This design is very friendly for transposition. This might force the traditional piano keyboard to reform to be friendly for transposition. I have discussed to my friend about the 6+6 piano keyboard design. For each octave, 6 white and 6 black keys. For all the structure, only 2 fingerings are needed, and the 2 fingerings are very similar to each other. It saves tons of time of practicing only to play a score in another tune. So, why not redesign the piano keyboard?
This was genuinely iconic, but I must confess that when I clicked on this video, in my heart of hearts, I was quietly hoping to hear Gabriel's Oboe from the soundtrack to The Mission (1983), also by Morricone. Nevertheless, this was decidedly time well spent. 👌🏻
Hi Matthieu, you have played this so beautifully. Well accomplished and I compliment you on a fitting tribute to a wonderful Maestro. Thank you so very much.Greetings from England.
Is he using an effects pedal of some sort here? The sound seems slightly reverby but it may just be the reverb available on the amplifier. I wonder if anyone has tried out various effects pedals with this instrument. Can you imagine using a wah wah pedal, for instance? The possibilities are endless.
You can clearly hear (tasteful use of) reverb and delay. Sounds lovely. If this electric instrument didn't have some sort of reverb (or delay) it would sound unnaturally dry unless close/room microphones and amplifier used.
@@michaelgoble8200 not seeing pedals isn't proof of no reverb or delay, most reverb added later or for old school studio people rack mounted effects or wet rooms where a speaker is put in a reverberant room, RCA records did this in an underground room in their iconic LA building, Bon Jovi "Slippery When Wet" recordings played through the concrete loading area of the recording studio to get natural reverb (that's why recording sounds huge, fantastic sound)
Ennio forever. Bravo Maestro.
excellent! this instrument works very well with the composition style of morricone!

You could easily play the William Tell Overture on that wonderful musical instrument.
Вот как могли бы выглядеть современные гусли. Звучит красиво. 👍

You can see both feet near the end of the video. There are no pedals being used.
