goal esp. with the rework to Spark of Beacons allowing Arc heavy weapons to also blind targets on kills. :)

@@DJTyme209 Yup! It was meant to be more of a fun build based around constantly having Hellion, spamming Threadlings from Weaver's Call, and the pulse damage (just without the blind).

I know Syntho doesn't buff Necrotic's poison damage, but not sure on the rest, sorry. Hellion should make short work of whatever's left, though. If you got an Inmost + Syntho roll you should be able to get one-shots.

This build is awesome for non gm solo content. But in a raid or something definitely speaker

I keep seeing this but builds seem focused on teamplay. How does speakers work for solo play though?

@proximityAlert I have seen that I'm able to maintain resto x2 longer with speaker sight. The turret refreshes your restoration every 3 seconds and I counted that you can have restoration for 25 seconds without even having to get a kill after throwing down the turret.(not even adding extending the timer to 15 seconds) Grenade cooldown is 45 seconds with tier 100 discipline. Paired with a demo weapon I find myself with the ability to throw multiple turrets out. The gameplay loop is just so much safer and easier to maintain

I agree, especially for Solar, team play and high end content. In Solo content where you can be or have to be more mobile, do you ever find yourself getting out of range of the turret? Personally, I’d still prefer Karnstein for Prismatic solo play since you lose some of Speaker’s potential outside of Solar, and it frees up your grenade for a damage option that works better with Feed the Void

I keep wanting to see gameplay of a Necrotic Synthoceps roll, but Swarm is definitely up there! I wish we got the Threadlings Unravel targets part of the exotic instead. At least in a poison build like this

Good point! The Song build had been focused on big groups of strong enemies like GM or Onslaught. I didn’t give much thought for boss DPS there. Maybe swap in Nova Bomb and trade Bleak Watcher for Weaver’s Call - get a few free Threadlings from your Unravel melee ticks? Plus the three you could deploy right before DPS begins

@@InsomniacSrategies Song is currently the most total damage you can do on a warlock with a super. So it is definitely an option. But yeah, just use one-offs. Nova bomb buff is very nice indeed :)

Yeah I got Necrotic & Claw. It’s dope. Sadly the poison doesn’t intensify like it does with base necrotic grips. But it’s still super strong. What is cool though is that Claw gives you an additional snap melee during song of flame too

I got Spirit of Necrotic with Spirit of Swarm....probably the God Roll for a build like this!

100% what @supertoastboi3231 said :) Focused Exotic Engram decoding will guarantee it if you have his rep maxed. If you're still leveling his rep, there's a lot of good guide videos out there. Just don't make the mistake I did when leveling him and not focus specific exotics I'd already unlocked (I think its called tier 2). That gave the most rep I believe. If you played in prior seasons and might have season pass items to claim, I'd recommend Googling "season pass Firefox extension" (you do need to download firefox and link your game account first). You might be able to pull exotic engrams from prior season passes

Fair point, a lot of the capture took place while I was multi-tasking and completing Pathfinder objectives such as Scout Rifle kills, AND I was leveling weapons. You’ll notice it isn’t saved to the DIM build ☺️

I literally have both of those exotics on my production list XD They both work really well with Song of Flame too because the Super melee can apply the weaken or proc resto. You could keep the Void overshield with a Destabilizing Round + Repulsor Brace weapon, Manticore, or Vexcalibur

It definitely feels like Hunters and Warlocks are getting some extra love in the melee department ☺️ Winter’s Guile is ALMOST viable now with Prismatic, Transcendent and Song of Flame

Consecration Is the best melee aspect in the game and frenzied blade is the best melee ability in the game

Unfortunately it doesn't deal escalating necrotic damage over time on the class item, so the damage falls off very hard in the endgame.

Now they just need to allow vesper to work with Phoenix dive. I like the extra movement, especially now with blink.

@@cjdandrea Yeah, that's really too bad. I'm 90% sure I tested Phoenix Dive with Weaver's Call and that at least worked. I'm planning to use it in a Swarmers build video I want to make soon

@@cjdandrea Felwinters Helm is definitely in my queue, but the one I hope to release tonight uses Necrotic Grips - you can instantly poison a whole room, kill most of them, and they spread poison to anyone not already poisoned or killed. Feels so nice with Feed the Void. The survival one uses Karnstein Armlets. Fallen Sunstar is another solid one I should definitely try soo!

I expect either that's a bug that they're going to try to nerf at some point because they usually don't let us keep things that work that nicely 🤣

I didn't mention that in the video but I 100% hope I can try out that combo! It sounds like you don't get the Rift regen speed with Spirit of Vesper, but there are ways to build around that 😁

You don't get the explosions, blinding, or Rift regen though. Not worth it, at least in my opinion.

I'm 100% hoping to try Spirit of Filaments with Spirit of Vesper! It looked like you can't get the rift regen speed though, so its going to be a tough choice

The point of this video was to quickly show the concept. Considering the video is doing pretty well, I'll most likely make a longer video later and I'll make sure to get stronger and shielded targets in that gameplay 🙂. In the meantime, there was a Lightbearer Acolyte at about 17 seconds and a chunky Subjugator at about 1:20

Those shields probably wont last very long with helion alone

@@NEWGHOST9 They don't unless its underleveled content and a boss haha - Hellion makes short work of most targets through direct damage and Ignitions if they take enough hits 👍

100%!! One of the alternate loadouts I used was that with a special glaive :D

My build doesn’t blind but does do a tun of damage, you’re correct! You can very easily tweak my build to use the Arc super in the prismatic subclass and still get the blind though. Both are very solid options and I mainly had a hard time giving up the solar super for the blind. There are more things that come into play with fragments and the Seasonal Artifact that made me like the Solar super and I’ll cover them in a full-length build video if this video does well :)

@InsomniacSrategies I was wondering about that. I'm a diehard Vesper user, but I do a lot of higher level content. Usually the damage wasn't the main reason I used it as much as the safety of any of the extremely dangerous "when I reach you, you die" enemies getting blinded. If the damage is actually great on it, I might try it

You might also like this build modified from my prior season's Arc Vesper build: dim.gg/nask6fa/Arc-Vesper-TFS This was one of the first things I tried in TFS now that HEAVY weapon kills also cause blind with Spark of Beacons, but it didn't seem to be working at the time so I skipped that update. I just verified that its working as of today! 😁

Yeah that build took me by surprise. I was trying a bunch of things and many things felt underpowered, until I put on thorn. Thing hits like a truck and feels reaply good again the new enemies. Read death is great to pair with karnstein too

Great improvement! Coincidentally, I’m playing with a build using Lightning Surge, Feed the Void, Song of Flame and Necrotic Grips that’s cooking. You don’t get Lighting Surge until after the campaign, so Hellion would be my pick
