Love the start to this Kerby mate. My Sister in law had the same problem last year with her A1. You could 100% tell it was the brake dust shield, either a stone or rust. Jacked it up and spun the wheel and gave her the look and shook my head, "oh dear, sounds expensive". Sent her off in the house for a cuppa with the wife, came back in 5 minutes later straight faced again and she had the look of dread on her face, she didn't know what to think when I pulled the bit of gravel from my pocket and showed her. She called me all the names under the sun once I started laughing, sometimes it can be fun, you have to get a bit value when doing stuff for family and friedns. Nice to see Marv and John rock up in your video, proper hard working lads.
If using carb cleaner or brake cleaner etc on a diesel use a little. I see a Polish mobile chap doing a high pressure pump on ml270. He put so much in the air box it soaked the air filter. I come along got rid but then I primed the system correctly when it fired the thing did a semi runaway, and the sound diesels make on that stuff is basically like running it on petrol. Engine knocks like mad.
Also nice of your wife to make a cameo appearance. Maybe she could feature in every week’s video, like Lauren does in Rainman Ray’s content. And was that Mrs. Marvelous holding the camera when they were doing the clutch in the Shitroen?
I’ve not watched any of his videos tbf, well Mrs Kerbside has serviced her own car this week so she could make some more appearances fixing her own car 😂
Hey! Stumbled across your videos after the call out you did for me earlier today. Loving the content. What are the chances this is the first video I find with the stone stuck in the backplate, just like on my car! :D See you again soon mate, cheers!
Cheers man, I have, wouldn’t include them in the weekly videos as they’d be super long, maybe a few “how to” videos here and there for anything interesting if I have the time 👍
Your mans citreon van....fingers crossed none of his injectors fail... If thats the psa/iveco engine they fusion weld themselves to the head including the clamp bolts done a few now and i end up removing the head and getting a new head as its cheaper than getting it machined 🙄
@kerbsidemobilemechanic yeah i bundle up pretty good and my truck has a diesel fired heater in the back to jeep me and my equipment warm enough to work.
Late to the party but if that Transit connect has an oil cooler, it looks like possible failure. I have them go on the VW’s sometimes (mk4 golf etc) Just a possibility given the lack of other head gasket evidence. I had a Golf in as bad as that once and it took me days to flush it. Even then, wasn’t perfect.
My mrs kept getting these wee stones every bloody week, just knocked them out 3 times thinking 🤔 it’s just bad luck, 4th time I had enough took caplier off for clean up & slider pin rubber had swollen, trimmed abit off it sorted, slides in & out lovely, no more stones 🤦♂️😂

Lol yeah it’s scary when you put too much in, but I always spray it after the air filter and MAF sensor 👍
I am really enjoying your content
Thank you 👍
Refreshing to hear Customer instead of Client bull!
And some of them are now friends 👍

@@kerbsidemobilemechanic 😂😂love the weekly videos keep it up 👍🏽 would you consider doing in depth content on repairs? Love the vids once again

Transit connect will only be oil cooler replace and run up to temp with a dishwasher tablet a couple of times done loads of these
I’ll bare that in mind for next time, but this van has been on its last legs for a long time 😂
I want to see how you drill out that broken tap, cant think it will be easy.
When I went back it wasn’t too difficult tbf got lucky 👍🏼

What a nightmare that’d be
That whistle is boost actuator, had same problem on a vw crafter
Quite possibly, different engine etc thought isn’t it, did smoke come from the crafter one too?
@@kerbsidemobilemechanic smoke and a boost leak
This one had no codes forma boost leak and smoke test didn’t reveal any leaks
Tickled me the Mrs "can I pay you in dinners" we all know what you was thinking 😂😂😂,, smashed again as always 🤙🤙🤙
😂😂😂 nice one mate 👍
Get on wiv the mk2 so it's ready for spring / summer thrashing 😊
I like your thinking 👍
Oh man i'll take your wheather today! Im going out today to work at 16 below zero Fahrenheit.
Get some heated base layer tops from Milwaukee, game changer, I promise
@kerbsidemobilemechanic yeah i bundle up pretty good and my truck has a diesel fired heater in the back to jeep me and my equipment warm enough to work.
I’d love a diesel heater, probably sort it out for next year now 😅
A lot of youtubers have been sent that scope to review
Yeah I’d imagine so, pretty much free advertising isn’t it for them

Exactly what I spoke to The customer about, van was on its very last legs anyway so decided scrap was best option
Ah, I see. Makes sense! Yeah, probably not worth the hassle.
Deffo not on this one
Lmao its dear stone
😅
Bet ya front slider pin rubber has swollen kerby? On your mrs Golf
What makes you say that pal?
My mrs kept getting these wee stones every bloody week, just knocked them out 3 times thinking 🤔 it’s just bad luck, 4th time I had enough took caplier off for clean up & slider pin rubber had swollen, trimmed abit off it sorted, slides in & out lovely, no more stones 🤦♂️😂
Plus always used silicon grease, these can still swell
Hmm I’ll keep an eye out for anymore stones
Or get new pins/rubber, cheap enough
Christmas is early this week
