- Steve Forbert with Kami Lyle, Joey Spampinato, Lou Cataldo, and Tad Price at the City Winery in New York City on July 12, 2013. The band performs two songs from the full-album set of Alive On Arrival: "It Isn't Gonna Be That Way" and "Big City Cat" (featuring Kami on trumpet!).
Have barely listened to ANYTHING ELSE since I found you. Old stuff, new stuff, man, and it just keeps getting better. Each piece is SO DIFFERENT, BUT JUST AS AMAZING!! In the yard, shower, kitchen, when I walk my cats at night, when I wake up, when I volunteer; always listening to you. racking up thousands of views for you. Lol
You put BIG BOUNCE in my step and BIGGER SMILE IN MY HEART.....
EVERY DAY!!!
DITTO 🌠🇷🇪🦠✨
One of the greatest songs ever. Never ceases to inspire me, always gives me chills.
Great performance. Steve is truly a pure product of America. Real treasure.
Thank you Steve. You touch my soul! Love & Greetings from Canada.
I saw Steve at Syracuse University on the quad (a big outdoor campus show) in the mid seventies, when I was a student there. I have been a fan ever since. Not sure if he played a smaller club called The Jab on campus, as well in those days. I remember the student concert promoters name was Eric. I think they became good friends. His music still warms my heart and exhilarates my spirit all these years later! Forbert forever!
Fell instantly in love with your soul when I was 17 and saw you walk onto the stage at the Armadillo World Headquarters in my hometown of Austin, opening for Dire Straits. Since then, I've never made a mix tape/CD that didn't have at least one of your songs on it. You haven't been to the Cactus Cafe in too long now. Wish you would come back. You've added so much to my life. Heartfelt thanks.
Almost glad I didn't find him till 49. If I had come across him at 16; he would've turned me into a strait up stalker. Lol. When I first laid eyes on him, kinda reminded me of a best girl friend growing up. Lol. NOW, he's one of the most attractive men I've ever had the pleasure of laying eyes on.
Saw this lineup in AC a few years back, another great night with Steve. He closed out the Tin Angel last night with a fabulous show. If you're in the S. Jersey area, Steve will be @ Volume Cafe in Turnersville on March 18. I've followed Steve since the 70"s and have lost track on the number of shows, no two are alike. For those who have not seen him live, I highly recommend it...you won't be disappointed. Steve Forbert is a true American Gem that should not be missed! Still holding out hope that he performs "Lily of the West",...just once ! Maybe on March 18...
Indeed, JDG. Steve is "money in the bank" live. Guaranteed good music, and a good night out.
Steve you are always amazing and I can never see you enough. Love you so much.
This song is so heartbreakingly beautiful sometimes I can't even listen to it.
Genius and legend. Simple.
masterpiece............just beautiful............ why is he not huge?,,,,
Erika PJ that's couse he's so lovely, honest and down to earth, that didn't mind to became a commercial item, just plays for the love of music in his heart. i did learn that in new york, late 70's, when a guy in a music shop told us to get his first album! maria arias schreiber in bournemouth, england
good but ot as good as lcohen
still one of the BEST!
Just such a great singer and songwriter. Love this lineup as well-- did Joey and Kami put this band together?
I´ve followed you since "Romeo´s Tune" was played in my radio fr the first time!
Still love you and your music.
Rock on and greetings from Denmark, Europe.
I was there. Lovely evening, great concert!
Would love to see steve play in Toronto, still sounding awesome. Thanks for still sharing your music!!
Love it!
Just WOW. You should name a record/song something about boot/foot stomping...watching this and you and the lovely lady each doing the dance was fascinating to say the least and my feet were tapping too. Gotta admit tho, I'm with her, my feet like to be naked, even in the dead of winter. While the music is a phenomenon in itself, there is truly something to be said for stage presence.
WOW!! VERY NICE!! Thank-Q!!!
Went to madrid to see celtic only had steve forbert on the casette on the bus 1980 met steve last year in kinross legend
Wow, Steve, when are you coming to perform overseas here in Germoney? Really liked to hear you play, man! Cheeers, Ziggy

Steve rocks the house
Para cuando en España?
For when in Spain?
This has been a tough song to live with.
amazing!! If you like please give us ''CELLOPHAN CITY''
I have been a fan of Steve since the '70s.
The unusual thing about Steve is, although he has a unique and very limited vocal rage, he excels at ballads
Hear ya, Barb - Even tho he sucks, he's great. Gotcha. j/k
Yeah. Quite a complement, right?
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrow! at the keyboard player.
Crowd was unworthy that evening.
