It's like God said - all right Andrew, I will gift you this one perfect Pie Jesu...
This is from the Claude rains version.
Yup agree, the rest of his music is hohum, dull and predictable but worth the slog for this beauty and I'm fervent retired catholic.😅
My most favorite song that we sang in 8th grade public school choir... probably not being used much anymore... beautiful words of TRUTH!
I have been listening to Pie Jesu for hour on RUclips but this one, it blow me away. It's fantastic.
it is such a beautiful rendition but do please listen to the version of Faure sung by Kathleen Battle just as beautiful. Although, I must say the one by Faure is true to the catholic prayer it comes from, whereas, weber version is a mixture between Pie Jesu and I think Agnus Dei prayers.

Try Sisal, Norwegian singer!
To a dear who left earth to his heavenly home.
I listen so offten Pie Jesu, and other “classic” music, and please enjoy this when you are alive, not when you hear it on somebody’s funeral !!! That’s my opion 🙏🏻
Pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu
Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem
Pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu, pie Jesu
Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem
Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei, Agnus Dei
Qui tollis peccata mundi
Dona eis requiem, dona eis requiem
Dona eis requiem
Sempiternam
Dona eis requiem
Sempiternam
Requiem
Sempiternam
Thank you for the lyrics.
Thank you so much 🥲🥹
Yet again an angels voice , God bless her now and for always
I have never heard someone hit the Ab so easily before. This version is particularly fast but still extremely beautiful.
What I found interesting is she pronounced 'tolis' at 0:53 which is the famous high Ab as 'talis' to make it sound higher because imo the vowels in order from highest to lowest are ieaou not aeiou and I find it an interesting adaption. Or it could just be an accent but whatever maybe I'm reading in between the lines too much.
@@IceOfPhoenix88 who is the main singer? Tal or Amelia?
@@taylafallon6114 Jimmy Dean , the sausage king.
Wow, best version of this absolute soul moving sound. I am with the Angels
I guess all of us want this played at our funeral, make it official, and let all cry again to this beautiful medley from above. Yes I also would like it when I die may the lord indulge us all ..
I have requested if for my funeral as well as the Pie Jesu from Faure's Requiem.
lmao I came here bc someone asked for this to be played in their wedding and I read this comment 😳🤐 bye
This is probably one of my favorite settings of this. Great Job!
Je suis très touché par cette prestation. Voix magnifiques et musique sublime.❤
Holy this is beautiful! Well done girls
Beautiful!
Well done, tears are forming.
Pie Jesu ! 😢😢 Meine Mutter ist vor 10 Jahren an Brustkrebs gestorben ! Und dieses Lied habe ich zur Beerdigung 🪦 von meiner Mutter gehört!! 😢😢😢 I MISS YOU MOM . SO MUCH !!

i found the sheet music for this from years ago in choir and so much repressed stressed from this song resurfaced so fast
Oh!! I was just thinking about my old sheet music. 🥺🥰💓 I remember everything.. it's like a tidal wave. 😔

Happy Easter 2018
How come a 6ft 3 Big lad be reduced to tears when hearing this.
People always seem to believe big men should be tough all the time. My brother is like you in build and people are like that with him. Even at the doctors, they're laissez-faire just because he's large. But we all have deep feelings, regardless of stature. I just wanted to share that with you. All the best.
Very few have hit it right. I tried myself with a young soprano at my senior recital. Grrrrr
Amen and Amen
Sacred.
Yes I agree!! but do please listen to the version of Faure sung by Kathleen Battle just as beautiful. Although, I must say the one by Faure is true to the catholic prayer it comes from, whereas, Weber version is a mixture between Pie Jesu and I think Agnus Dei prayers.
MERAVIGLIOSO 🤩 🙏🏻 1:38 !!!
❤️🔥❤️
1000th like !!
Organ scholar is pulling off some awkward reduction parts from the vocal score, well done!
💯❤💔
anybody have recommendations for more christian music that sounds like this?
Pie Jesus
What, they turned the lights off so we can't see they sing with no mask on ???
You may want to check the upload date. This is a live recording from October 2011, long before the pandemic started. New College Chapel is very dark indeed. It was really quite difficult for the singers and the organist to see the conductor.
donna eis requiem
Pie Jesu is great a Latin Christian song
Pie jesu domine *smack* donE eis requiem *smack*
Headphones recommended
Think this music was in the film the rising sun a young Christian Bale was in a choir singing this.
1951 "Fly, My Doves" ruclips.net/video/yrtpD6RC9mE/видео.html - is good too, isnt it?
Can someone translate this song in English?
You can find a number of English translations online, e.g. in this Wikipedia article: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pie_Jesu.
@@somervillechoir tks...😀
Do you mean into English?
This is. . . Requiem.
Mozart wrote and composed this ,REQUIEM ......this is webber's interpretation
UTER
not bad but not even close to Malakai's version
this is Webber's composed , Mozart wrote it .
Adriane Fox , this version is by Webber and there are different words with different music in other composers ‘ reqiuem versions.
Sharon you are uneducated idiot.
@@Herr_Flick_of_ze_Gestapo don't be unnecessary mean!

Are you sure Webber comprised thus piece.
Jesus never existed but it's a great song.
If you are willing to ask, he will come to you.
Jesus definitely existed
