i love how they have a good balance of messing around and actually doing what is being asked. i feel like a lot of the time when youtubers do this kind of activities i end up feeling bad for the person giving the class/activity because the youtubers are just not taking it seriously at all. its a massive skill to make something as mundane as etiquette school entertaining but still informative

I have a terrible memory, but the one upside to that, is that when I rewatch a video I haven’t seen in a long time, it’s almost like I’m watching it for the first time 💀😂
But generally, it’s just nice to revisit old content that made me really happy and laugh a lot. It’s why I have such a huge amount of love for RUclipsrs. They create content that can make my day a whole lot better 🥹
I used to work at a country club, and let me tell you, some of them elderly gals will be prim, proper, and absolutely scalding of your etiquette, while their husband is on the golf course with a literal zip locked bag full of cocaine. I have heard some of the foulest jokes ever uttered while bartending on the men, and then their wife will come in and be upset that her silverware is 6 degrees off of a perfect right angle.
Fr I had the same experience working at a country club. It’s horrible.

ngl, stuff like this is actually very helpful for autistic people like myself. i have so much anxiety about not knowing or understanding social cues and scripts. so this is genuinely helpful
understandable but most of this is just for pretentious and/or old people. younger people will assume you're uncomfortable with them if you follow all these rules instead of acting more casually
@ratrat9241 nah a lot of the stuff is very helpful in day to day interaction and even simply being clean and taking care of yourself. The handshake is really good for professional environments and so is the small talk. In more casual settings perhaps the conversions dont need to remain light, but the rules on how to intoduce folks to other friends and how to interact with new people you've never spoken to are highly relevant.

I'd have to give this video a 10/10, and I honestly think the 4 of you should just start making weekly videos where you're given random scenarios and you act them out. I've seen plenty of improv comedy, but the 4 of you together are great at it, and I have a feeling the majority feels the same.

it has been 10 years since I have felt this feeling of secondhand fear of punishment on behalf of the teenage boys I went to middle school with
I took an etiquette class before and it basically went like this. I launched the eggs all over the floor, my one friend took of her shoes during the meal, my other friend walked over to where the food was being served and started filling up a napkin with French toast sticks. These etiquette teachers have truly seen it all.

I love this except the idea to put your unwanted food at 11 o’clock so everyone else can constantly see it.
Fr I was confused. I swear you're supposed to discreetly spit into a napkin then fold it and place on the table.
If it must go on the plate it going at 6 would be the best place, which lowers the chance someone will see it. And considering these snobby people sit there and analyze how much food you have on a fork, they're gonna notice the food on your plate if it's at 11.
I thought this for a second but my brother is a chef and in a fancy expensive restaurant this is good because you do want them to see it. If you’re paying A TON for food and it’s got something weird in it or it’s cooked wrong they will hopefully see it and ask you what the problem was and then hopefully offer a solution so then you don’t have to be a Karen and bring it up. I feel like it’s the most polite way to say “hey there’s something wrong with my food”. Cause it’s not often as an adult ordering your own food being able to read a menu that you get your food and spit something out. Because you know what you’re ordering so you probably like it or like the idea of it. So it’s likely to be an issue with how it was cooked or there was something weird in it.
@@lilq4593this makes sense actually. because going by the way jules is teaching about how ur supposed to say positive things you can't discuss this at the table and vote on whether to tell the staff about it (what I would probably do 'guys there's something weird in my soup should I say something' 'just pick it out' 'no but it's soup it cooked in there' 'yeah that's kinda gross what if someone's allergic'), and idk when you'll have the chance to wave the staff over so better they see it and ask
