I used to tip my garbage truck at Clyde, I remember about 9 years ago there was an exhibition of track maintenance equipment between Parramatta road and the waste transfer station premises as id drive off Parramatta Rd to the left. This weird arse thing that could do something to rail ties. Equipment for measuring the gauge. I asked if I was allowed in to look at the exhibition and I was so I tipped the truck, parked it up and spent an extended lunch break there.. went back to the garbage yard I worked like a little kid that just came home from the Easter show with many different showings of exhibitors things and I Still cherish the 5mm cut piece of rail that was given to me lol. The garbage truck mechanics were impressed by the precision cutting of the rail and maintenance equipment brochures. Bit of a monologue ive typed here ha
