Another excellent video! I had this exact problem yesterday with plugged bar oiler holes and I remembered the money saving tips from this video and saved my machine. Dony saved me money again. Thanks Dony!!!
Excellent tips, Don! If my Oiler Worm Gear is different, I will consult an online Exploded Parts Diagram if I don't have it a manual and maybe watch videos about it for my make and model. And showing how the Oiler Worm Gear works with the Oil Pump Gear is great for people like me. I tend to always buy OEM parts for their quality, but it is another great tip. Bar oil holes chain seat cleaning tips and everything. Thanks again and I hope you and your family are doing well. Please give your wife a hug from me.
There are quality aftermarket parts out there as well. Oregon has excellent quality saw parts for example. Keep in mind the manufacturers are buying in the original OEM parts for their saws from China as well.
The sprockets on my chainsaws are worn to varying degrees. Would you be interested in making a vid showing the different types of sprockets and explaining when they are worn enough to replace? Thanks for your great vids!
Thanks as always for a very informative video. Can you do a video on top 3 reasons why my chainsaw cooks crooked? Is it uneven sharpening of the chain, warped bar, or something else?
Brand new bar on an ms310. I pull the bar upward when tightening the sprocket cover. The oiler works, but when running the saw the oil comes out around the bar and you can see the oil above and below the bar. Bar is 28" tsumara light. Found a chain guide block that was a high spot on the body of the saw and removed it. Bar makes complete contact with the body of the saw with no gaps. I am also tightening the front nut a little more than the back to make sure there is complete contact between the bar and oiler. Very little oil is reaching the bar and most is spilling out around the top of the bar
Hi I have an old S 200 Toro snowblower ! Have you ever tried to replace the main auger straight rubber blades with the newer rubber curved blades ??? Thanks Chris
I had that problem with Ms 250 in 2021.I will tell everybody that i maintace my chainsaws evry time after wood cutting. The oil line was problem and my stihl service dealer replace it.She oils perfectly after repair.
Wow, that chain at 1:18 has almost nothing left of the cutters. I've never seen one that bad. Someone did a lot of cutting and sharpening with that chain.
I think one of the reasons is they've tuned some of them to just barely oil the chain for "environmental" reasons. The only reason I can tell mine is oiling the chain is that the bar oil needs to be refilled.
Run your saw with the bar pointing at a piece of cardboard. You'll see the oil fly off the bar tip add full throttle because it will spray bar oil onto the cardboard.
They like Donny Boy They want to keep him busy, so he can make a living They don’t have the time because they are working 12 hrs a day 7 days a week They have kids To busy returning calls to clients Maybe need a little time for a beer or get ready for tomorrows job Had enough?
What about the opposite situation where the the clutch area is flooded with oil? Oil port dispenses oil to the bar which sprays off the chain nicely during the cardboard test. Oil flow adjusting screw has been turned down to minimum setting.
Thank you for a very comprehensive and detailed video, keep up the good work ✌️🇺🇲
It's always a pleasure to see a new video from Dony. Thanks for an excellent repair video. 👍👍👍👍👍

I have enjoyed watching you grow this channel over the years ... all the best. MCGA
On the Homelite XL the most common reason is the oil tank cap that is not sealing enough or missing the gasket.
Great video Donny!
Thanks for another great video.
Good video buddy very helpful thanks for sharing
Thanks for the tip.
Didn't realize they have winter oil for the blade. Great tip about lining up the oiler worm gear spring. Great video, thanks.
Thanks. I learn something every day.

After two hours of cutting stop and clean bar and housing, then lube the bar good and grease roller 😊
Great video! Thanks!

Another idea is to enlarge the hole on your bar, to allow more oil to flow. Cutting dead wood in a clean up job really does a job on the saws.

Check that you have oil in the saw. Great vid Dony, thanks?, 👍👍
I like how you show AND tell.
I expected #1 to be no bar oil in the saw! 😉
I thought that was common sense??? lol

I learned a new word today: 'scie à chaîne'.
I always thought the French term was 'tronçonneuse'.
You can use both!
FWIW, Don... We're not sending our best people up there, but please don't build that WALL ! 🙀🙀
New saws do not oil as much as saws use to-even more critical to maintain your oil system!!!!!!!
I can't understand why people spend money on chainsaws and can't even maintain them properly 😒
Me too and It’s the same thing with other equipment they own like motor vehicles.
@@Flammable281Personally, I own a Chevy Equinox built in "Canada" ! And as a matter of fact that is no mere Accident... 😏

Because customers don’t learn and are lazy.

I always use oem parts
OE = OEM
Original equipment.
