I bought a Bravia 3 65 inch for my birthday two months ago and very easy to set-up along with the sound bar i got a week later. The greatest purchase I've ever made.
I did my homework and decided on the Bravia 3 and I'm VERY happy with it. I only stream content, so 60hz is all I need. I will never play games, so I don't care about faster refresh rates. The TV is in a bright room, so the better contrast of the more expensive TV is not needed. I understand that in a very dark room the blacks wouldn't be as dark as an OLED TV. I don't need that. The Bravia 3 is incredibly sharp and has lively, but realistic colors. I noticed some of the TVs had color that looked more cartoonish compared to the Bravia 3 in the display room. I saved myself THOUSANDS by not bowing to pressure to buy only the highest end TV.

Great work, Thanks. Is it equal to qled displays offered by Samsung and which one is better.( Sony LED 4K vs Samsung QLED). why Sony is using LED displays still?
@sureshmadha6174 Sony does offer a couple QLED displays this year with the Bravia 7 and Bravia 9. The 3 is not QLED, but still looks very good and holds its own when compared to the Samsung QLED models. This would compare closest to the Q60D series as they are both 60Hz panels.

@rabiedaou4642 The Bravia 3 is the replacement for the X80K. You'll see some improvement in picture performance on the 3, but outside of that they are pretty similar TVs. Debating this TV for the larger 85' size and more affordable price. But also considering sacrificing the size for a 77' Oled B4 currently on sale. Would you choose this for the extra size or sacrifice that extra size for the B4 Oled?
@markanthony5531 Between these two models we'd say to sacrifice some screen size and go with the B4 OLED. But before you make your pick, give us a call at 800-860-3736 to talk to one of our TV experts. They can also tell you about any promotions we have that we can't show online.
@studiosingyourstyle This is an LED backlit TV as opposed to OLED. OLED has the best contrast of any TV type so you're getting deeper black levels and colors often feel richer on an OLED. That being said, if you're looking for a larger TV, an LED type will allow you to get a bigger screen for less money. Going from an OLED to a Bravia 3 though, you may not be as happy with the picture quality. We'd suggest taking a look at the Bravia 7 if you want to stick with Sony, or if you're open to other brands please give us a call at 800-860-3736 and one of our TV experts can help you find a great model to match your needs and budget.
@CC-uh8gl They're very similar TVs. The Sony has 4 HDMI connections and the Samsung only has 3, which can make a difference to some users. As far as the picture goes, they're both very good for this price point. The black levels on the Samsung seem to be slightly darker, so if that's something you prefer then go with Samsung. If more HDMIs are more important, go with Sony. You can also give us a call at 800-860-3736 with any other questions or if you want to hear about our best available pricing on either model. We're always happy to help!
Part of the reason I bought my older 40" Bravia was for the ZOOM button on the remote, which I tried in the store before buying. No matter the source, you can use the ZOOM button to fill the screen, eliminating any black bars/unused areas. And without unnaturally stretching the picture vertically or horizontally. I saw ZOOM MODE on the bottom of this TV. Does this newer 55" have the exact same ZOOM that will totally fill the screen without distortion??? I won't buy a TV that doesn't have this feature! If I pay for a 55" TV. I want the screen filled without black bars. Can anyone confirm please? Tks! 🙂
