- Moderate to difficult 8 mile HIKE (Loop hike) that requires some route finding, rock hopping and a little boulder climbing. Features many interesting Rock Formations. Great vistas and view points. Oasis in the desert with turtles, fish, and frogs. Includes fall colors, a thick forested area with ponds. Hiked December 2020.

Thank you for great video. I'm not sure if this is the same hike a old friend and BSA leader Jim Stapley used to discuss. Unfortunately, he's passed away and we never got to go on the hike. Jim described a hidden valley with what I thought was a spring fed pond and a maybe some old home ruins. It's been many years, and my memory might be a little off in description. Either way, it looks like a nice doable hike that I would like too check out this winter or spring.
Gets pretty thick with vegetation through there I was quite surprised. Love finding that little bit of hidden water in the desert.
Glad you found it. It's one of my favorite locations in the Superstition Mountains.
Praise God, he sure is an artist! One of the many reasons im building a ranch off grid in a place very much like this near kingman.
Evidently, the recent fires did not damage this section. I am very familiar with the trail portion of the hike. I have not yet hike in the wash back north. I did, however, hike a slot canyon and wash farther west with three other hikers. We ended the hike at a recreation area west of the same trailhead from where your hike began. Thank you for pointing out the oasis in the desert.
I just hiked this trail last month and I was trying to figure out what that old foundation was! Great video
Kinda looks like Boulder canyon
I grew up hiking in Supers my entire life... I am too old now and live out of state... I have a place you might want to know about I found over 50 years ago... love to have you explore it if your interested.
I would love to explore it. You can email me at hiddengemsofnature@gmail.com and we could discuss it. Thanks
Loved it!
Beautiful but scary
Beautiful back there, there was some bushwakin in the canyon i see. I would of liked to know where you came out at.
Came out the same trail head that I went in from. Enjoy your hike.
I was up by state park hiking kick up mule 🦌
All that Fountain Grass. It has gotten so much worse since this video was made. And the USFS does nothing.
